The Villages of East Lake is not just another Atlanta apartment community, it is an important part of the East Lake Initiative. The East Lake Foundation leads the community development that transformed the East Lake community from a blighted housing development to a thriving community with diverse residents. Tywonia supports residents in a variety of ways but focuses on helping families achieve their goals. Since working with the Foundation, Tywonia has become a Financial Coach as focuses on helping residents set up budgets, save and improve their credit. Get connected today! We currently serve young child, ages 6 weeks through 3 years, from East Lake and the surrounding communities that zoned for the Atlanta Public School system. Acceptance is only done once a year, unless there are open spaces available. Acceptance occurs during the end of April and early part of May. Applications are accepted year round. 3 Senior Resource Day is an opportunity for our senior residents to fellowship and learn about topics important to them. This month the seniors will learn about managing their money on a fixed income and finding ways to save. The Budget BINGO game will also give the seniors and opportunity to share tips they have learned and get community resources that can help stretch their budget. The program uses the principles of discipline, hard work, sportsmanship and integrity to enhance academic achievement and life skills of youth. Golf Instruction also provides access to college scholarships, business connections and employment.
