3 SPORTS PROGRAMS Family Members: $53 Youth Members: $59 Community Participants: $80 Munchkin Basketball (Age 3-5) This class is designed to teach the basics of basketball with emphasis put on dribbling, passing and shooting. We introduce basic rules of the game and develop teamwork. W 5:00-5:40p Youth Gym Munchkin Triple Play (Age 3-5) This program is designed to give your preschooler the basic skills of soccer, basketball and baseball. They will spend 2 weeks on each sport with an emphasis on skill development, improving coordination and fun. TH 5:00-5:45p Youth Gym SA 8:30-9:10a Gymnasium Youth Basketball (Age 5-8) This program is designed to build basic basketball skills and develop a sense of teamwork and game awareness. New skills will be introduced weekly as the players build up to game playing situations. W 5:45-6:25p Gymnasium SA 9:15-9:55a Gymnasium Youth Tennis (Age 5-8+) Teaches the basics and lets children develop the skills they need to play the game. Proper strokes, volleying, serving and the rules of the game will be learned. Players need to bring their own racquet. Meets at The East Side Branch. M 5:00-5:40p ages 5-7 Gymnasium M 5:45-6:25p ages 8+ Gymnasium DANCE PROGRAMS Family Members: $60 Youth Members: $67 Community Participants: $90 Ballet & Tap Combo (Ages 3-6) For the dancer who wants to learn both ballet and tap in one class! Your child will learn classical ballet and tap, combining rhythm, timing, coordination and style. 4 GYMNASTICS GYMNASTICS ALL NEW FOR 2019! GYMNASTICS Gymnasts of all abilities have a great opportunity to have fun while developing a basic foundation for the sport of gymnastics. Our lessons help kids fine-tune their talents and love of the sport. Kids gain selfconfidence and can express themselves in this unique sport that combines creativity and physicality. In partnership with In Flight Gymnastics, we are pleased to offer gymnastics classes with Coach Brian La Roux. Brian has been coaching gymnastics for 44 years and was instrumental in developing the sport in South Africa. Parent & Child (walking-2 years) Learn the basics with your child as they learn to follow directions, improve balance, develop gross motor skills, gain strength, and selfconfidence. TU 9:45-10:30AM TU 4:00-4:45PM TH 9:45-10:30AM SA 9:30-10:15AM Munchkin Gymnastics (ages 3-4) A more progressive gymnastics development program, children learn to develop coordination, strength, flexibility, and balance through movement. TU 10:40-11:25AM TU 4:45-5:30PM TH 10:40-11:35AM SA 10:15-11:00AM KinderGym (ages 4-5) This class is a fun and exciting way for children to enjoy exercising while learning basic gymnastics skills. Our KinderGym class emphasizes strength and coordination through acrobatic movement. TU 5:30-6:15PM SA 11:00-11:45AM Youth Gymnastics (ages 6+) Children build on their skills, gaining flexibility and strength, while progressing at their own pace in a fun and safe environment. They will be introduced to basic gymnastics skills like cartwheels, roundoffs and handstands. TU 6:15-7:00PM SA 11:45AM-12:30PM 4 Family Members $60 Youth Members $67 Community Participants $90
5 YOUTH & FAMILY Friday Night Out (Ages 6 Weeks-10 Years) Parents, are you looking for a chance to have a date night? Why scramble for a sitter when you can bring your kids to the YMCA for Friday Night Out! This event is a great way for your kids to have fun and make new friends through a variety of age-appropriate, themed activities. Pre-Registration is required at least 24 hours in advance, as space is limited. You must be 15 years old, have access to a computer & the internet, attend all classes, and be able to complete a physical fitness exam on the first day of the course.
