Orders are due Friday, November 15 th prior to 3PM. KINDERGARTEN: Will go on a field trip to the Wehr Nature Center on Thursday, November 14 th from 9:45-11:45AM. GRADE 1 & 2: Sing Sunday, November 17 th at 8:00AM. If your child is unable to attend please speak to your child s teacher as soon as possible. GRADE 6, 7, & 8: Will not be singing this Sunday, November 17 th. K GRADE 8/JUNIOR CHOIR: Sing on Thanksgiving Eve, November 27 th at 6:30PM. If your child is unable to attend please speak to your child s teacher. PRE-K GRADE 8 CHILDREN S CHRISTMAS SERVICES: The children will all be singing on Monday, December 23 rd at 6:30PM and Tuesday, December 24 th at 4:30PM. We expect that your child attend BOTH services. If this is not the case please speak with your child s teacher immediately. GRADE 6, 7, & 8: Each year at the Thanksgiving service on Wednesday night, we have a bake sale that benefits Camp Phillip. Please read the letter sent home today that explains the reason for the bake sale.
2 GRADE 8: Coming home today is a letter regarding the video for graduation. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE: This Saturday, November 16 th 9:00AM Karen Milazzo ~ Archer, Barnhardt, Gibbons, Granberg, Lesser, Roedel. All welcome to attend! Hope to see you there. GALA COMMITTEE: There is a meeting following the PTO Meeting on Thursday, November 14 th. GIRLS A TEAM BASKETBALL: Congratulations to the Girls A Team consolation win at the Shoreland Tip Off Tournament this weekend. The girls beat St. John s Burlington 32 to 28 in the consolation championship game. Thanks to all who came out to cheer on the girls this weekend, we appreciate the support. BOYS A TEAM BASKETBALL: Congratulations to the Boys A Team for their 2 nd place finish at the Shoreland Tip Off Tournament this weekend. Thanks to all who came out to cheer on the boys this weekend, we appreciate the support. 2 nd QUARTER MISSION: Our second quarter mission offerings will support Calvary Academy Ministries. Calvary Academy offers Christ-centered assistance to families who are faced with children who are experiencing behavioral difficulties. These difficulties may include abuse, truancy, delinquency, and low self-esteem. Hurting families are offered Christ-centered academic programs, counseling, and Christian character training. Please use the envelope attached to each week s Monday Messenger to support Calvary Academy s mission! ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT: December 8, :00-7:30pm. Women (7 th grade & up) welcome. An attachment of the flyer was sent by with the Monday Messenger. CHRISTMAS SPIRIT WEAR ORDER: Order forms will be sent home today for anyone who wants to place a Spirit Wear order in time for Christmas. Several sample items are hanging in the cabinets in the school lobby in front of the gym. Be sure to look at page 2 of the order form for all your logo options and be sure to mark which logo you want on what item. The deadline for this order is Friday, November 22. Please contact Debi Koeller (contact info listed on order form) with any questions. SCRIP: Orders are due tomorrow by 12:00 noon. If paying by check please have check to the scrip box by noon as well. We will be placing orders every week until 12/10, which will be the last order before Christmas. Please plan ahead for your Black Friday Shopping, regular holiday shopping and gift giving, and the paying of your Kohl's bills :)
3 BOX TOPS: Here are the totals for the 1 st contest of the year. The amount received from the classrooms was The total turned in including the bin in the hallway was st place was 3 rd & 4 th grade with 1123 (45 per student), 2 nd place was 4K with 1191 (44 per student), 3 rd place was 2 nd grade with 354 (39 per student). Keep turning them in! MARCUS TICKET FUNDRAISER: Began last week and goes through November 25th. Tickets are as follows: Platinum $8.50 Silver $6.50. Gift Cards are $10 and $25 and Certificates are $5, $10 and $25. Please see brochure for complete details. Each item carries a 15% profit, and will be split 50/50 into your scrip account. If you haven't signed up yet for scrip you still can at any time. For every two tickets sold a $3 snack voucher will be given. For sales over $300 you will earn two silver tickets and a snack voucher. If you would like to earn more than two free tickets, i.e. selling over $600 or $900 please turn in multiple order forms (you can make a photo copy of your blank original or pick up another one on the rack outside of the school office. We have to fax in the order forms over $300 to show proof in order to earn the free tickets. Please turn in ONE check made out to St. Paul's PTO with your completed order. Tickets will be ready for pick up in the school office by December 2nd in time for St. Nick. PRESCHOOL POWER HOUR: Preschool Power Hour Friday, November 15 th ; Friday December 6 th ; Friday, December 20 th. All children ages 0-4 with a caregiver are welcome! We meet in the gym from 10:45 11:45 AM and enjoy a Bible story and activities, music and instruments, and a craft and snack. We hope to see many of you there. GALA: We are looking for anyone willing to donate exterior paint to use for projects for the gala. Any color, any amount (leftovers). Please bring to the school office. GALA: The gala decorating committee is looking for wine corks. Please bring them to the school office between now and February 1 st. Thank you to everyone who is turning in wine corks! We can still use more so keep them coming! SCRIP: If you have not signed for scrip and would like to place an order go to to enroll. Our school code is: D6DC88D If you order and do not enroll or have a family account your rebate will go directly to the school. Families who are enrolled have the following options: 50% rebate to their family's tuition account, 50% cash back, or 50% charitable contribution to the school. We also have cards available in stock: Applebee's 25s, Chili's 25s, Cousins 10s, Subway 10s, Kwik Trip 100s and 25s, Noodles 10s, Olive Garden 25s, Panera 10s, Roundys 100s, Speedway 100s and 25s, Starbucks 10s. If you would like to purchase any of these cards see Jenni in the school office. She has an "In- Stock" order form in the office. Payment is required at the time of purchase and orders will benefit your account if you have one set up.
