4 Directions Fair Lawn High School Berdan Ave Fair Lawn, NJ From Route 20: Make right onto Morlot Ave (33 rd St) at the light by the Riverside Manor. Go over the bridge and continue on Morlot to end. Turn left on River Rd and make right at light onto Berdan Ave. Take Berdan past the front of Fair Lawn HS and make 1 st right onto Fairclough Pl. Parking lot is first right. From Route 4 West: Stay straight to Route 208 N. Take the Fair Lawn Ave W ramp (2nd FL Ave exit). Take Fair Lawn Ave to first light and make left onto Orchard St. Go to end. Fair Lawn HS is in front of you. Turn left onto Berdan Ave and make 1 st right onto Fairclough Pl. Parking lot is first right. From Route 208 South: Take the Fair Lawn Ave Exit ramp. At light go straight onto Orchard St. Go to end. Fair Lawn HS is in front of you. Turn left onto Berdan Ave. and make 1 st right onto Fairclough Pl. Parking lot is first right. 5 Parking: Buses and equipment trucks will go past the front of the HS on Berdan Ave, make the first right onto Fairclough Pl, and the first right into the parking lot. Buses will be directed to park in our lot on Burbank St., around the back of the school. Trucks will be directed to park in this lot after unloading at the loading dock. There is limited spectator parking in this main lot, use on the street parking. Please be mindful of street parking signs and restrictions. Unloading Area: Equipment will be unloaded at the loading dock, please advise by if you are unable to use the loading dock. You will be directed to the unit check-in and loading dock by our A Gym. Volunteers will be available to direct you to the parking area, to check you in and to distribute wristbands or hand stamps to students. A guide will be provided to escort your group. Registration: The unit check-in is located by loading dock, A Gym entrance. Restrooms: On first floor only. Restrooms are marked. No one is permitted on the second floor at any time. Changing Areas: Classrooms will be assigned to each ensemble. Please put garbage in cans and leave the room as you found it. Tickets: Tickets $10 for adults, $8 students & senior citizens. No entrance at front of school. Enter from rear parking lot, under the canopy. Power Source/Sound Check: Power source will be available at the front and rear of performance area. Sound checks can be conducted prior to 5:45 p.m. Warm-Up: Weather-permitting, your ensemble may rehearse outside, except where noted. NO OUTDOOR REHEARSAL AFTER 9 PM. Your guide will direct you to your inside warm-up area and stay with you until after your performance. See schedule for time and location. Floor/Prop Storage: Floors/Props can be stored in the hallway behind the performance gym. Your guide will direct you. Performance Area: Ensembles will enter the performance gym from the back left and exit from the front right of the spectator stands and exit directly out to the parking lot to load. Fold Line: The fold line will be vertical. Ensembles should unfold the floor on the left side of the performance area, and pull across. Loading Area: Following your performance, you will be directed out the door to the left of the gym exit to the parking lot to load. Floors can be brought to the hallway outside of warm-up A. Folding in warm-up A begins after 5:45. (map will accompany below) DropBox: Adjudicator commentary for all USBands can be located via DropBox, shortly after the conclusion of each ensemble's performance. Directors may share this folder access with staff/instructors, and may request help from USBands representatives to resolve any issues accessing DropBox folders. Retreat/Critique: Drum and guard captains, or students chosen by their director should report to the performance entrance no later than 10:00. Post-event critique will be in the Judge s Suite. Directors and staff please enjoy complimentary food in our hospitality suite adjacent to the Judge s Suite during critique and throughout the day. Awards: Awards will consist of 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd place trophies, and participation awards. Important Event Information Concessions: Full service food is available in our Cafeteria, with ample seating. Grab & go items will be available just outside of the B Gym, where the units are performing. Credentials/Access: USBands credentials are needed in order to enter the critique area and performance floor. Video/Audio Recording: One member from each ensemble with a Media Pass (see Director s Packet) will be allowed to record the performance for archive-purposes only.
