26 Item St. Laurent CE 1859, stampless cover from St. Laurent CE unpaid 7 to Lachine (b/s). Montreal transit (b/s). Very scarce Quebec postmark. $ SOLD Item Quebec to Rhode Island, US 1773, stampless folded letter (in French) from J. Marcoux to Samuel and William Vernon, datelined Quebec Aug 9, 1773 to Newport, RI U.States. The letter is endorsed by Captain Nathan Bull and carried by their shipping firm direct from Quebec to Newport Rhode Island. This company was a merchant shipping company between Newport, Rhode Island, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the mid- to late 1700s. Samuel Vernon ( ) and his wife, Elizabeth Fleet, lived in Newport, Rhode Island. Their eight children included Samuel ( ), Thomas ( ), and William ( ). Thomas, a merchant and royal postmaster, was a Loyalist during the American Revolution. Samuel and William, who both supported the Revolution, jointly ran a shipping firm. $750.00

Sherman" (between St. John, CE and Whitehall N.Y), this handstamp was in use from No postage shown. L.B. Ward letter enclosed. $500.00

29 I will be attending the National Postage Stamp and Coin Show - April 7, 2018 to April 8, Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale, 6750 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, ON, L5N 2L3 Presented by Canadian Stamp News and Canadian Coin News, the spring edition of the National Postage Stamp & Coin Show will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show will feature stamp and coin dealers from across Canada, who are selling, buying and appraising all kinds of philatelic and numismatic materials. Admission is only $3 on Saturday and FREE on Sunday. Parking is also free. Special room rate available at the hotel. Check out our website for show updates and list of dealers.
