Kimberly sports a fashionable accessory belt, zipped boots, and fitted slacks. Kimberly is also a new addition to the YLA Crew. She is very fashionable and smart, as well as focused, on her academic studies. She excels in school and is active in extra-curricular activities. Because she is so focused, she sometimes appears aloof or otherwise indifferent to the YLA Crew members, which sometimes causes tension. She also earns the positive attention of Ms. Simmons. She is 15 years old, and a member of multiple ethnic groups (she is of mixed heritage, including African-Caribbean- American and Caucasian backgrounds?). She is one of the Crew s teachers at school, and a contemporary of Grandma. She runs the school talent show and other extra-curricular activities, and mentors students in the arts and fashion design. She has a don t mess with me demeanor, but a heart of gold, and will do anything to help her students get where they need to be, provided that they share her self-discipline.
