2 2013 JACKSON YFC REGISTRATION Jackson YFC Parents and Participants: A new season is once again upon us, and we are looking forward to an even better season than last year. This past 2012 season, was once again a GREAT ONE! We saw multiple football teams play into the post season, with our Jr. Midget team winning it all and taking the show on the road to the AYF Nationals in Florida, the first ever football team to do so! Our Cheer program continued in their achievements as well, with our Midget and Cadet teams taking 2 nd place at AYC Nationals in Florida. Additionally, our Jr. Midget team also placed high enough in the Big East to go onto Florida and compete and our Pee Wee s, went back to back to back and a belly to belly to belly and won out for another Championship Season! Just as important, many of our boys and girls continue to rank up high on the NJAYF Jersey Shore Scholastics Team in which only the top 2% of children in the league were chosen. It was a terrific season for all of our teams. Win or lose, our kids worked hard and had fun. That s what Jackson Youth Football and Cheer and the NJAYF is all about; inspiring success through FUN! I would like to thank our Board of Directors, coaches, parents and many volunteers for making this a very successful season. I would only hope that we can all continue our high level of enthusiasm to make the 2013 Season even better! Enclosed, please find the 2013 Coaches Code of Conduct, Participants Rules and the Parents Code of Conduct. The Coaches Code of Conduct is enclosed so that you may understand the rules that all of our coaches must abide by. The Parents Code of Conduct is a guideline for all, to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable time throughout the upcoming season. The signature page is to be signed by you and your child, and must be handed in to your child s head coach by August 1 st, or on the first day of practice. *Also note our REFUND POLICY which will be STRICTLY ADHERED TO!* The 2013 Registration Committee is providing this information to lay the groundwork for a positive and enjoyable time in our new league. If anyone should have any questions throughout the year, please speak to our President, Dean Pinto; Spirit Coordinator, Sue Pitlak; or our Football Coordinator, Tim Carrara. Their contact information is available at BOARD tab. The 2013 Registration Committee, as well as our Board of Directors, would like to wish everyone a fun filled season. Thank you, in advance, for your continued support and cooperation! GO JAGUARS! 2013 Registration Committee: John Devaney, 1 st Vice President Tim Carrara, Football Coordinator Sue Pitlak, Spirit Coordinator John Fortunato, Mitey Mite/Flag Football Coordinator Caroline Milani, Mitey Mite/Flag Spirit Coordinator

3 2013 JACKSON YFC PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT ALL COACHES AND HELPERS ARE VOLUNTEERING THEIR TIME TO YOUR CHILDREN AND OUR PROGRAM. YOUR COOPERATION, SUPPORT AND RESPECT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. 1. Please be prompt. If you are going to be late, try to notify the coach as soon as possible. 2. Stress the importance of attending practices and games. 3. Encourage your child to strive to do their best each day. 4. Work with the coaching staff. If you need to address an issue, please present alternatives. 5. Help us teach good sportsmanship by being positive and avoid talking about the other players or coaches in front of the children. 6. Do not use foul language at any time. 7. Please resolve any coaching conflicts privately. If you feel it cannot be resolved, speak to the coordinator of that program. 8. Cheer for all teams, and avoid displaying your displeasure in a negative way during a game. 9. Do not coach from the sidelines. Your child is part of a team and needs to do as instructed by their coaching staff. You can coach your child at home as much as you like. We would encourage you to become a coach yourself. 10. There is a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY in effect again this season. 11. At any Youth Football/Cheer event, practice or competition, any adult who 1) verbally abuses; 2) attempts to intimidate; 3) is fragrantly rude; and/or 4) cannot control their language or actions with an official, coach or Association volunteer, will be asked to leave the event. The term physical assault includes, but is not limited to, hitting, slapping, pushing, spitting, kicking or striking in any way with any body part or any physical implement.

4 2013 JACKSON Y.F.C. PARTICIPANTS RULES ATTENDANCE: Regular attendance is very important to the success of our program. Coaches must be notified, in advance, if your child will be absent from practice or a game. Parents must provide transportation to and from practices and games. When dropping off your child, please be sure that coaches have arrived. In the event of an injury, coaches will need to contact a parent/guardian for the participant. Please make sure your contact information is updated on your child(ren) s participant card. A parent, or someone designated by the parent, must pick up each child. If another adult will be picking up your child, the coach must be notified of the change in writing. Please be prompt when dropping off and picking up your child. No child will be allowed to leave without a parent, and no child may walk home. PRACTICE: Practice will be held at the Jackson YFC complex (next to the Lucy Holman School). Days and times will be determined by the coordinators and/or coaches in compliance with the Youth League Rules. Once school begins, practice will be less hours a week. The coaches will inform you of the nights of the week that practices will be held. In the event of inclement weather, parents should come for their child(ren) immediately, football/cheerleading practice cannot continue if there is thunder and lighting. GAMES: The games are held on Saturday and Sunday, however there may be a few games played during the week. Many towns, including Jackson, have lights on their fields. Our competition level teams (Cadet, Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr. Midget and Midget) may participate in post season play.
