4 the "official" dish by Rip & Marsha Naquin-Delain Splash Beach Fest Memorial Day Weekend in Pensacola, Florida SPLASH Beach Fest will be held at Park East on Pensacola Beach Friday-May 25, Saturday-May 26 th & Sunday-May 27 th from noon until 7pm daily. The weekend festival will feature bar service, food and entertainment as well as a lineup of incredible DJs. All this and more under an 11,000 square foot pavilion. The daily festivities from noon until 7pm are open to the public with free admission for 18 and up. Bring your tents, cabanas, beach gear and leave the rest to Beach Fest personnel. They will have available a wide assortment of your favorite foods and snacks. It goes without saying that Beach Fest bars will be overflowing with ice cold cocktails, beer and other beverages. On Friday, DJ Dewight Barkley kicks off the SPLASH Beach Fest at 2pm with the Welcome Party. The weekend continues on Saturday at 2pm when DJ Jay- R turns up the heat for a sizzling afternoon of fun in the sun. DJ Tim Pflueger rounds out the weekend on Sunday at 2pm with Pensacola s hottest tea dance ever! The highlight of the weekend will be Saturday night s much anticipated WAVE dance party from 10pm until 4am featuring the international talent of DJ/ Producer Joe Gauthreaux and direct from New York, the infamous Bianca Del Rio. The glowing theme for this year s party is a Black Light Beach Bash. Tickets to WAVE can be purchased in advance for $40 at or at the Hampton Inn on the Beach Welcome Center on Friday & Saturday from noon until 6pm. The parade minus expenses has benefited charity for the past 11 years, bringing total donations now to over $147,439! Led by Easter Grand Marshals XIII Darwin Reed and Rhonda Roget, the 2012 parade brought some 47 units to the streets of the French Quarter including Pair-A-Dice Tumblers, New Orleans Bears walking group, carriages, wagons, trolleys, cars, and trucks on Easter Sunday, April 8. Highlights appear in this issue. The parade raised an incredible $ with most of it raised in a quick 6-week period leading up to Easter.
