3 Extracts from Gents Information sheet Booking times and Guest Rates: Members can book 10 days ahead online or at Reception by phoning ( option 1). Members can book 14 days ahead for tee times for club ties which MUST be booked via Reception. Members can play with a maximum number of 3 guests. 15 per person April October 8 Nov March 15 per person April October: 8 Nov March Wee Course 5 per person April October/ 3.50 Nov March. tee times (April October) before 10.00am, between 12 noon and 1.30pm and after 3.30pm Monday to Friday and before 12 noon on Sundays are primarily reserved for members and guests only. tee times (April October) before 09.30am on Thursdays when Ladies medals are on and 12 noon on a Sunday are reserved for members. Members can play off either white or yellow tees. Wee Course there are no members only times. Saturdays Visitor bookings will be accepted from midday on the non-medal course, and from 2.00pm on the medal course, subject to fixture commitments and expectation of member bookings. Members Advanced Booking Scheme Members can book tee times, outwith the normal 10 day period, in advance. Full details are available from Reception. Three bookings per year maximum Minimum of 2 guests Normal members guests rate apply Fee to be paid at time of reservation and is non- refundable 1

4 Gents Match Play Competitions All ties must be played by the due date. No individual date extensions will be given for any reason except if authorised by the Competition Coordinator/Managing Secretary. The first name for each match is the challenger and is responsible for arranging the tie. Every effort should be made to arrange a mutually acceptable date to play. If a problem occurs please contact the Managing Secretary prior to the final date to be played. A minimum of 3 dates, over a 15 day period, must be given for ties with at least one date at a weekend. The first date given must be at least 7 days in advance. Ties not completed by the closing date will be automatically awarded to the non-challenger unless either player/team has previously contacted Managing Secretary. Pace of Play Slow play continues to plague the game of golf and we would urge all members to help alleviate this by playing at a good pace. It is a group s responsibility to keep up with the game in front and if these basic principles are achieved we should go some way towards tackling this problem. 2

Competitors can play in the Sunday or Thursday medal for the Four Qualifying Medals in order to qualify for the Club and Bronze Championships. Qualification for the Club & Bronze Championships will be based on the two best scratch scores, one from and one from. The eight best non-qualifiers for the Club and Bronze Championships are eligible to play for Sophie s Trophy on the basis of their two best nett scores, one from each course, in the qualifying rounds. Winter League will commence on the 2nd November Thereafter see notice board until the end of March. 3

6 Junior Section Junior Convenors Junior Captain 2017 Neil Wilkie & Mrs Morag McLaren Declan Gray Extracts from Junior Information sheet Coaching All coaching to be taken by the Club Professional s with sessions being held at the short game area at the club and the practice area beside the Wee Course unless otherwise stated by the Club Professional s. The sessions will be held weekly from April to October on: Saturday s 3-4pm Tuesday s pm, two weekly rotation (Squad Players Only). Wednesdays pm Winter Coaching will be held fortnightly between November and March on Saturday s between 1-2pm and 2-3pm. All lessons cost 2.50 per session and places should be booked through the Professional s Shop. It is important that once enrolled, the junior golfer makes every attempt to attend so that they can improve their golf and meet other junior members. The player should always telephone the Professional in advance if unable to attend a coaching session. Winter coaching and the Tuesday night coaching are free of charge. 4

7 Complimentary range balls Every junior member is entitled to 10 baskets of balls per week. All Squad players are entitled to 20 baskets per week. Range cards are supplied at the professional shop and will be updated with credits only if required. Please do not abuse this privilege. Handicap To obtain a handicap, junior golfers need to return three scorecards. A 9 hole handicap can be obtained by submitting 3 cards from 9 holes on the Wee Course. All 3 cards must be played over 18 holes. Scorecards are to be marked and signed by an adult member or a parent/guardian. Once all 3 cards are returned, you will be allocated a handicap. Please note the days for Medal play in the fixture card. Those with a handicap of 19 and over play the Wee Course. When those junior golfers with a handicap of 19 or above have submitted 3 gross scores of 80 shots or better on the Wee Course then they will qualify to play in medals on & thereafter with their handicap initially reset to 18. Supplementary scores are acceptable where a Junior plays with an adult member. 5

8 Competitors Cards in all competitions must be marked by a Fellow Competitor. The competitor is responsible for writing their current handicap on their card. Entries for all Gents Saturday competitions close at 2.00pm on the previous Thursday. Entries for all Ladies Thursday competitions close at 10.00am on the previous Tuesday Entries for all Ladies Sunday competitions close at 10.00am on the previous Thursday Entries in Black to be played on The Course Entries in Red to be played on The Course Entries in Green are Ladies Competitions and Events Entries in Blue are Junior Competitions and Events Sunday Medals - are open to Ladies & Gents every Sunday unless pre-arranged fixture.
