4 Inside the Industry Hello, The common term these days is. Winter is coming!!! We had such a long winter for 16/17 and short summer this doesn t seem quite possible? Right? Well except for all the tournaments, warm weather, employee no-shows, power outages, suggestion boxes and all the other quirks that keep us entrenched in this unique industry. As Summer winds down its time to start thinking about fall projects, putting the course to bed and winter maintenance. This time of year, also gives many of you some time to spend with your families and take a break from the usual adult daycare. This past summer we saw more capital purchases and projects which hopefully means that our industry is still moving in the right direction. Technological improvements seem to be driving market with equipment, irrigation systems, chemicals and many other cultural practice products. The ability to make our industry s facilities more efficient, effective and ultimately profitable are crucial in determining purchasing decisions. Our A models have now been in the market since 2015 and we are receiving great feedback. They give the superintendent/fleet manager the ability control the mow speed, turn speed, FOC, self-diagnostics, share common maintenance parts and service interval reminders. This leads to less damage to the equipment and better turf conditions that is improving the overall cost of operation. The A model mowers come in 9009A,8800A and 7400A for rotary options. The reel mowers are offered in the 8700A,7500A, 8000A ECUT Hybrid, 7500A ECUT Hybrid and the 7200A models. Another addition to our product line is our GPS Sprayer. This is built off our popular ProGator line in either a 200 or 300gal tank. We can accommodate any budget depending on the level of accuracy and data collection that you require. The addition of individual nozzle control, boom height sensors and auto-steer is another advantage when considering efficiency and consistent/precision applications. Advanced features include wireless data transfer and prescription management that can be partnered with other agronomic suppliers. We are continuing to add allied partner lines that are also adapting to the ever-changing demands and helping our customers stay on top of their market place.
