ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS Members are reminded that their subscriptions are due without notice on 1st January, and those who do not pay by direct debit are asked to ensure prompt payment of the correct amount. Any Member whose subscription has not been paid in full by 1st March will be required to pay a surcharge of 25% of the amount outstanding at that date. MEMBERSHIP PASSES This booklet is not a Membership Pass. Passes are issued annually, before the start of the cricket season, and must be signed immediately on receipt. (Unsigned Passes are not valid.) Passes are strictly for Members personal use and are not transferable. Any breach of this regulation will be regarded by the Committee as a serious abuse of membership privileges and appropriate action will be taken accordingly. Any Membership Pass which does not contain a photograph of the Member concerned has been retained in the Membership Office for personal collection. On collection of the Pass, a photograph must be produced, together with a 10 administration charge, which has been set by the Committee. With effect from 1st April 2011, there has been a charge of 8 for each duplicate Pass issued. This charge, which is to cover administration costs, was introduced by the Committee following an increase in the number of requests from Members who had lost or mislaid their Passes. MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES A Full or Associate Member who wishes to be placed in any category of membership, other than Inner Town membership, must make a written application to the Chief Executive & Secretary before the commencement of a calendar year, the application to be in respect of such calendar year and may, with the exception of applications for the category of School Staff membership, be for subsequent calendar years also. A Member who fails to make such an application in respect of a calendar year shall be treated as an Inner Town Member for that calendar year. If a Member has already previously applied and been accepted into a different category of membership, he or she will remain in that category unless his or her circumstances subsequently change. The requirement for School Staff Members to confirm their continued eligibility for that category on an annual basis still applies. 8

CHANGE OF ADDRESS In accordance with M.C.C. Rule 3.18, Members changes of address are to be notified in writing as they occur. The Club accepts no liability for the consequences of correspondence going astray owing to an incorrect address. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday, 4th May Full details of the 2016 A.G.M. will be sent with the Annual Report. CANDIDATES FOR MEMBERSHIP In accordance with Regulation 3i, a Full or Senior Member may act as Proposer, Seconder or Sponsor for only one Candidate in any calendar year, provided that: (a) if a Playing Member, he or she has completed two years membership (i.e. elected before 30th September 2014); or (b) if a Non-Playing Member, he or she has completed five years membership (i.e. elected before 30th September 2011). Probationary Cricket Candidates Candidates with strong cricketing qualifications may apply to be included in the list of Probationary Cricket Candidates. Applicants must be between 16 and 40 years of age, and their names must be entered in the Candidates Book by 30th September, at the latest, of the year preceding that in which they wish to play, in order to be considered for inclusion on the list for the following season. If accepted for the list, they will be asked to play in such number of qualifying matches as the Committee may decide, and if their performances are satisfactory their election to the Club may be brought forward. Candidates for Out-Match Membership Candidates for Out-Match membership must be between 16 and 40 years of age, and applications must be returned by 30th September at the latest for consideration to be given for the Candidate s inclusion in the following year s list of Probationary Cricket Candidates. Candidates for Out-Match membership must play cricket to a good club 1st XI standard. If accepted for the list, they will be asked to play in such number of qualifying matches as the M.C.C. Committee may decide, and if their performances are satisfactory their election to the Club may be brought forward. 9

An Out-Match Candidate may apply, at any time, for his or her name to be transferred on to the list of Candidates for Full membership, subject to the payment of the balance of the Registration Fee applicable to ordinary Candidates at the date of such application. If the Candidate fails to qualify as an Out-Match Member and has not, in the meantime, opted to transfer to the list of Candidates awaiting Full membership, his or her candidature will be cancelled. Furthermore, if a Candidate for Out-Match membership does not wish his or her name to also be placed on to the ordinary Candidates waiting list, he or she will be ineligible for Associate membership. In the event of being elected as an Out-Match Member, the Candidate would be required to play regularly for the Club, or suffer the possibility of having his or her membership withdrawn. Endorsement of Candidates All Candidates must be endorsed by one of the following: a current member of the M.C.C. Committee; a current member of another committee; or a current Area Representative appointed by the M.C.C. Committee to assist in the organisation of Out-Match cricket. The M.C.C. Committee also reserves the right to appoint additional Endorsers within the British Isles and overseas. Endorsers may propose, second, sponsor or endorse an unlimited number of Candidates in any calendar year. M.C.C. will seek confirmation from the Endorser that he or she is willing to act in this capacity. After the process has been completed, each Candidate will be notified in writing of his or her entry in the Club s Candidates Book. RECIPROCAL ARRANGEMENTS AT OVERSEAS GROUNDS The Committee has organised reciprocal arrangements with 11 overseas clubs Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Lahore Gymkhana, Hong Kong, Singapore, The Cricket Club of India, Western Province Cricket Club and Abu Dhabi Cricket Club. In addition, the Committee has approved reciprocal arrangements with the following clubs (which are not cricket clubs): the Pretoria Country Club, the Kelvin Grove Club (Cape Town), the Durban Club and the Rand Club (Johannesburg). Full Members paying short visits overseas may make use of certain facilities at those clubs on production of the appropriate card of introduction, which is available from the M.C.C. Membership Office. Full information should be obtained, prior to travel, from the M.C.C. Membership Office ( or membership@mcc.org.uk). 10

MEMBERS FRIENDS ENCLOSURES Because of redevelopment work, the Warner Stand will not be available for the England v. Sri Lanka Investec Test Match, for the first three days of which the Grand Stand (Lower Tier) will be designated as part of the Members Friends Enclosures. In addition, for the Middlesex v. Sussex and Middlesex v. Somerset NatWest T20 Blast matches, should the demand for Rover Tickets be sufficient, the sections of the Grand Stand (Lower Tier) which are nearest to the Warner Stand would be designated as part of the Members Friends Enclosures. Members and guests will able to use the seating areas of the Warner Stand on the following occasions: the England v. Pakistan Investec Test Match; the Middlesex v. Surrey and Middlesex v. Essex NatWest T20 Blast matches; the England v Pakistan Royal London One-Day International; and the Royal London One-Day Cup Final. This information was correct at the time of this booklet going to print. ROVER TICKETS MAJOR MATCHES In accordance with regulation 3d, for major matches Members may introduce guests into the Members Friends Enclosures by means of Tickets which must be purchased in advance. Tickets for Reserved Seats in the Members Friends Enclosures At the 2009 Annual General Meeting, Members agreed that certain sections of the Members Friends Enclosures would be made available as reserved seating on selected major match days on a permanent basis. In order to sit in the reserved section on such days, Members must purchase a ticket for themselves, as well as for their guests with whom they must sit. The days on which such reservations will be in operation during the 2016 season are as follows: England v. Sri Lanka Test Match (First Day) Thursday, 9th June England v. Sri Lanka Test Match (Second Day) Friday, 10th June England v. Pakistan Test Match (Second Day) Friday, 15th July England v. Pakistan Test Match (Third Day) Saturday, 16th July England v. Pakistan Royal London ODI Saturday, 27th August 11

Rover Tickets for Unreserved Seats in the Members Friends Enclosures Members may introduce guests into the unreserved sections on all major match days by means of Rover Tickets purchased in advance. Members will be admitted to the unreserved sections of the Members Friends Enclosures on production of their membership passes. Pavilion Admission Tickets for NatWest T20 Blast Matches For NatWest T20 Blast matches in 2016, Members will be permitted to introduce into the Pavilion one guest, over the age of 12 years, who must be in possession of a Pavilion Admission Ticket. There will be a set number of such Pavilion Admission Tickets available for each NatWest T20 Blast match, which will also admit to the Members Friends Enclosures. Senior and Associate Members In 2016, Senior and Associate Members may purchase Rover Tickets for the following days: England v. Sri Lanka Test Match (Third Day) Saturday, 11th June (Maximum of 2 tickets) England v. Sri Lanka Test Match (Fourth Day) Sunday, 12th June (Maximum of 2 tickets) Middlesex v. 17 MISUSE OF TICKETS In recent years, the Committee has received reports of Rover Tickets being sold by unauthorised ticket agents, and by individuals on the pavement outside the Ground. Each case has been investigated separately, and the Committee has taken disciplinary action against Members found responsible. The Committee is certain that all Members would support such action being taken, since the purchase of tickets for the Members Friends Enclosures is considered to be a very important privilege of membership. Tickets for the Members Friends Enclosures are solely for use by Members, their relatives and personal friends, and the Committee insists that Members ensure that the Tickets allocated to themselves and their guests are regarded as strictly non-transferable, in order to safeguard Members privileges. MEMBERS QUEUES ON MAJOR MATCH DAYS Queuing arrangements for Associate and Senior Members At its September 2015 meeting, the Membership and General Purposes committee agreed that, on the major match days when Associate and Senior Members are entitled to free admission to the Ground, Pavilion and Members Friends Enclosures, they will not be entitled to stand in the unaccompanied Members queues at the Grace and North Gates. With effect from the 2016 season, those queues will be for Full Members only. Associate and Senior Members will therefore be required to wait in the Members and Friends queue. Queue-Card Trial In response to comments made by Members regarding queuing arrangements, in particular, the unfair practice of queue-jumping, a trial took place in the unaccompanied Members queues at the Grace and North Gates during the England v. Australia One-Day International in Each Member was provided with a Queue Card, corresponding to their respective place in the queue, which was given up to one of the Club s staff upon entry to the Ground. Under this arrangement, a Member without a Queue Card shall not be admitted to Lord s until all Members with Queue Cards have entered. It was generally felt that the trial was successful and well received by the vast majority of Members. The committee has therefore agreed for the system to operate during the Test Matches and One-Day International in

17 DISABLED MEMBERS AND FRIENDS Disabled Members change of policy If wishing to use the Pavilion, a disabled Member would receive a complimentary ticket for one companion. If wishing to use the Members Friends Enclosures, a disabled Member would receive a complimentary ticket for one companion. If wishing to use one of the Wheelchair Areas, a disabled Member would receive a complimentary ticket for one companion. If wishing to sit in the Public Stands, a Member would be treated the same as a member of the public. Reserved Seats in the Tavern Stand for Disabled Members and Rover Ticket Holders A small section is reserved in the Tavern Stand (Lower Tier) on major match days for disabled Members and Rover Ticket holders who are not wheelchair users. (This area will be used during the 2016 cricket season, as the section of the Warner Stand which was used in previous years will not be available because of redevelopment work.) Space is limited, and Members wishing to use the area are asked to give at least one month s advance notice, in writing, to the Club Facilities Department of the number of people in their party, once the appropriate Rover Tickets have been purchased. Warner Stand Wheelchair Area There is an area in front of the Warner Stand for spectators who watch cricket whilst sitting in wheelchairs, and their companions. Early application to use this area is strongly advised and should be made to the Ticket Office. Lavatories for disabled spectators are situated in the Mound and Grand Stands, and at the North Clock Tower building. Temporary lavatories will be installed behind the Tavern Stand. Ball-by-Ball Commentaries Members and other visitors who are blind and partially-sighted can receive B.B.C. commentary for international and county matches through headsets and receivers, which are available free-of-charge from the Head Steward s Office.

In addition, for the following matches, live ball-by-ball commentary for blind and partially-sighted Members and visitors will be provided by M.C.C. s volunteer commentators: Inter-Services Twenty20 Tournament (Thursday, 19th May) M.C.C. Universities Challenge Final (Tuesday, 21st June) Eton v. Harrow (Saturday, 25th June) Oxford v. Cambridge (Friday, 1st July) M.C.C. v. Nepal (Tuesday, 19th July) Davidstow National Village Cup Final (Sunday, 4th September) M.C.C. Schools v. E.S.C.A. (Tuesday, 6th September) The commentary for the above matches is also available worldwide on the Lord s website: SPECIAL FACILITIES FOR ELDERLY MEMBERS RESERVED SEATS ON THE PAVILION CONCOURSE Members who are over 75 years of age, and were elected more than 30 years ago, are entitled to apply for a reserved seat on the concourse in front of the Pavilion on major match days in Applications for reserved seats must be made in writing to the Club Facilities Department. Such applications have been accepted since October 2015, and will continue to be dealt with on a first-comefirst-served basis so long as seats remain available. The number of seats available on any day is limited to 200. It is inevitable that the scheme will continue to be oversubscribed in respect of the more popular major match days, and early application is therefore advised. Reserved seats, if unoccupied, will be released 30 minutes after the scheduled start of play. When this booklet went to print, all reserved seats on the Pavilion Concourse had been allocated in respect of the First Day of the England v. Pakistan Investec Test Match. There is a waiting list for Members who have been unsuccessful in their applications for that day, and if cancellations are received, the seats will be re-allocated to those on the list. 18

For the Pavilion, the following arrangements will apply: Pavilion (inside) All Areas No smoking Pavilion (Concourse and balconies) Concourse No smoking in approximately 90% of seats Middle Balcony No smoking Upper Balcony No smoking in approximately 90% of seats Roof Terrace No smoking Turrets No smoking Smoking is prohibited inside the Pavilion and all other buildings in the Ground, whether permanent or temporary structures; in all shops; offices and workshops; in all dressing rooms; washrooms and lavatories; in all boxes and marquees; and on all staircases.
