Supplementary Stages (1) Any horse that is entered at the entry stage, but then drops out at the confirmation of entry stage, whether by design or by accident, can again be made eligible, if desired, by paying the supplementary fee for confirmation of entry and declaration to run fee by p.m. (Turkish Local Time) on August 28th. (2) Any horse that is not entered at the first entry stage, can be made eligible, by paying the supplementary fee for entry (the cost will be 10% of the value to the winners prize of the race) and declaration to run fee by p.m. (Turkish Local Time) on August 28th. All payments are due on the date shown above, and must be paid independently and on time. Please keep in mind that there are no forfeits. Who would like his horse to remain engaged in the race must not fail to pay the entry, confirmation of entry and declaration to run fees as instructed. Otherwise, your horse shall be regarded as not engaged in the race any more, and your payments shall not be refunded. Attention Individual application made by owners or trainers, cannot be accepted. Transportation Subsidies The Jockey Club of Turkey will make a subsidy of; Euros for THOROUGHBRED horses, Euros for PUREBRED ARABIAN horses non placed in first four. Horses that are not placed in the first four places, will receive the subsidy if they have travelled by plane. 2

7 General Conditions To be eligible for racing in International Races, all thoroughbreds must be registered in a Stud Book approved by The International Stud Book Committee (I.S.B.C.) and their entries must be sent from the Racing Authorities of Countries which have agreed with the Article 3 A (Clearances in Relation to Horses Racing Abroad) of the INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENT ON BREEDING, RACING AND WAGERING (2017). To be eligible for Racing, all Purebred Arabian Horses must be registered in a Stud Book approved by WAHO. Local Jockey Clubs/Racing Authorities are permitted to accept entries of the horses under their Jurisdiction. Payment of entry, confirmation of entry and declaration fees will be processed through the article 16 of INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENT ON BREEDING, RACING AND WAGERING (2017). Entry forms must be filled out, stamped and sent by the local Racing Authorities / Jockey Clubs. International Racing Bureau and Local Jockey Clubs /Racing Authorities are permitted to accept entries of the horses under their Jurisdiction. If they accept the entries, they would be responsible for entry, confirmation of entry and declaration fees. Individual applications made by owners or trainers, can not be accepted. It is compulsory that Riders must fill out the declaration form in Appendix 6 of the International Agreement before the race. Prizemoney will be paid in Euros. The number of starters is limited to 22 runners for International stanbul Trophy, International Topkap Trophy, International Bosphorus Cup, International Trakya (Thrace) Trophy and International Malazgirt Trophy. The International France Galop FRBC Anatolia Trophy, and International IFAHR Trophy are limited to 18 runners. If the number of contenders exceed the limit after the declaration date, it will be reduced to the limit through elimination by a committee formed by the Jockey Club of Turkey and the handicappers. The horses thus eliminated will be reimbursed with their declaration fee. Any or all contenders will be tested for prohibited substances, according to stewards decision. The following accessories are allowed: Blinkers, cheekpieces, earmuffs and tongue-tie and flair strip other special equipment. (Any other special equipment as blinkers, earmuffs until the start.) must be declared at declaration stage. No horse can be declared to run on two consecutive days. International Races are subject to Turkish Rules and Regulations. Therefore all participants in the Turkish International Races are subject to The Turkish Horseracing Rules and Regulations and take full responsibility for their compliance with Rules and Regulations. If any trainer can not be present during the International Races, he/she would assign their assistant trainer to act as a representative on behalf of him/her. It must be informed by Local Jockey Clubs and sent this approval to the fax number: All trainers or representative assistant trainers must be available before the races at saddling unit and after the races at doping unit. According to the 74 article of The Horseracing Bylaws, Stewards are authorised to send all racing horses (generally the first four) for doping inspection after the race. In case of the fact that the trainer or his representative fails to be present during the sampling stage despite the invitations, the procedure shall be completed by the members of the Committee only. But, in this case, the owner/trainer shall have no right to make an objection to the doping inspection results. Urine and blood samples will be taken for analysis from the horses in the presence of one authorized person of from both stewards committee and doping inspection committee, and also in the presence of horse owner or trainer or authorized assistant trainer. After obtaining the blood and urine sample from the horse, the bottles (for urine) or the tubes (for blood) will be sealed and witnessed by the committee and an official report will be signed by the members of committee (owner, or assignee, or trainer and veterinary). The sealed bottles or tubes will be delivered to authorized steward. If the horse is withdrawn from the doping inspection it will be regarded as a doping positive horse. Entry, Confirmation of Entry, Confirmation of Entry, Entry and Declaration fees are included in the winner s prizemoney. Only the horses born in Turkey are eligible to the Breeders Premium. Note: In case of engaging a Turkish Jockey, agreement is to be made directly with him. Deadlines For Submisson August 28 th, 2017 Monday RCN form (Please refer to; IAWBR APPENDIX 1-A Page 16) must be sent by Relevant pages of the horses passport copies, Performance sheet of the horse, in detail with the last 10 races and the international ratings. Any horse having run between the race date and the deadline of the document submission, must also be advised before the arrival horses to Turkey, A written authorisation from the owner / Racing Authority indicating who the relevant trainer is, Biographies of the owners, trainers and jockeys to be presented to the media, Racing colors (design of jacket, sleeves and cap) must be sent by , Clearance certificates (penalty status indicated) and licenses (validity period indicated) of the jockeys issued by the related jockey club/racing authority. Purebred Arabians must be certified that they are Waho registered and which at least four generations of parents identified 7

8 a) Owners and trainers are responsible for arranging the shipment of their own Horses including the customs formalities in their own countries. The Jockey Club of Turkey is responsible only to deal with the customs formalities at the Istanbul Customs Houses to and from Turkey. b) Horse owners and shipping agents are responsible for all of the import/export documentations. c) The Jockey Club of Turkey cannot be held responsible for any delay during the customs clearance at the customs houses of both Istanbul International Ataturk Airport and Istanbul International Sabiha Gokcen Airport; or, at any inland borders in Turkiye like Edirne/Ipsala border, Edirne/ Kapikule border and Artvin/Sarp border customs houses etc. all over Turkiye. d) In the case that a Horse is drawn from a race for compelling reasons without the owner, trainer, groom and other associates of the Horses direct or indirect involvement upon a veterinary/stewards report after the Horse arrives in the Veliefendi Racecourse, he/she still deserves the transportation subsidy mentioned above. However, in the case that a Horse is drawn from a race upon the owner s or trainer s own request after the arrival of the Horse in the Veliefendi Racecourse, no transportation subsidy shall be paid. e) Race Horses must depart from Istanbul latest one week after the race day. However, if a Horse arrives in Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse before the Declaration and is taken out of the race upon the decision of the Board of Handicappers due to the field size, the declaration fee is paid back to the owner/ trainer, but transportation subsidy is not paid, even if the horse traveled by plane. f) By making entry to any of the International Races on 2nd and 3rd September 2017 at the Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse, associates of the entering Shipping Rules Horse is regarded to have accepted these rules in advance. g) The Horses will be directly sent to the Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse after the clearance of the Horses from the Istanbul Customs Houses as soon as the customs formalities are finished at the Turkish air and land customs houses. Any responsibility shall not be accepted by the Jockey Club of Turkey, if the associates of the Horses (owner/groom/trainer) do not allow the vans to leave the airport for the Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse under the supervision of the Turkish vets and grooms with the written report showing the situation of the Horse at the time of delivery. h) The Jockey Club of Turkey accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage arising from the injuries or any kind of health problems during the transportation from the Turkish air and land customs houses until the Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse and vice versa all over Turkiye. All horses are handled at the owner s risk and unless otherwise informed, it is assumed that horses are fully insured by their owners. Documents required to be sent to JCT before the Temporary Importation of the Horses: a) The use of ATA Carnets is recommended in order to clear the Horses smoothly from the Istanbul customs houses and other customs houses all over Turkiye as soon as possible. b) Microchip numbers and passport numbers of horses must be ed to cemilc@tjk.org on the date of Entry of horses. Furthermore, the horses entrance and re-entry customs houses in Turkiye as well as the entrance date and reentry date of horses must be ed to cemilc@tjk.org on the Entry date of horses. Furthermore, passport copies of horses and Signalement Graphique / Outline Diagram of the horses must be also ed to cemilc@tjk.org on the Entry date of horses. After we get this information, our Club will apply to the Turkish Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock in order to get the temporary import permission document one week after the Entry date of horses which is the most important topic and document of this temporary importation and re-exportation, otherwise we will be unable to import/ re-export your valuable horses to/from Turkiye. c) The pages of Veterinary Health Certificates, ATA Carnets and Passports of Horses where mainly the name, amount and signalement graphique / outline diagram of the Horses are written must be faxed to or ed to cemilc@tjk.org on the Entry date of horses. All of the called documents originals must be accompanying along with the horses in order to be delivered to the responsible and authorised person of the Jockey Club of Turkey at the Turkish Customs Houses upon arrivals of the foreign race horses into Turkiye. To sum up, below information and documents are a must to be ed us to cemilc@tjk.org on the Entry date of horses for getting the temporary import permission document from the Turkish Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock: Passport numbers of horses, Microchip numbers of horses, Round trip (entrance and re-entry/reexportation) customs houses and dates of horses in Turkiye borders.
