1 WEEK OF JANUARY 31 st, 2011 STUDENT LEADERSHIP TO HELP WITH MORNING PARKING LOT MASTER CALENDAR PRESCHOOL February Half Day Closed Holiday 16 Kindergarten Information Meeting 5:30pm 21 All Programs Closed - Holiday One of the most repeated suggestions for improvement that our Admin Team hears are requests to work on the car line for morning drop off. Well... help is on the way! Starting next week (January 24th) our Middle School Student Leadership Team will be assisting with car line during morning drop off, from 7:45-8:00am (the busiest time). This will allow 3 additional people to be added to the morning drop off line, and will allow seven (7) cars at a time to have car doors open and students assisted from the cars. We think this will help our parents get through the line a little more quickly and off to work. Yeah! So look for our Student Leadership students. Until we are able to get some new parking lot jackets for them, they will be wearing the black Student Leadership Team shirts. Look for them on the sidewalk along side our wonderful assistants and know that they are there to help. As a reminder... please remember to always drive safely and slowly in our parking lots and stop all cell phone use while driving. Thank you. PSF FAMILY FELLOWSHIP Family Ice Skating Fun! Doesn't all this chilly weather put you in the mood for a little ice skating? Come join CCS families Sunday, Jan. 30th from 1:30-3:00 at the OC Ice Palace! (24631 La Palma Ave. Yorba Linda) The cost for ice time and skate rentals is $13 at the door, and if we have over 35 skaters attend Ice Palace will donate 50% back to CCS. What a great chance for some family fun while supporting our school!

2 SCRIP NEWS Our families are doing so well with scrip! We have fifteen families whose tuition credits are over $150.00, the highest being $959.72! And there are still two months to go until this year s final tuition payment! It is a change in buying habits to use scrip, but it s so great to see the return not only to our families, but to our schools. Thank you so much for your participation. Scrip Bonuses: Build-A-Bear Workshop: 2% bonus through Feb. 1st Chili s/macaroni Grill: 2% bonus through Feb. 15th COACH S CORNER MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS Mountain Valley Christian Jr. High League Southern Division Baseball Title Congratulations to the Crossroads Middle School Boys Baseball Team for their Repeat win of the Mountain Valley Christian League Jr. High, Southern Division Baseball Title. The boys go into the playoff with a 10-0 record. Check Edline for the latest information. If you are interested in helping with the yearbook we will be having a meeting on February 8th at 2:45. Please join us to learn how to upload pictures and create pages. If you have any questions please call Tricia in the Elementary office. We also still need pictures from all school events this school year. If you have any photos that you would like to see in this year s yearbook please put them on a CD and turn them in to the office. MIXED BAG The company we used for our fundraiser, Mixed Bag Designs, has made us a great offer to continue our fundraiser in a very low maintenance way all year. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SPORTS Inland Empire Christian League - Elementary Travel League Cougar Soccer Team 3 0 Crossroads won their third game in a row defeating Redlands (5C team), 6 to 1. Scoring goals were Nico P., Caleb J., and Dylan R. Jared R. scored a hat trick, scoring three times. On the Crossroads soccer team are Gianna C., Sophia G., Daniela V., Maddie J., Madison H., Kaleb P., Luke A., Lanie J., Josiah C., Nick L., Caleb J., Kobe J., Madison G., Zach C., Nico P., Jared R., and Dylan R. Our coaching staff is Beauchamp, Cosenza, Pavez and Jensen.
