4 IMP ORTANT EVENT INFORMATION Parking: Parking will be allowed at any spot in the Westhill parking lots that have not been reserved for the event trucks and buses. Overflow parking, if necessary, will be available at the elementary school across the street. Westhill personnel will be available to direct spectators if there are questions. Please contact Westhill in advance if you require additional assistance for parking or accessing the gym. Trucks and equipment will be directed via personnel and signs to Westhill s second entrance. Restrooms: Each ensemble will be assigned a designated classroom to put down personal belongings, change, or relax while they are at Westhill. Bathrooms on this floor will be made available to the ensembles. Again, personnel and signage will identify these rooms to the ensembles. Member Re-Entry: Ensemble buses will be instructed to drop off the students in the front of Westhill s main entrance. Personnel and signs will direct the ensemble to the main lobby of the school for check-in. Tickets: Tickets for the event will be $12. Children 6 and under are admitted free. Credit cards will be accepted. Tickets will be sold at the building entrance that leads directly to the gym. Warm Up: Each ensemble will be assigned to Warm-Up Area A or B (separated by a cloth divider) prior to their performance. The warm-up areas are adjacent to the Main Gym where the final performance will be held. If weather permits, once each ensemble unloads their instruments, they can practice by the football field, baseball fields, tennis courts or by the loading dock area (NO OUTDOOR WARM-UPS AFTER 8 PM), however, they cannot practice in the area where the trucks will be traveling. In the event of inclement weather, each ensemble will only have the opportunity to practice indoors within the Warm-Up rooms at their designated times. Arena Logistics: Performance area is approximately 100 x 55. Horizontal timeline. Power on floor: Power will be at both front and back center court. Prop Storage: Floors/props can be stored at the rear, audience left of the gym. Competition Suite: Adjudicator commentary for all USBands ensembles can be located in Competition Suite shortly after the conclusion of each ensemble's performance. Directors may grant access to the ensemble s portal with staff/instructors, and may request help from USBands representatives to resolve any issues accessing Competition Suite. Retreat/Critique: Captains only report to warm-up gym at the start of Westhill s performance. Post-event critique will be in the cafeteria upstairs. Awards: Trophies will be distributed. Souvenirs/Merchandise: N/A Concessions: Concessions will be located in the cafeteria, directly upstairs from the gym lobby.
