2 WELCOME Thank you for choosing to compete in the Homecoming Tiger Rally Competition! Each year, we host a performance competition between student organizations where we feature a show compromised of dancing, skits, and lip synching. Tiger Rally gives your organizations a chance to present yourselves to the Pacific community as well as to potentially win $5 towards your club account. Your performance should be unique, showcase Pacific pride, and give you the opportunity to strut your stuff. We want to host a safe and fun event, so it is required to abide by the following rules as you prepare your performances. Please remember that the audience is your fellow students, children of all ages, parents, grandparents, professors, alumni and university administrators. Tiger Rally will be held on October, 17 at 8:pm in the Alex G. Spanos Center Any questions should be directed to asuopae@ pacific.edu.

3 REQUIREMENTS Rehearsal Space If you require rehearsal space, you must indicate this when you sign up to participate. A space will be assigned to your organization AFTER sign ups are completed. If you require space prior to October 6th, it will be based on limited availability. This is to ensure fair and equitable opportunity for all groups with respect, as you would want your group to be treated. Failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification. Music must be PG and appropriate (no obscene lyrics, if its bleeped on the radio/ network TV then it is NOT OKAY for the stage.) Music is not exclusive (other groups may use the same songs So be creative!). Offensive material and content will result in immediate disqualification and subject to review by Judicial Affairs. Dancing MUST be appropriate (Sexy will NOT score and will result in point deductions dependent on severity. Extremely inappropriate dancing will result in disqualification and removal from the stage). Costumes are encouraged, please make them appropriate for the audience (revealing too much skin may result in disqualification). Shoes worn on the basketball court (where the performances are to take place) must be non scuffing. Performers must wear shoes at all times. Seven-minute maximum time limit for your performance on/ off stage (going over the time limit will result in point deductions). Maximum of 35 people on the floor. You may have as many people as you wish to participate, but no more than 35 people can be on the floor at one time (with exception of the final bow). Participants in Lip Sync must be a Pacific student or recent alumni to be eligible to receive the $5 cash prize. Organizations must be in good standing in order to participate. Groups must submit a roster of participants and final edited music by 5pm on Monday, October 9, 17 to the ASuop Office, McCaffrey Center 2nd floor. Props Backdrops are allowed, with advance notice. Dimensions must not exceed 4 wide x high total. All props must be removed immediately following the conclusion of Tiger Rally. Failure to remove items immediately will result in loss of points or disqualify. Backlights and spotlights can be provided by request on the application. All music, costumes, choreography and props must be approved by the OSL and I. Violation of any Homecoming policy or Tiger Lore policy may result in individual and/or group discipline procedures.

4 REHEARSAL Mandatory Tiger Rally Orientation meeting will be held on Thursday, October 5th at 5 pm in DUC 2. Order of performance will be selected at this meeting. Failure to have a representative present will result in disqualification. Mandatory dress rehearsal, with all participants, in full costume will take place on Thursday, October 19th. If not in costume upon arrival and during the run through, groups will be disqualified and will not qualify to win any prizes in the Homecoming Tiger Rally Competition.
