NOTICE TO COMPETITORS This information supplements the card listing Local Rules and Conditions of Competition for the Champion of Champions. COMPETITION: The competition is 18 holes, stroke play to determine the winner. PLAYOFF: In the event of a tie after 18 holes, a playoff will begin immediately following the computation of scores for the final group. Please convene in the scoring area (near the Scoreboard if you are involved in the playoff. The playoff will be three holes [#10, 17 and 18] and will be played under the Rules governing stroke play. The cumulative score after the three holes will determine the winner. If there remains a tie at the end of the three holes, the players affected will immediately continue their playoff in hole-by-hole competition under the Rules governing stroke play until a winner is determined [Sudden Death]. The hole-by-hole competition will commence on Hole # 18 and then repeated if necessary until a winner is determined. SOD SEAM RULE: Through the green, seams of cut turf (not the turf itself are deemed to be ground under repair. However, interference by a seam with the player s stance is deemed not to be, of itself, interference under Rule If the ball lies in or touches the seam or the seam interferes with the area of intended swing, relief is available under Rule All seams within the cut turf area are considered the same seam.

2 TEMPORARY IMMOVABLE Obstructions [TIO's]: Leader Boards and the Scoring and Starting Tents are considered Temporary Immovable Obstructions [TIO]. Interference by a TIO occurs when (a the ball lies in front of and so close to the TIO that the TIO interferes with the player s stance or the area of his intended swing, or (b the ball lies in, on, under or behind the TIO so that any part of the TIO intervenes directly between the player s ball and the hole and is on his line of play; interference also exists if the ball lies within one club-length of a spot equidistant from the hole where such intervention would exist. A player may obtain relief from a TIO as follows: If the ball lies through the green, the point on the course nearest to where the ball lies must be determined that (a is not nearer the hole, (b avoids interference as defined in e and (c is not in a hazard or on a putting green. The player must lift the ball and drop it, without penalty, within one club-length of the point so determined on a part of the course that fulfils (a, (b and (c above. 4 Champion of Champions Golf Tournament September 27, 2018 Contestant Instructions [August 9, 2018] Welcome to the 2018 Champion of Champions golf tournament to be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 (rain day Friday, September 28 at. Club Champions from more than 100 Chicago Area golf and country clubs are invited to compete in a oneday, stroke play, 18-hole tournament with a play-off feature to decide the winner, if necessary. The current CDGA Mid-Am and Senior CM Champs are also invited. Spikeless Club: Metal spikes are not allowed at. Registration on Tournament Day: Upon arriving at, we ask that you please register in the Pro Shop. You will receive a tournament credential that will entitle you to a complimentary continental breakfast, fruit and drink on the course, and a BBQ lunch in our dining room. We are encouraging contestants to stay until the tournament is completed and enjoy the festivities. Friends and family of the contestants are encouraged to gallery. Lunch is complimentary for them as well. Locker Room: You will have full use of our locker room.

5 Tee-Off times: Tee times will begin at 8:00 a.m. with 10-minute intervals. Contestants will be paired in threesomes. Tee times may change slightly through Wednesday, September 26. If the change affects you, we will contact you by phone or . 6 2018 CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS Golf Tournament Thursday, September 27, 2018 Blake Johnson [Glen View Club] 2017 C of C Champ Club Champions from more than 100 Chicago Area golf and country clubs are invited to a one-day, 18 Hole, stroke play tournament to decide Chicagoland s Champion of Champions. The entry fee is $150 with all proceeds being committed to ensure the continuation of a first-class tournament.
