Almost without exception, there is only one way to make a great deal of money in the business world and that is in ONE S OWN BUSINESS. 2. The businessman should never lose sight of the CENTRAL AIM of all business to produce more and BETTER GOODS or provide more or BETTER SERVICES to more people at lower cost. 3. A sense of THRIFT is essential for success in business. The businessman must discipline himself to practice economy whenever possible, in his personal life as well as his business affairs. Make your money first then think about spending it. 4. Legitimate opportunities for expansion should never be ignored or overlooked. On the other hand, the businessman must always be on his guard against the temptation to OVEREXPAND or launch expansion programs blindly, without sufficient justification and PLANNING. Forced growth can be fatal to any business, new or old. 5. A businessman must RUN HIS OWN BUSINESS. He cannot expect his employees to think or do as well as he can. If they could, they would not be his employees. 6. The businessman must be constantly alert for new ways to IMPROVE his PRODUCTS and SERVICES and increase his production and sales. He should also use prosperous periods to find the ways by which techniques may be improved and costs lowered. It is only human for people to give little thought to economies when business is booming. That, however, is just the time when the businessman has the mental elbow room to examine his operations calmly and objectively and thus effect important savings without sacrificing quality or efficiency. 7. A businessman must be willing to TAKE RISKS to risk his own capital and to lose his credit and risk borrowed money as well when, in his considered opinion, the risks are justified. But borrowed money must always be promptly repaid. Nothing will write finis to a career faster than a bad credit rating. 8. A businessman must constantly seek new horizons and untapped or UNDER-EXPLOITED MARKETS. 9. Nothing builds confidence and volume faster or better than a reputation for STANDING BEHIND ONE S WORK OR PRODUCT. GUARANTEES should always be honored and in doubtful cases, the decision should always be in the customer s favor. A generous service policy should also be maintained. The firm that is known to be completely reliable will have little difficulty filling its order books and keeping them filled. 10. No matter how many millions an individual amasses, if he is in business he must always consider his wealth as a means for IMPROVING LIVING CONDITIONS everywhere. You meet someone for the first time, and you leave them with the idea that they have a "bad" attitude. Although you have nothing to really pinpoint, you are just sure. 13 May 2008 Page 13 Crystal Wyss in the SPOTLIGHT Who is your Premier Mom and what did she do that made you want decide to give Premier a try? Kathi and Barry Pfahl are my Premier Parents! All Kathi said was, Crystal, had you done this show you would have made $300.00! I said, What for doing what you just did? Where do I sign up? How long have you been in Premier, and what was your Why? I have been working Premier since September My Why was to quit my full time ten year career to be a stay at home mom with a flexible schedule. How has Premier impacted your life? Oh, let me count the ways for starters I believe I am a better Mom. I think that if my son Mason hears me say one more time What you think about you bring about! he may just vomit. Oh well, he s catching on! Second, the FRIENDS & FUN, at trainings, rallys, trips and home shows. Unbelievable! Most importantly, the amazing spiritual growth that I have been searching a long time for! What do you feel you do best? I feel that I am great at asking for direction or advice then doing what my upline, sidelines and down line tell me has worked to make them successful. I have an open mind (not creative), and I am willing to try anything at least a few times to see if it can better my success or my downline s success. What are you doing differently this year to make your 2008 GREAT? This year to make my 2008 great, I am following up with leads within a few days from meeting them, Striking while the iron is hot. I am also stepping outside my comfort zone and talking about Premier to already successful women that last year I found intimidating because they obviously had it all! Have you had any disappointments and what kept you going? Disappointments? What me? No! Of course I have had and always will have disappointments in my Business: no guests, no lists, $50 home shows with ten guests, but the biggest disappointment has been declined credit cards! But I don t look at it as a disappointment anymore; it s just a hurdle. Women can still do Premier without a Premier Card, and WOW what a feeling to know that we, Premier, have a solution, an opportunity to change the situation they are in while having FUN! We have it ladies, now go share it! Remember disappointments will only make you stronger; just keep pressing on! What is your current booking activity? My current booking activity is first dropping seeds throughout my show, then telling and showing the guests how they can have an Extreme Closet Makeover for as little as $ Who wouldn t want to have a home show? I also use their wish lists at checkout. What is your current sponsoring activity? For my sponsoring activity, I start my show with Big Money - very straightforward, not a lot of fluff. Then at survey time, I just share what I have to offer from the heart and have them ask five questions for Diva Dollars. What advice would you give new jewelers? Premier works when you work it. Decide NOW to work your business consistently. Share what you do with everyone, and remember you could change a life! Most important, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP! What are the 3 most important things you did to grow your business? First, I called my upline regularly and still do for advice, help encouragement, praise, whatever, and, if I don t have a reason to call, I just make one up! Second, I have NEVER missed a training, rally, trip, or any training that was offered! Third, I am being intentional offering Premier. What are your Premier Goals? My goals are to be as strong a leader for my girls as my upline has been for me, to help them achieve their dreams and goals, and to offer a dose of hope to anyone I come in contact with. Before December 26, I will promote to THREE DIAMOND! Kathi has taught me to Shoot for the moon; should I miss, I ll land among the stars.
