1 14Dius CORNER ODS ooi)nf NEWSLETTER OF THE CENTRAL OHIO DAFFODIL SOCIETY Vol. XXXIV NO 3 July 2004 Betty Kealiher, President Tag Bourne, Editor NEWSLETTER OF THE CENTRAL OHIO DAFFODIL SOCIETY Vol. XXXIV NO 3 JulY 2004 Betty Kealiher, President Tag Bourne, Editor Dear Daffodil Friends: Dear Daffodil Friends: PRESIDENT'S LETTER What started out as a very wet spring is turning into a very lovely summer. This makes for large and lots of daffodil bulbs. Be sure to share your extra bulbs with friends and spread the 'yellow fever'. I'm sorry to inform you of the death of Jody Scribner, our vice president. Jody came through open heart surgery and was expecting to be dismissed from the hospital when she took a turn. Jody was 50. Our sympathy goes to her children: William, Kaitlyn and Sara. Although I wasn't able to attend the ADS convention in Washington this spring, several of our members did. There is a review elsewhere in CODS Corner. I understand that the entries were many and outstanding. Two beds at Whetstone Park have been dug with the help of the strong backs of Dave Hess and Hube Bourne. Many, many thanks. The digging was easy because of the great soil condition and the weeding which was done by Helen Meeker. I enjoyed the article in the last CODS Corner sent by Christopher Maslon. Thanks Christopher - we miss you - come home. Our Regional Vice President, Phyllis Hess, will be sending you a newsletter to let you know when and where the regional meeting will be held. She has planned a great program with an outstanding speaker. Please plan to attend. Hope you all have a wonderful summer. See you at the Regional Meeting;.
