2 About Caspar Being Danish and influenced by great Danish design and architecture all my life, I use this approach when I design golf courses. Designing with clean lines and an emphasis on function and beautiful aesthetics creates original golf courses, that stand out in the players mind and at the same time remain economical in construction and maintenance. I have been associated with Hawtree Ltd. for more than 15 years, and have been studying and working on some of the best courses in the world of golf. I have experience with all types of golf course projects, from upgrading low budget courses, to working with esteemed clients such as Ballybunion, Portmarnock, Lahinch, Royal Aberdeen and Donald Trump on his new links course in Scotland. My work has always been inspired by the classical British courses and adapted it the modern game. Working on several of the most revered classical courses in the world, as well as some of the lesser known courses, have given me a full and comprehensive understanding of what is needed for a golf course to excel and deliver unforgettable experiences to the players today and in the future. Through Golf Course Architecture by Caspar, I am now eager to serve my clients and create the classics of the future, refining courses already built and ensuring they realise their full potential. Being personally involved in all aspects of the design, I can guarantee that the quality is the highest possible; I can deliver projects that are on time and on budget, with the best possible design, and where the expectations of the clients are not only met, but surpassed. 3 The Work I have designed acclaimed new golf courses like Trump International in Scotland, Elisefarm and Vallda in Sweden - all courses, that have been highly successful and received high rankings in various golf magazines. Elisefarm and Vallda have both been seeded with fescue a grass which has a long heritage on golf courses. The result has been that the two courses have some of the best playing surfaces around and Elisefarm has become a case study for the R & A. The example presented by Elisefarm clearly demonstrates that, even in the modern age, there is still great benefit to be found from employing more traditional approaches to course management R & A Case Study With my work on Trump International Golf Links, Scotland as the lead architect for Hawtree Ltd. I was instrumental in creating a golf course, which continues to achieve tremendous recognition from the players and the rest of the golf world. The course has already been ranked in the top 10 in the UK and Ireland and playing it has been described, as close to a religious experience. Working on the Trump project has been a true joy. The site is second to none and the client has allowed Martin Hawtree and me to develop our thoughts and ideas on the ground. I think the result is a unique golf course - breath-taking in every aspect. He listens to ideas and gives professional and honest feedback on them. The feedback is always constructive and based on his strong experience combined with his relentless quest for the optimal playability and appearance of the course. 4 Existing Courses A large part of my work has been working with existing courses, where I have used my experience and craftsmanship to develop the courses and bring out their individual character. I have been working closely together with many clubs to create master-plans for the future of their courses. The master-plan establishes where the course is today and where it is heading in the future. The plan ensures that all changes being made are aimed at improving the course, and that no money is wasted on aborted work. The plan can usually be carried out in several phases at the club s desired pace. I have helped develop master-plans for clubs like Ballybunion GC, The Island GC, Zuid Limburgse G&CC and Falkenbergs GK. Many clubs have also used my services to help develop small parts of the course such as individual tees, bunkers and greens. I see it as an art form to significantly upgrade a hole and at the same time ensure that it is seamlessly integrated into the existing golf course. I enjoy working on all types of projects and experience real satisfaction in helping to develop courses, and allowing them to reach their full potential. Projects carried out on behalf of Hawtree Ltd: Ballybunion Golf Club Assisted Martin Hawtree(MGH) in developing a master-plan for the Cashen Course. Carried out an audit of the two courses. Designed and supervised construction of 3 new greens, tees and fairways on the Cashen Course. Designed and supervised construction on new tees, bunkers and paths on the Old Course. Beaconsfield Golf Club Assisted MGH with course report. Blokhus Golf Klub Designed and supervised construction of their 9 hole p&p course. Bokskogens Golf Klubb Made a report on the New Course and marked out new mowing lines. Båstad Golf Klubb Designed and supervised the construction of two new holes, one additional green and some fairway bunkers. Chichester Golf Club Made a report on the course and drew up plans for changing two holes. Co. Sligo Golf Club Assisted MGH with drawings for changes to the course. Dragør Golf Klub Supervised construction of their new 17th green. Drayton Park Golf Club Design and supervision of two new holes. Dulwich & Sydenham Hill Golf Club Made a report on the course. Elisefarm Golf Klubb Full design and supervision of 18 holes. Felixtowe Ferry Golf Club Made a report and designed and supervised construction of changes to two holes. Gilleleje Golf Klub Made a report on the course. Greve Golf Klub Full design and supervision of 18 holes. Hill Barn Golf Club Worked with the club on bunker redevelopment. Hjarbæk Fjord Golf Klub Made a report on the course. Hong Kong Golf Club Carried out an audit of the Eden and the Old Course.

6 Hunstanton Golf Club Assisted MGH with report and created a Masterplan for the course and carried out changes to several holes. Hørsholm Golf A/S Made a report and designed changes to four holes. John O Gaunt Golf Club Made a report on both courses. Kokkedal Golf Klub Prepared alternative layouts including extra land. Lahinch Golf Club Assisted Martin Hawtree in supervising construction during the last phase of the redevelopment of the Old Course. Advised the club on changes to the Castle Course. Mølleåens Golf Klub Designed and supervised construction of two new holes. Advised on safety aspects on the course. North Foreland Golf Club Assisted MGH with report on course. Portmarnock Golf Club Designed and supervised the construction of the new 1st green and changes to the fairway. Portmore Golf Park Designed and supervised the last 9 holes on the Barum Course. Royal Aberdeen Golf Club Supervision of construction of new bunkers and green surrounds as well as design and supervision of the new 15th green. Royal Birkdale Golf Club Assisted MGH with supervision in preparation for the 2008 Open. Royal Dublin Golf Club Assisted MGH in supervision of construction. Royal Kiev Golf Club Design of 27 holes, supervised 9 holes only 9 holes got completed. Royal Melbourne Golf Club Assisted MGH with audit of courses and drawings. Royal Waterloo Golf Club Redeveloped La Marache with new greens, bunkers and several new tees. Updated parts of the Lion Course including one new green. Rya Golfklubb Developed a masterplan for the course. Designed and supervised construction of 3 new holes. Simon s Golf Design and supervision of new 9 holes C Loop. Stratford on Avon Golf Club Designed and supervised the remodeling of all bunkers on the course.

7 The Island Golf Club Assisted MGH with creating a masterplan for the course. Developed detailed designs for 7 greens, tees and bunkers. Supervised construction of the changes. Toronto Golf Club Assisted MGH with audit and drawings for the changes as well as supervised part of the construction. Trump International Golf Links Scotland Prepared detailed designs for the course and was in charge of on-site supervision during the whole construction of the course. Vallda Golf & Country Club Full design and supervision of 18 holes. Yarra Yarra Golf Club Assisted MGH with audit and drawings for the changes as well as supervised construction of one hole. Zuid Limburgse Golf & Country Club Prepared a full report on the course and a masterplan. Carried out design and supervision of the first stage of the redevelopment of the course. Designed 2nd phase of redevelopment.
