Responsible for administering undergraduate program in Recreation, administering the graduate Park and Recreation Resource Management Program (PRRM), teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising internships, supervising graduate projects in HPER, developing a master's program in Park and Recreation Resource Management, revising the undergraduate program in Recreation in 1996, developed a no-new resources Hospitality Option with Allegany College, developed an off-campus 4-year program utilizing the Recreation, Parks and Leisure Studies program at the CCBC Catonsville, and prepared the self-study report for NRPA/AALR accreditation. Project Director. U.S. Coast Guard grant awarded to the National Recreation and Parks Association to print four part color proof copies of the boating safety manual. Funded: FY 1993 for $15,000. Model Safe Boating Manual. Project Director. U.S. Coast Guard grant awarded to the National Recreation and Parks Association to develop a model safe boating manual to be used by the states. Funded: FY 1992 for $158,720. Potomac River Study. Project Director and Principle Investigator for project titled "Technical Assistance in Developing Guidelines for Interpreting Water Levels of the Potomac River and Creating a System to Make the Users Aware of the Dangers of the Different Water Levels." State of Maryland, Department of Natural Resources, Boating Administration Planning and Policy Program. (Note: All seven reviewers ranked the proposal number one). Generated a 305 page report. June 1991 to January $39,529. LRPRA Resident Survey. Consultant. Conducted a recreation survey of residents for the Lake Ridge Park and Recreation Association. Funding: $500. Project enabled national distribution of River Canoeing and Canoe Camping wallcharts. Funded: FY 1991 for $55,000. River Rescue Film. Project Director. U.S. Coast Guard grant awarded to the American Canoe Association. The film won a gold metal at the New York Film Festival. Funded: FY 1990 for $87,500. Film Distribution Grant. Project Director. U.S. Coast Guard grant awarded to the American Canoe Association. Project consists of developing an advertising brochure for the film "Cold, Wet and Alive" and for the purchase of videos and films by the Coast Guard. Funded: FY 1990 for $55,800. EMPLOY. Funded: FY 1988 for $3,600; project continued in 1989 and (Total Funding: $10,800) Canoe Camping Wallchart. Project Director. U.S. Coast Guard grant awarded to the American Canoe Association.
