1 Team Rosters How to Create a National Games Team Roster This document will show you how to set-up, create and most importantly properly designate your team roster name for the 2016 Na>onal Games. * Only the Regional Commissioner and Regional Registrar have the appropriate access rights in eayso to assign teams and create rosters. 1

2 Team Roster Designa>on It is very important that the proper naming nomenclature is used when crea>ng your team rosters, and player and coach ID cards. Create roster name (in all caps) as: NG16 [insert gender leker and age division] Example: Boys U10 team par7cipa7ng in the 2016 Games. Roster name would be designated as: NG16 BU10 Co-ed teams will play in the boys divisions. 2

3 First, log into Before we begin crea7ng our roster(s), we need to be sure we re working in the correct sepngs. Scroll over Preferences on the toolbar and select Region & MY. Next, be sure to select your correct Region #. My Membership Year should read: MY2015. Select Update at the bozom. 3

5 I. How to Move Players to the Na>onal Games Program 2. For Program From, select Primary. For Programs To, select Natl Games. 1. Scroll over Region on the toolbar, then over Player and select Programs. 3. Search for the Player using the search criteria, then select Search on the leb side. 4. Use the check mark column to select the player(s), then click on the single arrow to move them to the Na7onal Games program. They will appear on the right side. Moving players from Primary to Natl Games will NOT remove the player from the Primary program. 5

6 I. How to Move Players to the Na>onal Games Program (cont.) Need to remove a name that was incorrectly added? Using the X column, select the names that were accidentally added, then click on Delete to remove them. By clicking on delete, they have simply been removed from the Na7onal Games program. The system will not let you delete a player from the Region or Primary program. 6

7 II. Assign Jobs (Coaches, Team Parent) to Volunteers 1. Scroll over Region on the toolbar, then over Volunteer and select Manage Posi7ons. 2. Search for the volunteer by first/last name, or AYSO ID #. Click on Search. The name should then appear below. 3. If the volunteer does not already have the appropriate job listed, add it to the volunteer in either Job 1, 2, or 3, then select Done. 7

8 II. Assign Jobs (Coaches, Team Parent) to Volunteers (cont.) 4. Repeat the same Search and Job assignment procedure for the Team Parent, and select Done once completed. IMPORTANT: All teams will need to have a different person listed for: (1) Team Coach, (2) Asst. Coach and (3) a Team Parent. ALL three posi>ons must be filled. 8

9 III. Create Na>onal Games Team Roster Designa>on 1. Scroll over Region on the toolbar, then over Teams and select Create a Team. This is where the proper Team Roster Designa7on will be used. It is very important that the proper naming nomenclature is used when crea7ng your team rosters, and player and coach ID cards. Create roster name (in all caps) as: NG16 [insert gender leker and age division] For example, a U10 Boys teams would be designated as: NG16-BU10 9

10 III. Create Na>onal Games Team Roster Designa>on (cont.) 2. Enter the proper Team Roster Designa7on name here. You can also enter your team name (for example, Blue Thunder) and color. 3. Select the Age Division and Gender for your team, and select Natl Games for the Program. 4. Select the Team Coach, Team Asst. Coach, and Team Parent as assigned in Step 2. ALL 3 posi7ons MUST be filled, and by different people. Volunteer name(s) not appearing? Go back to Step 2: Assign Jobs to Volunteers. 5. Select any referees that your team will be bringing here, then select Submit to create your team once all appropriate fields are completed. 10

11 IV. Add Players to Team Roster 1. Scroll over Region on the toolbar, then over Teams and select Add/Move Players. 2. Under Program, select Natl Games. 3. On the leb side, select the Division you are working with, and leave Team as Unassigned to display all players without a team. 4. On the right side, choose the same Division, Gender, and Team for whom you are crea7ng the Natl Games roster. 5. Select the players you are adding to your roster by clicking on the check box. Next, use the single arrow to move the selected players to your Natl Games Team Roster. 11

12 IV. Add Players to Team Roster (cont.) 6. Once the players have been moved to the right side, you ll no7ce the top says, Player(s) moved successfully. These players have now been added to your Na7onal Games Team Roster. 12

13 1. Scroll over Reports on the toolbar, then click on Team. V. Prin>ng Your Roster 6. Select Generate Report. Make sure that your pop-up blocker is turned off in order to see/print your report. 2. Be sure your correct Sec7on, Area and Region have been selected here. 3. Select Membership Year: MY2015, and Programs: Natl Games. 4. Select all appropriate fields for the roster you are genera7ng. 5. Be sure to select Tournament Rosters for your Report Type, and PDF for your Report Format. 13

Submi]ng Your Roster Make sure your printed roster has the following elements: ü Title: Team Tournament Roster Report ü Program: Natl Games ü Team Roster: contains proper Na7onal Games Team Roster Designa7on ü Reg. Date Column This is an example of the Team Tournament Roster. Please print your roster, RC must sign and date the bo7om, and submit to the AYSO Na=onal Office.
