1 Senior All Star Bowling Association Volume 14, Issue 27 OUT ON THE TWIG GLASS & PAINE WIN Bob Glass captured the Ebonite Senior Tour, Bob Summerville Memorial Senior Division Tournament at Don Carter City View in Fort Worth. This event was sponsored by Dexter Shoes. Glass defeated Mike Lynch in the best two of three game matches 2-0. Lynch was second, Henry Gonzalez and Roger West were tied for third. Jim Paine bested Tom Hay 2-0 to win the Super Senior Division. Fred Barnes and Jerry Beavers were tied for third. As time passes things always change. In today s bowling game the lanes can be dressed with the same program, and they seem to always be a little different. The new balls tear up the oil, and they leave particles on the lane. We bowlers need to be on our toes as each tournament progresses and be able to adapt to this changing bowling environment. Gary Dickinson is making progress feeling better every day. Ronnie Diamond is going to make an appearance at Plano this week. 4 JUST CRUISING.. What a good time we did have! I believe I could get used to cruising everything done for me: delicious food available 24/7 and I didn t have to cook any of it, planned entertainment day and night, plenty of fresh towels that I didn t have to wash or dry, my bed made up each day with fresh linens, my bed turned down at night (I really miss that chocolate on my pillow), and those little towel critters on my bed it was a dream come true. Thank you Jamie and Peggy for coming up with this idea! Our PJ Party hosted by Karen Zapitelli was just great. Eighteen Red Hatters and four guests showed up at 9:30 on Monday morning at the Romeo and Juliet Lounge bent on having a good time. Only Red Hatters could get away with parading into the coffee shop for pastries and coffee in their pajamas. I daresay some of our fellow cruisers are still talking about those women running around in purple and lavender pjs. One elderly man was heard asking his wife if it was legal? I guess it was no one got arrested. We played the clothes pin game and tattoo tag. I never knew it was so hard to keep from crossing your legs and Sondra Counts wil never put a tattoo there again! I think Gayle Currie won the clothes pin game it was such a riot, I m not sure; and once again, the door prize (a beautiful Red Hat purse) was won by someone too young to carry it Sondra Counts. Next time Gayle Currie packs for a cruise, she will need an extra suitcase for her underwear. Gayle received about twenty pairs of red panties, beginning Sunday night at dinner, presented at various times and in various ways throughout the cruise. I personally will never forget the sight of Dave Soutar wearing a red string bikini over his trousers, modeling his gift for Gayle. Even people who didn t know the SASBA group got involved by giving Gayle panties. They just wanted to get in on the fun. If you want the story behind this, you must ask Gayle. On Saturday evening at the SASBA Cocktail Party, your Queenie was privileged to present a tribute to Peggy and Jamie and the SASBA Family. I think it went pretty well even if I did keep getting my feet tangled up in the microphone cord! Sunday came too soon. Ole! Ole! Queenie Jeanne THIS WOULD BE A GREAT CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR SOMEONE!
