11 Veteran #246 Bronx, NY Army Veteran 2/11/16 Beautiful day!!! Today I set off for an amazing day of charity work with Veteran #211 Ronnie & College Volunteer Vinny. We loaded up in the bitter cold to make sure Veteran #246 would be able to finally sleep in her new home with a bed to call her own. This move was so special since my Grandparents on both sides lived on Cruger Avenue same street she moved on. I lived here also until I was almost 3. It touched me heart, all aspects of our work make me feel blessed and so alive. The hotel furniture to me is meant to be as well. They come from an older family friend from Yorktown Frank Wortmann. Through his work with Allied Renovating Hotels; we were able to obtain gorgeous hotel donations from the Holiday Inn Express in Hauppauge, LI. (Floors of it) The furniture is all stamped "Made in the USA with either 10/00 or 11/00. Vinny passed away 10/26/2000 & his 21st Birthday would have been 11/5/2000. This is a symbolic gift and a hug from heaven. We're blessed Westy in East Northport has donated 6 months of space that allow us to continue receiving this bounty. It's huge! I feel like family there when I show up. Beautiful place and I highly recommend to all. Our Veteran wrote us a beautiful Thank you card and wanted everyone to know how truly blessed she feels. Here is her recent text. Thank you. It's all so beautiful. Thank you. Your heart is so big. One person makes a difference the vet who asked for help in the beginning and you for responding. Look at what you both have done. God really is a champion of souls because He Loves, We Love and or are the recipients of same. Hallelujah and thank you all so very much. Thank you Donors and Thank you Vinny & Ronnie for sharing today with me. We will have

I am thankful to be able to have the ability to support these Veterans and honored to do so. Bright and early at 7:30 am; I went to storage to meet one of the best Veteran case workers around Devonne McMorris. Devonne contacted me about a 91 year old WWII Veteran that was moving into his own home and needed our support. Of course I said yes, even with the walk yesterday and vacation tomorrow. Since this just came Thursday, Devonne was able to pick up all she could in her SUV to help him. He will get support with the bed Tuesday from his Agency. The hard issue for us on top of the procuring of furniture and delivery, is the balancing of distance, with limited time and expenses to run our services. Plus, my full time job. We do not normally travel to Middletown, NY. I knew when I got the referral from the VA and a Putnam support group, he really needed quick support. Once I found out he was 83 and disabled, I knew immediately we would make the trip. He needs us, and we all need to do whatever is possible to help our Veterans, more so our elderly and disabled. This Veteran is one of hundreds we have supported since June, 2013, 100% Volunteer. It truly was an all-around great day! Our crew met up at 8:30, and went to our 1st stop a WWII Veterans family donating. It worked out perfect, we were able to take his items and deliver direct to Middletown.

63 Veteran #322 Yonkers, NY Army, Post Vietnam Era Thank you so much Veterans Wayne & Ronnie for delivering furniture today to our Veteran in Yonkers, NY. This move was a 3rd floor walkup. Which alone is hard, factor in heat on top of it that makes it even more exhausting. All over the news you hear about what this candidate or that candidate will do to help Veterans. Social media posts cover my news feeds daily with the banter. It's frustrating, many Politicians use Veterans as a great talking point to keep themselves in office, missing the human factor behind the known military service. The struggles, scars and stories many have and the lack of resources that we help with. Our charity is very unique in our service furnishing homes throughout Westchester, Putnam, NYC. We are getting nonstop calls from Veterans, and I have to filter through it all, while working my full time job. To think these Veterans would have nothing without us, places a large level of responsibility and necessity in our work. It's a very difficult task, but the beauty in knowing you are making an actual difference is priceless. Our charity, 100% volunteer! I ask you to step up and support a group like ours that is struggling to furnish homes. We need help, more constant financial donations. #322 Veterans supported since June, 2013 knew they could count on us, and we came through. Every day I wake up feeling fortunate. Our 100% Volunteer organization is filled with the kindest, hardworking souls. This weekend we introduced 3 new members to our crew, and I always say, once you are on a move your hooked, its magic :) Today, we had the pleasure to meet an Army Reservist with the most beautiful spirit. 76 Veteran #330 Army Poughkeepsie, NY August 5, 2016 Live feed prep - Today, we served Veteran #330. An Army Veteran living in Poughkeepsie, NY, without a bed. I was joined by Marianne Oros, who works with Senator Murphy's Office and decided to volunteer It worked out great, being my last day of my staycation from DEP. I needed a copilot for this unexpected trip. The Veteran was in apartment without a bed. I thought on floor totally, but he was on a box spring only. Which is like being on the floor sadly. It was a nice trip to Poughkeepsie to help him. We put together the hotel bed frame with "Girl Power" and a call to Wayne to figure out the steps. It's not your average bed frame. :) Thank you to our donors and supporters - Donations - Bathroom/Kitchen Basket - Janet Hecken, Cortlandt Manor, NY Queen Bed - Holiday Inn Express, Hauppauge Long Island, Frank Wortmann Allied Group 2 Lamps - Wendy Kelly, Peekskill, NY Bedding/Pillows - David and Judy Trost - Yorktown Heights, NY Please support our work and make a tax deductible donation today - Now, I'm off to help # % Volunteer, 501c3

97 Veteran #359 - #360 Yonkers, NY October 25, 2016 Army & Navy Veteran Life is about perspective! When you can channel a deep hurt into a beautiful story, that to me is healing. Today, on the 16th Anniversary of my brothers passing. I received a beautiful gift from Heaven. One of the two Veterans today, was named Vincent. I had my referral sheets, but when speaking to social worker we always referred to Veterans by last name. It was amazing to hear him say proudly "My name is Vincent and show me the name stitched on his jacket" I told him wonderful. As I write this, I was even more special now that I reflect, because the Veterans were "Vincent and Charlie" now i'm crying happy tears. The connection just extra hit me, since my cousin Charlie that was like a brother to us passed away in The same year of my accident, absolutely meant to be that both Veterans were together today. My heart feels full of love. Thank you all for supporting My Brother Vinny. Thank you for allowing me to honor my special needs Brother, and honor and support our needy year round, day by day in his memory. 102 Veteran #367 - Army Yorktown Heights, NY 11/19/16 MBV Crew - New Recruits Joe & Katie, Maryellen Howard, Scott Fisher, Veteran #357 Michael & I. Veteran #367 was a special request for a resident in need from one of my Brother Vincent's former therapists. It always fills my heart with joy speaking with people that knew Vinny and cared for him. Since he was non verbal and reliant on special care, those that were blessed to know him shared a special bond with him connected by love. Our Veteran requested a love seat to make their home more comfortable. After meeting family, it has also been brought to light an urgent need to assist this family. A hospital bed that is fully functional with all motor capabilites operation. If anyone has one, please let me know asap. They current have one that does not work the best. Donation - Love seat - Kathleen Malara- Peekskill, NY Thank you for supporting our work and allowing us to respond quickly, to help Veterans and their families. It was a beautiful day, our new crew work amazingly well with the team. It was a pleasure to have them.

105 Veteran #370 -Marine Yonkers, NY 12/3/16 Montrose VA Veteran - Breaking Ground Support MBV Crew - Veteran #190 Wayne, Aaron Lopez, new recruit Mahopac Rotary member Donna Hansen Colucci and I. Live feedhttps://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid= &id= Our crew started extra early 7:45 am to head out to Yonkers to set up our Veteran. With a very busy schedule of Veterans coming up, I wanted to make sure he did not have to wait without furniture for too long. Thankfully, our crew was ready to start early and accommodate move. He moved 12/1; from Breaking Grounds a privately run Veteran housing facility on Montrose Grounds. The support requested from us was all home furnishings items and housewares. He qualified for a bed via an SSVF Grant organization that the VA coordinates with. Hopefully, they will come through with the bed soon. Our Veterans apartment was absolutely empty with only bags of clothing, pillows, sheets on the floor. After move, I contacted his caseworker and stressed the need for coordination and a rush on his bed. Temporarily he will push chairs together with Ottomans or I will send him an aerobed Monday. This is the hardest part, any support out of the VA takes forever and the guys that get a limited chance for a bed get stuck waiting. Thank you generous donors. This Veteran resides on the 4th floor of a walk up with no elevator. The new hotel furniture was the perfect size. Donations- Bathroom/Kitchen Basket- Janet Hecken, Cortlandt Manor, NY 2 Dressers, 2 Night Stands, 2 Easy Chairs and Ottomans, 2 Lamps - Hampton Inn Brookhaven, Farmingdale, NY - Andre - Allied Group & Frank Wortmann for coordination. Live feedhttps://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid= &id= After Veteran #370; we went back to storage and swapped crew members. Joe and Katie made the crew change with Donna Hansen Colucci from the Mahopac Rotary. Veteran #371, has been in his home for over a month. Once again our services are dependent on social workers outreach. If we don't know about the Veterans needs timely, we cannot help them. This Veteran came to us a few days before Thanksgiving. We already had Veterans on schedule and our hotel run pending. We were told he was obtaining his bed through SSVF. As of today, he still only had his air bed. Donations- Bathroom/Kitchen Basket- Janet Hecken, Cortlandt Manor, NY Love Seat - Mike Dykes- Yorktown Self Storage Donor Side Chair- 2 Dressers, 2 Night Stands, 1 Easy Chairs and Ottomans, Hampton Inn Brookhaven, Farmingdale, NY - Andre - Allied Group & Frank Wortmann for coordination. 107 Veteran #372 - Air Force Yonkers, NY 12/5/16 Montrose VA Veteran MBV Crew - Marianne Oros & I As an 100% Volunteer organization, it's beautiful to me to have a group of Volunteers willing to help at any moment. This morning before work, I had a Veteran picking up furniture from our storage with a box truck. On a rare occasion, the Montrose VA thanks to one amazing social worker coordinates a trucking service. (Our 8th truck they sent in 3.5 Years, majority due to her, last 6 months). The truck arrived and hour late and since I had to be at work. I called Marianne, she came to our storage and finished the support. Thank you :)))) Marianne. Donations- Bathroom Basket- Janet Hecken, Cortlandt Manor, NY. This Veteran said he received a care package from the Vietnam Veterans for kitchen already. 2 Frying Pans - Marianne Oros Mother's donation Sofa - Julie Geristein - Mt. 108 Veteran #373 - Marine Bronx, NY 12/7/16 Bronx VA Veteran MBV Crew - Marianne Oros & I (Paula) Once again Marianne Oros helped on a weekday move. This support allowed me to briefly stop by storage, start the Veteran support and get back to work. Support like this is vital to helping our services, our work is truly non stop. It's always a pleasure working with the Bronx VA. They will pick up Veterans in the morning prior to seeing me, come up for furniture and then deliver with Veteran. We work very well together and have had a very successful relationship together supporting our Veterans. Donations- Bathroom Basket/Kitchen Basket - Cortlandt Manor, NY. 2 Chairs - Angela Tatulli- Putnam Valley, NY 1 Queen Bed, 2 Dressers, 2 Night Stands, 1 Long Dresser, 1 Table, 1 Coffee Table, 1 Easy Chairs & Ottoman, 1 tall lamp, 2 short Lamps, Hampton Inn Brookhaven, Farmingdale, NY - Andre - Allied Group & Frank Wortmann for coordination. 1 painting, new Queen sheets, blanket- MBV general donation Please support our work and make a tax deductible donation today! #373 Veterans supported since June, % Volunteer organization #MyBrotherVinny #MBVHelpsVets #MBV #charity #nonprofit

109 Veteran #374 - Army Yonkers, NY 12/10/16 Montose VA Veteran MBV Crew - Mahopac Rotary Volunteers Donna Hansen Colucci and Tracey Walsh, Dawn Lupinacci, Joe Maryniak, Katie Mirantz, Veteran #190 Wayne Reese & I (Paula) Live feed - One thing I have learned is the ability to be flexible with our schedule. On many occasions we have to be able to change things around when Veterans have pick up issues. We had a 9 am Bronx Veteran scheduled to pick up and a Yonkers Veteran delivery after soon after. We had to swap our schedule and do the run early to accommodate a schedule change. Which worked out amazing since our 2nd Veteran ended up with a beautiful kitchen table. Our Yonkers Veteran also turned out to be a close family friends relative. It's amazing to me how life works out and our connections grow. Donations- Sofa Bathroom Basket/Kitchen Basket - Janet Hecken- Cortlandt Manor, NY. 1 Chair, New Blanket, New Queen Sheets - General MBV Donation 2 Dressers, 2 Night Stands, 1 Table, 1 Coffee Table, 2 short Lamps, Hampton Inn Brookhaven, Farmingdale, NY - Andre - Allied Group & Frank Wortmann for coordination. 1 set new Queen sheets, 1 blanket- MBV general donation Please support our work and make a tax deductible donation today!

110 Veteran #375 - Army Bronx, NY 12/10/16 Bronx VA Veteran MBV Crew - Joe Maryniak, Katie Mirantz, Veteran #190 Wayne Reese & I (Paula) Live feedhttps://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid= &id= A few weeks in the making, this set up was beautiful once our Veteran got support to pick up. Although, he gets Bronx VA medical, he was not part of the normal social worker pick ups. With his young son driving him up in a rented Uhaul truck. We gave him the super set up for the large 2 bedroom apartment he has. A Vietnam Veteran with the most beautiful smile was beaming with joy the entire time. 111 Veteran #376 - WWII Army New Windsor, NY 12/11/16 MBV Crew - Kenny Beck, Emily LaCava, Maryellen Howard, Ericka Tompkins, New Recruits Rita Teresa, Sean Rivers (Navy Veteran) and I (Paula) Last Monday 12/5; News 12 Westchester story aired a story about a WWII Veteran Sparky that needs support and has been selling Christmas Trees to get by - Ericka Tompkins my Dear friend reached out to me to tell me she was going to visit him the next day and see what we can do. After her visit, she told me about a need for new furniture and in home TLC. We went up today and had the opportunity to clean his entire home. Ericka Tompkins and Maryellen Howard did an amazing job taking over the role of the overhaul. Emily, Kenny, Rita and Sean went to the local store to purchase more items once we knew what additonal needs he had. While I was at the house I had the opportunity to speak with Carl his Caregiver, that became his primary support system since last year after News 12 ran a similar story about Sparky. It was beautiful to see everyone showing up to visit, purchase trees and bring him home cooked meals. Sadly, through after the Holidays this support tends to drop off just like it did this past year. Carl needs a network of helpers in his region or kind souls willing to travel from time to time to help him. We will coordinate and I will try to guide him through resources to make life easier. It made me happy to know someone stepped up in his community to take this role. Our MBV Crew traveled up with a sofa, bathroom/kitchen Basket, end table, blankets, tray of food and cleaning supplies. Once in we knew we could not change alot. Everything had to be put back in place and all items disposed of had to be cleared with Sparky. We were able to replace his twin bed mattress and all the bedding. He would not change sofas, but allowed us to put a sofa cover on the couch. He was given a deep cleaning and quality time with everyone. He loved the lunch from Yorktown Pizza and Pasta, the heater from Marianne Oros and expressed how much he loves visitors.

112 It was truly beautiful to meet the New York Riders a Veteran group that showed up to lend support and donate to Sparky. The beauty of seeing Veterans together helping one another is priceless. As Carl informs me of Sparkys needs I will inform all to help him with resources. He helps him pay his taxes and will see what he has after this holiday season to keep track. Keep Sparky in your thoughts and prayers. If you would like to lend him a hand or coordinate with Carl please let me know. Once the holidays end, please remember Sparky. I know we will

115 Veteran #382 - Marine Yonkers, NY Vietnam Era 12/18/16 MBV Crew - Veteran #190 Wayne, New Recruit Tom Shane and I (Paula) Live feed- Beautiful day! Our Vietnam Veteran had reached out to us on his own to give us the heads up to his move. Which was a tremendous help. We don't always get advanced notice and need time to book Vets on schedule. It was nice having our new recruit Tom Shane join us today. I'm feeling amazing, we have been fortunate to have so many new recruits join our 100% Volunteer family. I love seeing everyone work side by side helping one another. Veteran #382 actually become a new volunteer. Since he was not officially moved out of the VA, we offered to drop him off at the facility.
