This dumpster is for the collection of newspapers, magazines, telephone book, retail flyers and officetype-paper but absolutely NO cardboard or plastic. The proceeds from this dumpster is an ongoing fundraiser for the Dragon Boat Club who have rather large expenses each year for boat repair and upkeep, boat purchases, and race entry fees for which they train so hard to bring glory to Hawthorne. It is realized that it is so much easier to deposit your newspapers, etc. in your own personal recycle bin; however, it is hoped that more people will make the effort to take their newspapers and office-type-paper to the large dumpster to help the Dragon Boat Club. Library Hours: Monday-Friday 10:00-12:00 and 2:00-4:00 - Evenings Monday Wednesday Friday-6:30-8:30 - Weekends Saturday 10:00-12:00 Sunday 2:00-4:00 Toys for Tots: Boxes are in the Auditorium outside the Program office until December 14 th.
