Talomo Proper (Central Park Gym), Brgy., Brgy. Ma-a, Brgy. Matina Pangi, and Brgy. Matina Aplaya Families who opted to stay with their friends and relatives houses in safe areas were also provided with relief assistance 85 families/300 persons were evacuated at Tanglaw National High School and Day Care Center in Braulio E. Dujali, Davao del Norte. Six (6) families affected by the landslide incident are seeking shelter with their neighbors in safer areas 2. COST OF ASSISTANCE A total of PhP3,181, worth of relief assistance was provided for the flashflood victims in Davao City, from the combined resources of DSWD FO-XI (PHP2,665,000.00) composed of 3,500 food packs, hot meals, and financial assistance to the bereaved families, DOH (PhP92,000.00), LGUs (PhP100,000.00), and NGOs and other GOs (PhP324,650.00) b. ACTIONS TAKEN NATIONAL NDRRMC Executive Director USEC. Benito T. Ramos visited the affected areas to assess the actual situation. USEC Ramos also had a meeting with Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte then immediately conducted an aerial survey to the affected areas together with the Eastern Mindanao Command NDRRMC extended financial assistance to the bereaved families/relatives worth Php10, per dead victim DSWD released PhP5.33 Million to DSWD Field Office XI (DSWD FO XI) to augment emergency relief assistance to the affected areas (items such as sardines, meatloaf, noodles, full-cream milk powder, empty sacks, and rice) DSWD submitted to Financial Management Service for additional request for sub-allotment of P7 Million to DSWD FO XI for the purchase of relief commodities for augmentation assistance to affected LGU. A Php300, replenishment for regular standby funds is on process Philippine Red Cross (PRC) provided food assistance to 7,390 persons, deployed EMTs, established First Aid Stations, conducted health assessment, medical mission and vaccination, and assisted in the conduct of Search and Rescue (SAR) operations REGIONAL Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council XI (RDRRMC XI) Operations Center coordinated with Eastern Mindanao Command through the Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao and 5053 rd SRS, Philippine 5
6 Coast Guard, PNP XI Maritime, Davao Firefighters and Rescue Services to assist in the rescue and evacuation of affected families The AFP particularly the Task Force Davao, Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao, TOG PAF, and 5053 rd SRS assisted in the conduct of Search and Rescue (SAR) and clearing operations in the affected areas DSWD FO XI provided family food packs to the affected families, conducted Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), deployed Social Workers to all evacuation centers and funeral parlors, and coordinated with their local counterparts and closely monitoring the incident. The FO has stockpile of relief commodities composed of 2,563 family food packs (PhP633,753.01), and food (PhP4,817,334.60) ready for augmentation to the local government unit DOH XI provided assorted drugs and medicines worth PhP92, and conducted health assessment and monitoring in the evacuation centers Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) coordinated with Central 911 USAR, Task Force Davao, Disaster Action and Rescue Team, Habagat Base and VEST Bago Aplaya to conduct rescue operations City Engineer s Office, Task Force Davao, Davao City Police Office and other disaster volunteer groups conducted clearing operations of roads Davao City Risk Reduction and Management Council is conducting Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (DANA) CSSDO distributed relief goods to the affected families amounting to PhP70, Massive relief operations conducted by the City Government of Davao headed by CSSDO PDRRMC Davao del Norte deployed rescuers at the affected areas in coordination with the Philippine National Police and the RDR SMART in Brgy Tanglaw PDRRMC Davao del Norte extended initial relief assistance t the affected families in the evacuation centers and continued assessing other immediate needs of victims 6
