It is already half a century since Shetland pony fanatiques came together to learn more about this wonderful breed originating from the Shetland Isles and to respect the breed standard set in the United Kingdom. YEARS JUBILEE 23 rd & 24 th September 2017 Haras du Pin Stud Normandy France The French National Shetland Pony Society - Shetland Pony Breeders Group (AFPS- GEPS) are delighted to invite you to their Jubilee celebration in a historical setting dedicated to the horse, the National Stud du Pin in Normandy. Our mascot Shetti and our team welcome you for a weekend dedicated to the Shetland Pony. During the weekend, the French Percheron Championships will also take place. A great occasion to get to know this draught horse breed with amazing power and strength and an opportunity to view and compare one of the smallest breeds against one of the biggest. AGENDA Saturday 23 rd September 2017 All day long: in hand show JUNIOR sections (numbers 1 to 16) All day long: driving class (combined maniability), TACS (aptitude tests round a course) in-hand and ridden Evening: participants dinner Sunday 24 th September 2017 Morning: in hand show SENIOR sections (numbers 17 to 28) Afternoon: show and demonstration followed by the Supreme Jubilee Championship. 2 PROVISIONAL JUBILEE CHAMPIONSHIP PROGRAM Saturday 23 rd September (approximate timings) 8 AM 9.15 AM: participants should check in with the show secretary to signal their arrival and to leave their ponies passports and collect their numbers : Junior sections 1 to 8 - males and females from 1 to 3 years old : lunch break snacks available on site : Junior sections 9 to 16 - males and females from 1 to 3 years old 8 PM: Participants Dinner (reservation papers attached) Sunday 24th September (approximate timings) 8 AM 9 AM: participants should check in with the show secretary to signal their arrival and to leave their ponies passports and collect their numbers : Senior sections 17 to 28 males and females of 4 years and over, geldings of all ages : lunch break snacks available on site : show and demonstrations h : Special prizes and Supreme Championship All participants must stay on the site until after the Supreme Championship. REGISTRATION All pure bred Shetland ponies may take part in this AFPS- GEPS Jubilee Championship. No previous qualifications are necessary to enrol. Ponies should be entered in the correct class in accordance with their age, sex and height (see list of classes attached). Participation for the Progeny Prize: this prize is for the best family group, which can consist of: - A Sire or Dam accompanied by at least 2 of its progeny of 1 year old or more. - Three progeny from the same Sire or Dam, aged 1 year old or more (Sire/Dam present or not). Show Rules and Regulations: The usual AFPS-GEPS rules and regulations are applicable to the Jubilee. Each participant must be aware of these regulations (summary in English attached). Jubilee Champions & French Champions: This special edition Jubilee is the perfect occasion to invite breeders from other countries. For each Class, the title of Jubilee Champion will be awarded; also the title of Champion of France will be awarded to the best pony belonging to a French resident. Supreme titles are awarded irrespective of the nationality of the pony's owner. Monetary prizes: As with local shows in France, monetary prizes may be applicable for French registered 2 year old fillies and mares with a foal at foot. Details can be seen on 2 / 6

3 INFORMATION The Haras National du Pin is situated on the RD926, 180km west of Paris, 72km south of Caen, 40km north of Alencon and 15km east of Argentan. Access by motorway: A28 by 2 exits : Gace (n 16) then follow Exmes; or Chailloue (n 17) then follow Nonant-le-Pin, A88 by 2 exits : Argentan (n 13) then follow la direction Dreux ou Mortrée (n 15) then follow Medavy, Almeneches, La Cochere. GPS coordinates: longitude: 0,14 / latitude: 48,74 Participants arrival Participants may arrive on the site from Friday, or Saturday morning before 8.30 AM. Departures may be made after the end of the competition; at the latest Monday 25th before 10 AM. Stabling of ponies: Temporary stabling, including straw is available to rent and is close to the showing rings. Price; 30 for one night (Friday or Saturday)/ 74 for the Weekend. Hay is available, but must be ordered in advance and paid for on arrival: please confirm the number of ponies and days staying on the reservation form. Price approximately 1,50 for 10kg.
