Site Preparation (Things to Consider) Before any tree kit is installed it is always recommended to use a CAT scanner to the required depth to check for buried services. Personal Protection Equipment At Green-tech we strongly recommend that before you install any type of below ground system that the proper safety equipment is worn. Installation Method 1. Drive the Anchor into the ground to full depth in three positions using the hand-held drive rod or petrol breaker.

Load the anchors using the Anchor Loading Hook or the Anchor Loading Jack. 3. Attachment height and guy length must be considered. 4.

Ensure the wire stop is engaged into the clip. 5. Using the free end of the guy wire, thread the wire through the Ratchet Wheel.

With a short tail of guy wire (about 50mm) protruding through the ratchet, wind the Ratchet Wheel with ratchet tensioner tool to tighten the guy. 7.

3 Installation Method 1. Drive the Anchor into the ground to full depth in three positions using the hand-held drive rod or petrol breaker. They should be equally spaced around the tree and at the required angle to the trunk (45-60 ). 2. Load the anchors using the Anchor Loading Hook or the Anchor Loading Jack. 3. Attachment height and guy length must be considered. 4. Using the guying wire, pass the bark protector around the tree (as per Fig: 3) and connect to the tree collar clip forming a loop. Ensure the wire stop is engaged into the clip. 5. Using the free end of the guy wire, thread the wire through the Ratchet Wheel. Pull the slack wire through and cut off the excess. 6. With a short tail of guy wire (about 50mm) protruding through the ratchet, wind the Ratchet Wheel with ratchet tensioner tool to tighten the guy. 7. Tuck the tail of the guy under the first few windings to prevent it pulling out and to stop it fouling the Ratchet Bar. Ratchet each guy a little in turn until all three are equally tight. 8. Check that the Ratchet Bar is fully engaged with the Ratchet Wheel teeth on each guy to guarantee correct tension is maintained. Remove and dispose of all waste wire. Fig: 1 Fig: 2 Fig: 3
