(Shaktipuram Gali, Nawabi Road, Haldwani (Nainital) U.K.) Contact: , , us: Join us: VEDAK SHRI VED PRAKASH GUPTA MEMORIAL ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP & AWARD SCHEME ( ) For Inter Folk Group Dance & Singing Competition INTRODUCTION: Nupur Culture Welfare Society announces 'Vedak', the annual Shri Ved Prakash Gupta Memorial Scholarship & Award Scheme (since 2015) in remembrance of its founder Late Shri Ved Prakash Gupta. The two day cultural cum scholarship event 'Vedak' is a mélange of Art, Music & Dance and competitions in folk, classical, fine art, drama, vocal and musical inruments (Tabla, Violin & Sitar). OBJECT: Object of the Scholarship & Award is to promote the Classical and Folk arts of India and bring forth the hidden talents of Uttarakhand belonging to the cultural activities. CONDITIONS: The applicants mu be udying in the class groups (5-8) (Junior) or/and class groups (9-12) (Senior) on 1 July All groups will face group singing & dance competition i.e., Junior with Junior and Senior with Senior. In case of no. of groups fewer than five (in both dance & singing groups), only presentation of the particular group(s) will be considered. The number of candidates in each group (singing and dancing mu be 10 only) Decision of Judge(s )will be final Mementoes or certificates of Vedak Folk Group Dance & Singing Competition will be given to the respective Initutes/Individual after the competition or later; except awards for the winner Participant(s) which will be presented at the time of awards diribution.
