MOVING BETWEEN THE LEVELS In theory, there is no limit as to how many levels a gymnast may move up. But she should only move up if she has achieved a reasonable score at the level she is at. When a Gymnast enters this structure, at a suitable Level, she may never move back a level - i.e. if a Gymnast enters Level 4 in the All-Around Championships, she must continue to compete at Level 4 or higher in the All-Around Championships (subject to the rules below). Only Gymnasts that have never competed in the past can compete in Level 1A In Level 1A, 1B & 1C o A Gymnast may only ever compete at Level 1A for one year and therefore must move up a Level the following year. o In Level 1B & 1C all Medal winners at National Finals must move up a Level the following year (i.e. all members of a medal winning Team must move up a level the following year). Gymnasts who have competed in Level 2 previously may not enter the 2A competition, however, they may enter Level 2B & 2C. In Level s 2-5 National All-Around Championships:- o All Medal winners at National Finals must move up a Level the following year. In Level 2-5 Individual Apparatus Championships:- o All Medal Winners at National Finals must move up a Level the following year with the exception of the following:- A Gymnast may stay at the same Level the following year but will not be eligible to compete on the Apparatus in which she meddled on the previous year (i.e. A Gymnast wins a Bronze medal on Vault in 2016 in Level she wishes to remain in Level 5, which she is allowed to do, however, as she won a medal on Vault the previous year, she may only enter Level 5 on A-Bars, Beam & Floor Competitions i.e. she may not enter Vault in 2017 as she won a medal on Vault in 2016 Gymnasts may compete in different Level s in each of the competitions i.e. A gymnast may compete in Level 3 All-Around Championships and may compete in Level 4 Apparatus Championships. If your gymnast is an Apparatus Specialist she could end up in a higher Level in the Individual Apparatus Championships in 15

comparison with the All-Around Championships. However, the Level at which a gymnast competes at in Apparatus Championship must be equal to, or higher than the Level she competes in, in the All-Around i.e. a gymnast cannot do Level 4 in the All-Around Competition and then do Level 3 in the Apparatus after. However, if a gymnast competes on all 4 apparatus in the Apparatus competition, she must then compete in at least the same Level in the All-around the following year. LEVELS 6 9 As above except; A Gymnast who has medalled two years in a row on an Apparatus MUST move up to the next Level the following year or not compete that particular apparatus if they wish to stay at that level on the other apparatus. 3 PLUS - 9 PLUS All National Squad members MUST compete in the Plus Levels Pathway and NOT in the General Levels. Gymnasts must have received an average score of 10.00pts on each apparatus to move up a level. (i.e.; For 5 apparatus the allaround score should be or higher). For this year, Gymnasts who have competed in the General Levels 2 6 may transfer to the PLUS 3-5 Levels at a level the coach deems suitable. If a Gymnast competes at Level 3 PLUS this year and wishes to move back to the General Levels next year, she may re-enter the General Levels at Level 5 or higher. If a Gymnast competes at Level 4 PLUS this year and wishes to move back to the General Levels next year, she may re-enter the General Levels at Level 6 or higher. If a Gymnast competes at Level 5 PLUS this year and wishes to move back to the General Levels next year, she may re-enter the General Levels at Level 7 or higher 16

If a Gymnast competes at Level 6 PLUS this year and wishes to move back to the General Levels next year, she may re-enter the General Levels at Level 8 or higher. If a Gymnast competes at Level 7 PLUS this year and wishes to move back to the General Levels next year, she may re-enter the General Levels at Level 9 or higher. If a Gymnast has competed at Level 7 in the General Levels she can enter the PLUS Levels at 5 PLUS or higher. If a Gymnast has competed at Level 8 in the General Levels she can enter the PLUS Levels at 6 PLUS or higher. If a Gymnast has competed at Level 9 in the General Levels she can enter the PLUS Levels at 7 PLUS or higher. Any gymnast that has competed in a FIG level competition and scored less than 40.00, may enter the PLUS levels at Level 6 PLUS Gymnast who have competed in FIG level & scored more than must enter the PLUS levels at Level 7 PLUS or higher. Gymnasts who have medalled two years in a row on an Apparatus MUST move up to the next Level the following year. All gymnasts must compete within their age group. i.e. you don t enter an Under 11 as an U-13 if there is an Under 11 age group in the competition The Intermediate Club teams Championships is open to gymnasts competing in Levels 6, 7, and 8 Once a gymnast competes in Intermediate teams she must compete in Level 6 or higher. A gymnast who competes at any FIG Competition or Trial, either as a Guest or competitor, must compete in the PLUS Levels. If a gymnast scores less than she may compete in Level 9 or 6 PLUS. 17

If a gymnast scores more than she must compete in Level 7 PLUS or higher and as a result she can no longer compete at Intermediate Teams If a gymnast competes in FIG National Apparatus Championships she may no longer compete in the General Levels Apparatus Competition but the gymnast will be allowed to compete in PLUS levels If she medals at FIG National Apparatus Championships, she can then only compete at Level 7 PLUS or higher in the PLUS Levels All around. If a Gymnast represents Ireland at an International Competition, she must compete in the PLUS Levels Structure. Gymnasts competing at Levels 9 & higher may also compete at National Team Championships (which is a FIG Competition), subject to the rules detailed above If she scores higher than at FIG Teams, she may no longer compete in Level 9 or 6 PLUS. 18

Level 10 OPEN AGE ALL-AROUND & TEAM COMPETITION Each Club may enter 1 Team with a maximum of 6 gymnasts on the Team.
