1 Kahakai ali i P r i n c i p a l s m e s s a g e Dear Parents, Guardians and Students, As we near the end of another school year I would like to thank all of you for your support and dedication to our school and students. To our teachers, no one knows more than I how hard you work, or the countless hours you devote to your students and their academic success. You are worth your weight in gold. Thank you for all you do. I would like to give a special mahalo to our staff who are retiring this year. Thank you for your years of dedicated service to our students and community. You truly make a difference in the lives of children; Ms. Sharon Murakami, Ms. Tracy Foyle, Ms. Christine O Gorman, Ms. Rosanne Shank, and Ms. Selene Kim. To our parents and guardians, without your unwavering support, our students would surly fail. As I have often said, strong parental support is critical for a child s success in school. Please accept my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for all you do for your child. As for our students, please continue to demonstrate the respect and dedication you have shown all year towards your parents, teachers and school. You are truly a remarkable community of learners, valuable members of the Kahakai community, and keys to our Island s future. Also, please remember to read this summer, be safe, and for those returning to us in August, fired up and ready to learn. For our fifth graders, good luck in your future work, and remember that you will always be welcome here at Kahakai. Sincerely, James Denight ALOHA KEIKI RUN Saturday, June 17, 2017 Remember to come out and SUPPORT KAHAKAI.
