January is usually when we reflect on past and contemplate change coming in the new year. I'm sure everyone has one big thing from the past they think about this time of year.

I was looking for change, and I know the only thing I'm sure of now is that "things change". We had things this past year that tested us in a big way.

2 January is usually when we reflect on past and contemplate change coming in the new year. I'm sure everyone has one big thing from the past they think about this time of year. As for me my first thought is how a Country Boy from rural Arkansas, everything he owned in a small bag, got off a bus in downtown Tampa 44 years ago this month. I was looking for change, and I know the only thing I'm sure of now is that "things change". We had things this past year that tested us in a big way. Hurricane Irma, the loss of Brothers, and sickness and distress among our members and their families, to name a few. But we also had good things like the outpouring of love and support to our members and community the likes of which some of us have never seen. There's a lot of love and good, good people in this Lodge. You should do your best to see that never changes my brothers and sisters. Remember we are a fraternity dedicated to carrying for young and old and making a difference in their lives. We must also continue to reach out to our members and community when in distress. The amount of time or resources each of us have to offer to our Lodge varies so it is important that we work together to increase membership, and keep our current members by being involved in the community and providing an atmosphere that attracts new members and keeps folks coming back. As we reflect back on 2017, let's remember all the good that came from Lodge 1903 and Chapter As for change in 2018, Oh They'll be some, but not " The Friendliest Place In Town ". Happy New Year friends... God bless Mooseheart Fraternally, Eddie Governor It's the start of a New Year, and I would like to send my best wishes to everyone in our Moose family. May you achieve all your goals in December was a very busy month! The ways and means battle between Lynn Hall and Betty Allen was a blast (except the Packers won)! Zephyrhills Moose Lodge included us in the Toys for Tot motorcycle stop, and what a wonderful bunch of women and men who came to our Lodge. The WOTM donated $ Our food drive was such a success, thanks everyone who donated. Almost 350 lbs. of food was donated altogether. Anita Hart-Paris and Mike Paris, thanks for all you did for the benefit for Laurie Landry. What a great turnout. The Joint Christmas Party was great! Thanks Tom and Randy for cooking a delicious steak dinner. The WOTM did a bake sale and what a wonderful turnout. See ya next year! Gibby Fletcher Senior Regent 2

LODGE 1903 FUN DAY EVENT February 3rd Folks if you haven't had a chance to set foot on the beautiful property owned by The Lodge on North Highway 41 now is your opportunity. Come have a good time and test your shooting and throwing skills while getting a feel for what could be our new home someday. Event is open to all members, men, women, and bring out the youngsters. Starts at 10 A.M. After the fun plan on joining us back at the lodge for sloppy joes which is included in your event donation of only 5 dollars. Folks this is an event designed to introduce you to our beautiful piece of land, have fun, friendship, and say thank you for your support. Proceeds go to Moose charities. December 15th was our fundraiser for Laurie Landry and my 20th year anniversary for Taking Time To Smell The Roses. It started out a little rough; our Moose lodge was robbed early that morning. But these thieves did not get the best of us. We all pulled together and made the day a huge success. I told Laurie that if her medications just work half as powerful as the friendship power that s in this lodge she will be 100% cured. INTERNATIONAL KARAOKE COMPITITION Once again it is time to get your vocal cords warmed up for this year's International karaoke contest. I have enlisted the help of last year's Lodge and District winner, Ashley Mae to help run the contest here at the lodge. Jack and I have been talking and I think he will DJ for us. We are working on date and times so bear with us. Land O Lakes has had a contestant make it to the state level two of the three years the contest has existed. Let's do it again!!!!! Out Lodge is truly a special one because it has a member that is the Richest person in the world. That person is me. I m rich with Friends, Family and Love. Those are the things that make land O lakes truly special.! Thank-You All again and Remember to take the time to Smell the Roses because life is too short not to!
