1 Artistic Dance News No 14 August 2014 Dear Members and Friends of Artistic Dance! Our focus is now on the 2014 WADF World Championships to be held in Liberec, Czech Republic, 29th October 2nd November. We are expecting many dancers with exciting enrollments from at least twenty (20) countries. These dancers will be participating in over 1000 competitions making it one of the largest dance events on record. Every competition has been allocated two possible days, the exact date will be announced after the enrollment closing date of Wednesday 1st October. All competitions can be seen in our Calendar, where the two possible dates are shown in the first column. The PDF file for each Discipline can be downloaded and the Calendar viewed by the following link:- The facilities in the Babylon Hotel are ideal for our structure, especially for our Mini-Kids, Juveniles and Juniors with the indoor amusement park in the basement, including an adventure bath and other thrilling things to do during free time. Parents are also made very welcome in this very large hotel so that the whole family can combine the World Championships with fun, competitions and pleasure. 3 Invitation to an INTERNATIONAL ADJUDICATOR SEMINAR WADF Members are hereby invited to send candidates to an International Championships Adjudicator Seminar. This Seminar is open to all National Adjudicators who have previous experience in adjudicating dance competitions and have passed a National WADF Adjudicator Seminar or has otherwise been qualified by their WADF National Artistic Assembly. This Seminar is free-of charge but any candidate wishing to take the examination to become registered as a WADF International Championship Adjudicator will be required to a (Euro) License Fee. The license is for life and does not have to be upgraded and there is no yearly License Fee. This Seminar will be held in: Liberec, Czech Republic on Tuesday 28th of October in CENTRUM BABYLON HOTEL starting at 14:00 hours. 4 Notice of the 2014 WADF AGA 18:00, Tuesday 28th October Hotel Babylon, Liberec, Czech Republic Proposals must be received at the Head Office by 30th September. Deadline for Amendments to proposals is 14th October. The Final Agenda will be circulated on 21st October. Supportive Members are welcome to attend the meeting as Observers. Active Single Members have one (1) basic vote. Active Branch Members have two (2) basic votes. All Members who have registered their dancers for WADF Licenses will receive additional votes according to the number of current up-to-date Licenses that have been issued. One (1) additional vote per twenty (20) current Licenses.

6 THE WADF hereby invites all members to enroll competitors for the WADF World Championships in Liberec 29/10-02/ We are proud to announce that over 1000 competitions will be included in the programme, divided over 5 days in 2 and sometimes 3 halls. 20 countries are expected with the highest number of enrolments to date for a WADF Championship event. It promises to be one of the largest dance events ever. Enrolment Closing Date: The closing date for enrolments, made by WADF Members only, is 1st October 2014 Enrolment Fees: 10 Euro for one discipline, 20 Euro for two disciplines, 30 Euro for three disciplines or more. The starting fees will be collected by the Organiser in accordance with the WADF Competition Rules & Regulations. Active Members may enroll dancers for all disciplines. Supportive Members may only enroll dancers for Beginners and Open Class competitions. Competitor Licenses: Beginners and Open Class competitors do not need to have a Competition License. Competitors for all other competitions must hast a current Competition License. The license fee for 2014 is 10 Euro, valid until 31st December 2015 must be paid before any enrolments can be made. 7 New WADF Disciplines We have pleasure to announce that two new disciplines have been added to our already extensive roaster of disciplines in the WADF Rule Book. We are thankful to Milena Nalbantova, a member in Bulgaria, for the Ethno Dance Show competition rules in the Stage Dance Division. Also to Antoinette Van Wyk, a member in South Africa, for helping us to finalise the Artistic Acrobatic Dance competition rules in the Artistic Fitness Dance Division. Both these ladies are experts in their respective fields and with confidence we insert the rules for ratification by the AGA on 28th October in Liberec.
