The Owners Premiums, a lucrative bonus! FROM 2013 STARTING JANUARY 2013, OWNERS PREMIUMS WILL BE CALCULATED AS FOLLOWS: 64% FOR 2, 3, AND 4-YEAR-OLDS 43% FOR 5-YEAR-OLDS AND UP Continuous growth of the overall prize money: Prize-money available in French races has risen regularly and continuously for over 15 years, for the benefit of owners and professionals. An additional 43 million are distributed in premiums to owners of horses that were bred in France or assimilated. Eligible horses earn such premiums on top of any prize-money (win or place) they collect in France whether they are trained in France or abroad. The assimilation scheme enables horses that were foaled abroad to become eligible, under certain conditions. Owners premiums for French-bred horses and assimilated consist in a percentage of the allocated prize-money received on top of the actual prizemoney in all flat races run in France.

It must have been identified before leaving France and stay in France until at least the 1 st of June of the following year. n If it is born abroad because its dam has been exported to be covered, the conditions are: Its dam has left France after the 15 th of December of the year preceding the birth.
