3 Dear RAGE Coaches: Pleasanton Rage Girls Soccer Club is proud to announce a working partnership with Na*onal Center for Safety Ini*a*ves through which we will engage in a comprehensive background screening program. Pleasanton Rage Girls Soccer Club has taken important steps to ensure the highest level of safety within our programs - for the youth par*cipants and also for you, who make the programs a success. One of these steps is the implementa*on of a standardized approach to background screening for our coaches through the Na*onal Center for Safety Ini*a*ves. This includes a comprehensive background screening using the Center s Check it Twice product and a simple Red Light/Green Light clearance report issued in accordance with the Recommended Guidelines published by the Na*onal Council of Youth Sports. This is part of a na*onal movement towards the standardiza*on of safety programs for youth- serving organiza*ons in this country. Pleasanton Rage Girls Soccer Club has worked with Na*onal Center for Safety Ini*a*ves to ensure that this process is convenient, secure and confiden*al. Simply go to hxp:// and click on Background Check Self Registra*on on the len side of the webpage. Complete three easy steps: Step 1: Enter Self Registra*on Number: Step 2: Enter Your Informa*on as Requested Step 3: Provide Legal Authoriza*on and Cer*fica*on Red Light/Green Light Results will be sent to Pleasanton Rage Girls Soccer Club. Na*onal Center for Safety Ini*a*ves will contact you directly if there are any ques*ons, problems or issues related to your specific informa*on. It is important when entering your name, you use your full legal name as wrixen on your birth cer*ficate or driver s license. Please also verify that your social security number was typed correctly. Using nicknames or failing to type a correct social security number may delay or invalidate your background check. 4 RAGE RULES AND GUIDELINES 2011 Rules and guidelines can be found online at the Rage website under Coaches Corner, Game Rules, and by Age Group. PLEASE follow these rules. The rules are meant to ensure that all girls are receiving the same fundamental instruc*on according to the Rage philosopy. Please DO NOT make a Coaches Agreement before each game to not follow the rules. All this will do is confuse the players.

5 UNIFORMS: EACH PLAYER WILL RECEIVE A FULL UNIFORM THAT INCLUDES: *1 PAIR OF SHORTS *2 JERSEYS (ORANGE HOME AND WHITE AWAY) *1 PAIR OF SOCKS Uniforms will be distributed to each Coach by his/her AGC approx. 2 weeks prior to start of Season. Players will keep her uniform aner season ends. BALLS Each Coach will receive 3 balls for the season. 1 game ball and 2 prac*ce balls. VOUCHERS All Star Sports will be giving each Coach a $25 voucher to be used for soccer equipment. They also have the order forms for banners.

6 COACHES PARENT MEETING RESPONSIBILITIES SHEET All Coaches should have a Parent Mee*ng prior to the start of the Season. At this mee*ng, the Coaches should introduce themselves, talk with the parents regarding prac*ces, uniform requirements (ie ball, shin guards, cleats), etc. You, as the Coach, are already taking on quite a commitment for 3 months, so please ask the parents to volunteer their *me as well. Each Coach should have a Parent Sign Up sheet for the following responsibili*es: - Snack Scheduler - Uniforms - Banner (orders banner and brings to games) - Picture Day - Parade - Pasta feed (mandatory 1 parent from each team) - Referees (mandatory for U9/U10) - Trophies - End of Season Party

7 InformaNon RAGE 2nd Annual Kick- A- Thon ALL RAGE COACHES WE Need YOU to: Distribute Flyers to Your Players ASAP Players must collect all the money and turn in to YOU by September 10 YOU MUST Turn in ALL MONEY and Sheets at the Event on September 17 (Picture Day) Mo*vate Your Team to Get Sponsors This Is a Team Event (hoping for 100% par*cipa*on for sponsors and par*cipa*on). Teams with 100% par*cipa*on will be entered into a raffle. Team that raises the most money will be awarded a PIZZA party!! YOU, the Coach, Will Be Par*cipa*ng HAVE FUN WITH THIS!! Important Dates: August- September 10: Players collect pledges Sept. 10: All pledge sheets and flat dona*ons are due to YOU Sept. 17: Kick- A- Thon!! at PMS aver Team Pictures. 8 RAGE/BUSC SOCCER PARADE This is an Annual Event the kicks off the start of our Season! All teams are asked to par*cipate. Teams are encouraged to dress up in their team name, and Rage will judge the teams and award prizes in the following categories: - Best Costume - Best Cheer - Most original - Best dressed Coach - Best Banner The Parade takes place downtown Pleasanton and starts at 7:30am. Please have your teams there no later than 7:00am There will be Rage volunteers there to guide you as to where your teams should stand and wait.

9 Pleasanton Rage 5th Annual Pasta Feed A2er a long day of games, let us cook you dinner! Pasta, salad, bread, and drinks will be served. And don t forget the RAFFLE! Date: Saturday, September 10, 2011 Time: 6:00-9:00 PM Where: Hart Middle School Cost: $5 per person; 3 and under free **Purchase your Tickets in Advance! Tickets will be sold prior to the event by team managers/parents and your AGC and a limited number of Bckets will be sold at the door. **Parade Costume winners will be awarded during the event! 11 RAGE ALL STAR GAMES U8- U12 Rage All Star games are at the end of the Season for those players whose coaches feel they deserve to play. Each Coach will be asked to provide 2 players from his/her team to play in these games. This event usually takes place the weekend aner the season ends, and is typically on Sunday star*ng with the younger age groups at 9. Each All Star player will receive an All Start t- shirt to wear during the game and to keep.
