3 Welcome to Manchester Anime & Gaming Con! We return to Manchester with an awesome event lined up for you! We have an amazing lineup of stage events and parties, roleplay and board gaming, video gaming and more! Of course let's not forget our Anime Cafe courtesy of Arcadia Maid Cafe which shall show anime & Asian movies from Crunchyroll & MVM Entertainment. Expect a wide range of anime merch, DVDs & more, as well as some of the UK's best artists present. We will also have top talks on everything from gaming to anime to cosplay and comics! We continue to be the home of UK Cosplay, with some of the best UK cosplayers guesting at the event. The convention is filled with several hours of cosplay content from talks, panels and contests, with the cosplay stage and cosplay zones bought to you by Cosplay Connect! We also encourage you to participate in our Sunday cosplay masquerade with the winner receiving a 100 cash prize! There'll also be many more prizes on both days for the cosplay contests with a prize pool of over 1,000 bought to you by sponsors Xcoser. But let's not forget the Gaming Tournaments! Fame will be assured to each winner as they go up on the MAGC Hall of Fame and a pair of tickets to the next Manchester Anime & Gaming Con (Or to Liverpool Anime & Gaming Con in August). The Event takes place in two buildings the Sugden Sports Centre and the Bread Shed (Flour and Flagon) across the road. Go there for the second stage events and TCG/RPG/Boardgaming during the day and parties at night. In the event of an issue please don t hesitate to call The Registrations Desk is also the help desk to go to if you have problems. Main Stage Event Signups Take place next to each relevant stage (there will be a signups desk) Printed Conbadge or a T-Shirt, are available to buy or collect at the AL Merchandise Desk which is next door to the registration desk. Stage Event Participation If you're in an stage event, please report in to the stage desk half an hour BEFORE hand to be briefed/sorted. Clan Badges Make sure to pick up your free clanbadge from the registrations desk! Luggage can be left at registrations at 1 an item 8pm Onward Is 18+ Only for the evening parties.

Stage 2 (Music, Panels and Party Stage) - Located directly across the road from the entrance. This will feature panels, music, karaoke and parties later on. TCGing, Board Games & RPGs (Midday to Late) This year we have the entire bar as opposed to just the function room. If you go through the doors on the left from the second stage room you'll arrive into the Tabletop area. This includes a variety of board games to check out and a wide variety of drop-in RPGs to participate in. There will also be TCG tournaments throughout

7 Saturday Highlights Cosplay Talks - Throughout the event you can get hands on and learn new skills to improve your craft from some of the UK s best cosplayers. This includes Prop Making, Beginners Guide to Cosplay, Cosplay Confidence, Makeup guide and much more. There'll also be several cosplay skits as well. Martial Arts Demo (11am) Circle Martial Arts will be bringing a variety of demonstrations as well as a Q&A to the event. Make sure to check them out. Cosplay Auction (4:30pm)- A great way to meet new people with proceeds going to the convention s charity (Epilepsy Action). All volunteers go up for bid to the audience, the highest bidder of each Cosplayer winning the company of that Cosplayer for an agreed amount of time and getting the pleasure and opportunity of meeting new people and acquiring new friends. Big Geek Quiz (4pm) - Who will be the King of the Geeks? Test your geek knowledge in the big geek quiz. Featuring rounds on both anime, gaming and music as well as some general knowledge. The winning team will win 50! GS 1.0 Live Band (6pm) - GS 1.0 are an English band dedicated to celebrating the world of gaming and anime. They express themselves through songs and videos writing original compositions and arranging cover music. From Pokemon love songs to Anime Character songs and Gaming situations, GS 1.0 have it all your passions covered. Karaoke with Arcadia Maid Cafe (6pm) Arcadia will be running a special Karaoke contest. So step up, you could win some prizes! Road to Alcon Late Night Panel (8pm) Come join our special 1hr late night panel that will include a variety of guests and audience members. We will look toward Alcon 2018, our main four day party event of the year at the end of August geared toward an 18+ audience. The panel will feature games and general drinking fun. Big Geek Party Night (9pm) DJ Anime Andre will be bringing you all the tunes as we round with an epic Saturday night! Free glowsticks and fun all around, make sure not to miss out!

9 Sunday Highlights Lightsabre Combat Academy Q&A (11am) - LudoSport are the only international Academy for competitive Lightsabre combat. Come along and learn how to get involved! Lip-Sync Battle (1pm) Come join the lip-sync battle and show us your moves to your favourite songs on stage. A pick from the goodie box for the winner/s. Cosplay Blind Date (2:30pm) We will be picking volunteers from the audience to participate in Cosplay Blind Date! We match make on stage your favourite characters tune in for a lotta laughs and maybe even some love! Cosplay Masquerade (3pm) - Enter our cosplay contest for fun and showcase your beautiful creations for a chance to win our prize of 100 in cash, even more in sponsored items from xcoser and to compete in the UK Cosplay Championships Finals in London! Talent Show (4pm) Forget X-Factor or The Voice. AnimeLeague s Got Talent is where it is at! Can you sing or dance? Perhaps you have a more unique talent. Whatever it is, enter and show it off! You could be the next big thing, with previous winners now regular performers at the convention. The winner gets a 50 prize! Jollyboat Live, (2pm & 4pm)- Award Winning Comedians Jollyboat will perform with a mixture of comedy, live music and pirates! Top songs are about classic games, D&D, pirates and Game of Thrones! Make sure to also check out the Big Geek Adventure on earlier! Clan Battle Showdown (5pm) - You have been earning points for your chosen clan all weekend. With over 300 points up for grabs in this event, this showdown is the decider in who will emerge victorious! Come along and help them win the war! The Kut Live Band (6pm) - Inspired by bands like Nirvana, this girl trio have played at the 2012 Olympics, were voted 3rd in MTVs best unsigned band, have performed sets for Kerrang!, Klub, done 14+ dates on the Club Criminal Tour, been playlisted on cable tv channels and much more! Glowstick Rave Party (9pm) - It's the final party of the con, make sure not to miss this as we break out the glowsticks, play all your favourite tunes and see off the event in style!

10 The Clan Battle You can pick a free conbadge from the AL Merchandise Desk (next to the registrations desk) to wear signifying which clan you're in (ask for one at the registrations desk). You can then earn points for them over the convention to help them towards victory! Clan Points & The Scoring System You can earn points for your clan by (a) winning a tournament or event, (b) staffing for the event or (c) special events. When you win an event or tournament, you will be handed stickers with points on them. You take these stickers and stick them on to the clan of your choice's tally chart at registrations. You can also go here to see which clan is winning. - Small events such as TCG tournaments give 15 points to 1st, 10 points to 2nd and 5 points to 3rd. - Medium events which are on stage such as Dub That Anime and the big VG tournaments give 30 points to 1st, 20 points to 2nd and 10 points to 3rd. - Large events such as the Cosplay Masquerade, Big Geek Quiz, Talent Show and so forth give 45 points to 1st, 30 points to 2nd and 15 points to 3rd. - The Clan Battle event on the Sunday awards a massive bonus of 300 points to the winner of it and 150 points to 2nd place. Make sure not to miss this, it could make a big difference!
