JUST WIN - Just one win from twenty five starts but has run well on this surface in the past Although disappointing last time out (8) PLUTOCRACY was a close third behind Spotify and Best Fouad in a Class D race at Cagnes in January. A repeat of that performance today could be good enough today. (1) SKATERS WALTZ is more than capable in this company and must also be respected. (7) NEXT TEMPTATION and (3) MUNAASHID are next best. (8) PLUTOCRACY - (1) SKATERS WALTZ - (7) NEXT TEMPTATION - (3) MUNAASHID

He can make a winning debut here at the expense of (1) NIZAAL who is likely to be suited by the surface here today. (2) CLASSIC JOY and (6) ROCK OR BUST are next best. (5) RASHKE - (1) NIZAAL - (2) CLASSIC JOY - (6) ROCK OR BUST

Race 3 1. DARK AMERICAN - Arrives in good order after a fair sixth behind Time's Arrow here last time out in November. Unlikely threat at this level with a big weight on his reappearance 2. ON THE SEA - Won a Class E race at Deauville in early January and followed that up with a success in a similar contest at Cagnes before another good run there last month. Not ruled out 3. BROKLYN BABY - Easy Class E handicap winner at Cagnes in January and ran well there with a six pounds penalty there after that. Disappointing last time out 4. CARLTON CHOICE - Third behind Broklyn Baby in a Class E handicap at Cagnes in early January but a well beaten eight behind Creach Light in a similar contest there last month 5. Struggled in a Class 1 race here and three poor efforts in handicaps since then but respected off this mark 11. CRY BABY - Third of fifteen behind Sublissimo in a Class E handicap here early last month and a decent effort at Cagnes since then. Can be in the mix here today 12. KING OF SPADES - Three time winner in twenty nine races including here in January and runner up in two Class E handicaps here last month. Can be in the shake up for a place 13. VIEUX MOULIN - Off the mark in a claimer last Summer and a surprise winner of a Class E race on the turf at Cagnes last month. Might find a few too

good today 14. JUMPIN'JACK FLASH - Won two in a row last November including one here and made valiant bid in hat trick mission at Deauville in December. Poor effort at Bordeaux last month 15. MAGIC SONG - Finished third on the first four starts of six last year and got off the mark winning a Class E handicap here last month. Carries a 2.5 Kg penalty today 16. SONG OF LIFE - Ran below expectations in both of her starts here so far this year after winning a Class 2 race at Deauville in December. Needs to reproduce her best form (10) HIGHEST ROCKEUR has been disappointing in all three runs at Cagnes so far this year. He won a handicap at Deauville in October before finishing second here in November and back on a reasonable mark he gets a tentative vote today. (11) CRY BABY has put in two good efforts in handicaps recently and can go close here on a fair handicap mark. (2) ON THE SEA has been in good form so far this year and cannot be discounted. (5) DEGRISEMENT and (7) NUEE ARDENTE are next best. (10) HIGHEST ROCKEUR - (11) CRY BABY - (2) ON THE SEA - (5) DEGRISEMENT - (7) NUEE ARDENTE - (8) JEANNAJONH - (15) MAGIC SONG - (9) MAYTIME

Race 4 1. MON AMI L'ECOSSAIS - Won a Class 2 race at Deauville in January but faces better opposition here today 2. BEYOND MY DREAMS - Off the mark in a maiden on 15 January at the venue and runner up in a Class 2 race here last month 3. DRUMMORE - Winner on the turf here in October who has improved with each start. Could have a say 4. BEAU MASSAGOT - A good fourth in a Listed race here in November and won a Class 1 race at Cagnes in January. Place prospects 5. CORINTHIA KNIGHT - Impressive winner on the sand at Kempton and Newcastle this year. One for the short list 6. BATWAN - A creditable third behind Fastidious in a Class 1 race at Cagnes last month. Tougher test today 7. TECKWIN - Confirmed early promise when winning a Class 1 race at Deauville in November. More required today 8. Respected on reappearance Runner up in a Group Three race on the sand at Kempton last September (5) CORINTHIA KNIGHT has started 2018 in excellent form with comfortable wins at Newcastle and Kempton. He can make a winning French debut today. (11) HERGAME has not run since last July but has decent form in good company and cannot be discounted. (8) GHERYAF and (3) DRUMMORE are next best. (5) CORINTHIA KNIGHT - (11) HERGAME - (8) GHERYAF - (3) DRUMMORE

Race 5 1. GHABNAH - By Equiano and will be the first foal to run out of a dam that was unraced 2. FASHION REBEL - By Cockney Rebel and is the first foal to run out of a dam that was a maiden after fourteen starts 3. GOT TO BE THERE - By Orpen and is the third foal to run out of a dam that has produced one winner 4. MALAKEH - By Harbour Watch and is a half sister to Di Stefano who was Listed placed in the UK 5. PRINCESSEDESCHAMPS - By Dabirsim and is the third foal to run out of a dam that has yet to produce a winner 9. LUNCH LADY - By Shamardal and is a half sister to the multiple Group One winner Solow Out of a dam that was Group Three and Listed placed (9) LUNCH LADY is a half sister to the multiple Group One winner Solow. She has some big race engagements and will be expected to make a winning debut here today. (5) LA JOCONDE comes from a top yard and looks the main danger here to the selection. (6) OGADINE and (7) SOHO INSPIRATION can make the frame. (9) LUNCH LADY - (5) LA JOCONDE - (6) OGADINE - (7) SOHO INSPIRATION

Race 6 1. FASTIDIOUS - Has won two of his ten including last time in good style at Cagnes and must go close 2. LEONIO - Won two from three late last season in Milan and should not be underestimated 3. FORZA CAPITANO - One win from his five outings but this looks far too difficult today. Outsider 4. DIAMOND VENDOME - Won once last year from three runs and two honourable runs in good class events this term 5. GOLD EARTH - Won on debut last season but did not come forward on only subsequent start 6. OVER REACTED - One win from her five runs and basically needs to produce more this time 7. PENNY LUZ - One win from seven last year but those runs are still a bit short for this company 8. ABSOLUTE CITY - Won three of her four runs last season including here on the last of those. Every chance 9. PARIGOTE - One win from eight which came here two starts back but this is a different prospect (8) ABSOLUTE CITY just absolutely has to be the bet here for punters. She won three of her four starts last season and in here final outing saw off the game (1) FASTIDIOUS in a Listed event and a similar scenario is likely here too. Both are good types. (4) DIAMOND VENDOME and (2) LEONIO can also gain some black type. (8) ABSOLUTE CITY - (1) FASTIDIOUS - (4) DIAMOND VENDOME - (2) LEONIO

Race 7 1. POULFOS - One win from sixteen runs which was three starts back but poor here last time 2. RIVER PLATE - Has been in excellent form in her last four starts and must go very well indeed 3. ITERATIF - Former triple winner from nineteen runs but not in best of form arriving here 4. DANDY PLACE - A four time winner from twenty including a Pau claimer last time out so in form 5. CORVILLE - Is zero from thirteen but has been placed on several occasions so might surprise 6. COMBLOT - Placed in five of his eight runs but surely one of the bigger outsiders here 7. LUCCHESIO - Has had half a dozen runs finishing second twice but then failing to finish in the other four 8. BLUESACHA ROSETGRI - Won her first two starts last May but not so good here on hat trick bid the following month. Not seen since 9. OSPECTOR - Placed in half of his six runs but not one to really considered for this 10. GIGI TRIO - A dual winner from eighteen and has been showing up well in four starts this term 11. MAGICAL FOREST - Thrice a winner from eighteen and did it well at Lyon- La-Soie last time out. Every chance This contest looks real good for (11) MAGICAL FOREST to back up a what was a hard fought but ultimately comfortable successlast time out at Lyon-La-Soie. She looks well capable of taking this in her stride before going back to handicaps. (10) GIGI TRIO is another who is bang in form and should be thereabouts along with (8) BLUESACHA ROSETGRI and (2) RIVER PLATE. (11) MAGICAL FOREST - (10) GIGI TRIO - (8) BLUESACHA ROSETGRI - (2) RIVER PLATE

Race 8 1. ARDASHIR - Has racked up a hat trick of claimers around the turn of the year and ran well since too 2. ILLUMINATOR - One win from seven but looks too high in the handicap to be a realistic danger 3. FROSTY BAY - He is a dual winner from seventeen including last time out at Cagnes -sur-mer 4. TERYAG - Thrice a winner from fifteen but cannot be fancied on recent evidence at all 5. GLORIOUS MAN - Just the one win from a dozen attempts and needs to drop another pound to score 6. ANTONI - One success from thirteen but ran unaccountably badly at this venue last time 7. GALINKA - A triple winner from sixteen including a claimer at Deauville last time out 8. SILVER CASINA - He has won three from eighteen and also runner up in last three visits to Cagnes-sur-Mer 9. STREETS OF RIO - Only one success from nineteen but has a lot to do overall form at this stage 10. HIGH ONE - Just the one hit from nineteen and will do well to add another here also 11. MONTEAMIATA - She has won twice in the UK and has performed adequately since coming to these shores 12. RIPAZUR - Remains a maiden after ten outings and if anything seems to be regressing 13. IGGY CHOP - A dual winner from twenty and best to forgive a below par effort here last time 14. DIBAZARI - Still a maiden after sixteen runs but has gone close several times so not dismissed 15. MARK OF EXCELLENCE - Runner up in a claimer here last time but still winless after nine outings 16. SONONCE - Placed in five of her nine runs and will get the job done some day soon 17. DAWN PROMISE - A dual winner from twenty and runner up in two of his last three so can be considered

This is as wide open as the numbers suggest so basically stakes should be kept to a minimum. (8) SILVER CASINA certainly cannot be faulted on consistency of effort and that trait will always stand him in good stead in contests such as this. Two maidens that should go close are (14) DIBAZARI and (15) MARK OF EXCELLENCE. (3) FROSTY BAY and (11) MONTEAMIATA are worthy of a second look also. (8) SILVER CASINA - (14) DIBAZARI - (15) MARK OF EXCELLENCE - (3) FROSTY BAY - (11) MONTEAMIATA

LYON-PARILLY - 15th March Trainer of the day : Mickaël Cormy (118, 404, 513, 707) Driver of the day : Mickaël Cormy (404, 513, 707) Horse of the day : Balzac du Verne (304) Dark Horse : Dixit Danica (609) Race 1 1. CALINE DE MAI CAPO - Took well to the code here during the autumn. Goes barefoot this time and must be respected 2. BEST OF BOURBON - One of the least productive horses here. Sanctioned in six of his eight ridden starts and will not be easy to trust 3. DARK SIDE - Clearly capable but sanctioned more often than not. First appearance in the discipline but best to monitor first time out 4. BAGHEERA DE BARGE - Somewhat unreliable but left a very good impression on penultimate start and can go far if she can reproduce that effort 5. COACH ATOUT - Modest type that returns from a brief spell and will struggle to leave his mark 6. COUNET DU PIC - Not currently at his most productive under harness. Debuts under the saddle and still no danger 7. CIAMS DU SABLIER - Won late January at Marseille but form has regressed since. Is well situated on the front line here though and must be respected 8. BRANDO DU BOUFFEY - Has failed to finish in the frame for almost three years and is not about to change his ways 9. DIVA DES FORGES - Reassured at Chatillon late last month but faces better here and unlikely to shake things up 10. CONFLIT - Not much experience in the specialty but has shown decent aptitude. Ideally placed on the front line and on good behaviour should finish in the mix 11. DEESSE DE FOOT - Enjoyed a superb autumn but has proved a handful since. With stride in check though could pick up a cheque 12. BLASON JULRY - Regularly a question of all-or-nothing. Has two races in him this year and if applied will not be far off the mark 13. DAGGERA DE JELMA - Decent filly that won courageously at Enghien late February. Shoes on this time but can still impose

14. BARAKA BRIONNAISE - Complicated type that tends to show more on turf. Just second start under the saddle and no threat 15. DRIVERIGO D'EAM - Can trot on a good day and reassured at La Capelle earlier in the month. In this company can go close 16. CABESTAN PRIOR - Moderate sort that has never shown any aptitude for ridden competition and can be passed over 17. BELLY DE LA VALLEE - Seldom seen in this branch of the business and in present form is not easy to back 18. COMETE BLEUE - Good dual-purpose mare making her first start for over three months. Has an excellent entry though and could get straight back in the game The in-form (13) DAGGERA DE JELMA has done nothing to disappoint under the saddle since the turn of the year and looks the pick of the field here. She can nonetheless expect to encounter resistance from the returning (18) COMETE BLEUE who has an excellent record in the discipline. (15) DRIVERIGO D'EAM has held his own in better company in the past and should acquit himself competitively. (7) CIAMS DU SABLIER is no slouch when applied and cannot be discounted. (10) CONFLIT breaks from the front and will generate some interest. (13) DAGGERA DE JELMA - (18) COMETE BLEUE - (15) DRIVERIGO D'EAM - (7) CIAMS DU SABLIER - (10) CONFLIT

Race 2 1. URISTAN DE BRENUS - Rarely seen under harness these days. Enduring stride problems and no threat 2. UFANT DE CACENI - Not the most productive of trotters these days and latest efforts leave a lot to be desired 3. URAGANO - Markedly better sort under the saddle and will struggle to leave his mark 4. UZOU - Erratic but has ability. Is confirmed at this level and if applied will have a decent hand to play 5. VIENS DE CHAMBE - Capable but thrashed in all three since the long layoff. Unshod on the front line this time though and must not be overlooked 6. ULYSSE DE LA VITAR - Acquitted himself respectably in both claimers so far but needs to improve on latest effort in Paris 7. AMTAO - Pleased in a Vincennes claimer early January before failing to confirm next time and his lack of consistency will win him little support 8. UN MARCEAUX - Can trot when focused. Takes a big dip in class and breaking from the front this time will do his chances no disservice 9. ULYSSE DU CAMPDOS - Third in a claimer at Cordemais before winning under the saddle on comeback last weekend and could well double his money 10. USERIO DE CARVEL - Excellent in the claiming division and should figure prominently even starting on the second line 11. VAMPIRE FROMENTRO - Makes first start back after a modest winter and will have a lot to find 12. ADRIANO ROANNAIS - Respectable on a good day but after failing to fire in a similar event last time will have few takers 13. UN JOLI KYSS - Has given a decent account in all three claimers to date. Will have come on for return run ten days ago and should not be far off the mark 14. ATHLETIC CHARM - Decent campaigner that is proven at a much better level. Goes barefoot this time and expected to play a leading role 15. ULEOS D'ALB - Has looked very ordinary since the autumn and appears to have nothing to offer 16. ULK DU HAUTY - Has made no impact under harness since last summer and can be ruled out

After ending last season on a good note at this level (9) ULYSSE DU CAMPDOS showed his form under the saddle on comeback last Sunday and if form transitions he should repeat. (4) UZOU boasts a good record in this class and can give the favourite a run for his money if he can reproduce his penultimate performance. During the autumn (14) ATHLETIC CHARM was dynamic when barefoot and after a recent conditioning run looks dangerous. (8) UN MARCEAUX is well-positioned in front and appears to be making progress. (10) USERIO DE CARVEL cannot be faulted in the claiming division and must be respected. (9) ULYSSE DU CAMPDOS - (4) UZOU - (14) ATHLETIC CHARM - (8) UN MARCEAUX - (10) USERIO DE CARVEL

Race 3 1. BONHEUR NAY - Has consistently given a respectable account in recent months. Courageous fifth at Vincennes two weeks ago and can get in on the action here 2. VARKAVA DES VOSGES - Has pleased for the most part since the break. Finished fifth at La Capelle last week and can again make the first five 3. BRUBAKER DREAM - Disappointing since returning to competition and will need to raise his game 4. BALZAC DU VERNE - Delicate type but has got the year off to an excellent start. Shoes back on here but is confirmed under these conditions and with application should not disappoint 5. VASCO DU CHATEAU - Regularly gives a decent account of himself. Has not been seen out since September but is barefoot for the occasion and could make his presence felt 6. ALLER SIMPLE - Occasionally shows his good side at this level but unraced since last July and no chance 7. BEST SCOTT - Returning to racing with shoes on appears to have done the trick. Unraced since early December but is well-placed in front and should not be underestimated 8. VOLGA DE TORTUGA - Has made very little impression in this category for some time but with hind shoes off could get a look in 9. VALESCO DJO - Has raced just twice in past 18 months. Unshod behind this time but the extra 25m will do him no favours 10. UTALIA DE MARCAY - Excellent campaigner in the amateur division. Surprisingly lost her action last time but a player nonetheless 11. BINGO - Proved himself at this level last year. Will have progressed from his return run and although shod will have his supporters 12. VESUVE TURGOT - Modest individual that has done nothing noteworthy for some time and can be written off 13. BIG FOX - Decent trotter but has found the going tough in the professional ranks this year and must reaffirm (4) BALZAC DU VERNE went into his spell on a high note and got straight back in the game on return. He stays shod here but will nonetheless take some beating from the first line. Barring her recent sanction (10) UTALIA DE MARCAY has been impressive at this level and despite the handicap should also figure

prominently. (1) BONHEUR NAY consistently gives everything he has and in current condition looks an appealing place chance. (11) BINGO was victorious last time in the amateur category and will attract support. (8) VOLGA DE TORTUGA races without hind shoes this time and should be able to make the first five. (4) BALZAC DU VERNE - (10) UTALIA DE MARCAY - (1) BONHEUR NAY - (11) BINGO

Race 4 1. FAVORITE - Just one blip on her formsheet so far. Caught the eye at Toulouse mid-february and if she goes left-handed could pleasantly surprise 2. FROMENTIN - In the frame in three of last four. Races for the third time in 13 days but is in form and from the 3-spot cannot be discounted 3. FOLLOW ME DU LOGIS - Has placed just once from five to date but showed improvement at Vincennes last time and the drop in class will work to her advantage 4. FIGLIO MERITE - Disqualified twice here but has won his other two. Comes here fresh and with application can win this time 5. FIORANO POTERIE - Made a fine debut before winning over a similar distance at Saint-Galmier last month. Goes left-handed for the first time but a major player all the same 6. FORTUNA - Runner-up in both outings this year and latterly in good order. Will have her chances if she can stay in stride 7. FELIN DE BOMO - Began the year correctly but disappointing in last two and must show improvement 8. FETE D'AMOUR - Consistently gives everything she has. Gave a good account behind (6) FORTUNA ten days ago and despite the wide draw could get a look in 9. FABULEUX DARCHE - Beginning to come good but in better company here and will have a lot to do 10. FLOWER WOOD - Has demonstrated decent consistency so far but is on the second line this time and a minor place chance at best 11. FLAMME JULRY - Complicated but has ample ability and although on the second line can still play a role if she can get off on the right foot (4) FIGLIO MERITE was sanctioned on both occasions here but won his other two. He has had time to freshen up and on good behaviour can trot off with the silverware. He will be opposed by the improving (6) FORTUNA whose recent effort at Saint-Galmier did not go unnoticed. (5) FIORANO POTERIE has done everything right so far and should again show his good side. (2) FROMENTIN makes his third racecourse appearance in under two weeks but in present form is hard to ignore.

(4) FIGLIO MERITE - (6) FORTUNA - (5) FIORANO POTERIE - (2) FROMENTIN

Race 5 1. ECUME DE BEAULIEU - Delicate filly but showed her form at Vincennes mid- February and if applied could get a look in 2. ECLIPSE DES MAJ - Won a brace since returning to competition. Surprisingly below-par at Enghien next time but can make amends 3. ELAN DE DOMPIERRE - Respectable but not the most productive. Shoes back on and not an obvious choice 4. ELU DE DOMPIERRE - Hardy sort making Parilly debut on a hat-trick. Hind shoes off again and from the front line can play a leading role 5. ELEKTRA MAZA - Just once out of the frame so far and should appreciate these conditions but unraced since October and will need the outing 6. EVA D'ARCY - Has proved better in the other code but first time barefoot under harness and from the front row could pleasantly surprise 7. EBENE DU LOGIS - In the frame in two of four this year. Respectable third at Enghien last time and should not be ignored 8. EUFORIAWICZ - Not the most productive of trotters but encouraged last month when fourth to (12) ELODIE MARCEAUX. Minor place chance at best though 9. EDDY DU LOISIR - Regularly in the thick of things and showed improvement earlier in the month. Hind shoes off for the first time which will help to overcome the handicap 10. EOLE EMESS - Respectable on a good day but has never finished closer than fourth in as many starts here and unlikely to shake things up 11. EASTON OF MY LIFE - Fifth in all three starts this year and is unlikely to go closer here 12. ELODIE MARCEAUX - Just one blip on her formsheet since last summer. Flew up at Saint-Galmier three weeks ago and again looks a serious prospect 13. EROS DU FOSSE - Excellent since the turn of the year and is confirmed here. Stays shod this time and although on the back line should still give a competitive account 14. ESTANCIA LOVE - Regularly in the action and recently third in a good bunch at Cagnes. Hind shoes off this time and should have a good hand to play The talented (4) ELU DE DOMPIERRE is unbeaten from two when unshod behind and given her place on the front line is eminently capable of pulling off the

hat-trick. The main opposition comes from the back line with the in-form (13) EROS DU FOSSE looking the principal threat even though he races shod this time. (14) ESTANCIA LOVE finished third in a Class A at Cagnes mid-february and going unshod behind this time looks a very appealing prospect. (12) ELODIE MARCEAUX won in style at Saint-Galmier three weeks ago and has every chance of going close again. (4) ELU DE DOMPIERRE - (13) EROS DU FOSSE - (14) ESTANCIA LOVE - (12) ELODIE MARCEAUX

Race 6 1. DORENZO DU HOULBET - Tricky sort but not one to underestimate when unshod all four. Imposed over shorter last time here and should be afforded respect 2. DYNAMIC LA BORIE - Showed his form under the saddle recently. Goes barefoot for just the second time and will justifiably generate interest 3. DJEMBE D'ORGERES - Respectable type that pleased last time at the venue. Breaks in front and if applied can play a small role 4. DAMOCLEY DE BEA - Has ability but not the most dependable. Shoes off this time though and should not be entirely ignored 5. DOUBLE IMPACT - Regularly gives everything he has but placed just once in last nine and must find more 6. DARIUS AULNOIS - Turned a corner last year when racing unshod. Unseen for four months and with shoes on has no realistic chance 7. DISCO DES TAUREAUX - Moderate sort making his seasonal debut and will not be helped by the extra 25m 8. DALMERIA - Useful but erratic. Has two races under her belt but will need to show improvement 9. DIXIT DANICA - Enjoyed a profitable autumn including second to (11) DAD DU CEDRE before being sent for a break. Has one race in him and with hind shoes off looks more of a player this time 10. DREAM THE BEST - In the action for the most part. Encouraged in a tough race in Paris late February and can make the frame this time 11. DAD DU CEDRE - Hard to knock when racing unshod and has won over course and distance. Made an excellent comeback last month and even from the second line looks a serious prospect 12. DECIDEMENT - Has been struggling with stride issues lately but would have gone close last time had he not faulted and with application can get back in the game 13. DROP DES DURIEZ - Frequently shows a lack of discipline but otherwise in the thick of things. Tends to go better left-handed but still a respectable prospect 14. DREAMER DE CHENU - Delicate but has won the last four races he has finished. More reliable going right-handed but still has a role to play 15. DONA NINA - Complicated sort but has bags of talent. Is proven in better company and the drop in class will work to her advantage

Although having failed to make his mark this year (12) DECIDEMENT showed he was in form at Vincennes two weeks ago and can have his way here provided he can keep his action together. Stablemate (15) DONA NINA can also prove a little tricky but her form is not in doubt and looks to be in with a realistic shout. (10) DREAM THE BEST has been going very smartly for the past three months and the distance advantage stands him in good stead. The consistently impressive (11) DAD DU CEDRE incurs the penalty here but is confirmed over course and distance and must be respected. (9) DIXIT DANICA finished runner-up to him in a Class A here during the autumn and is 25m better off on this occasion. (12) DECIDEMENT - (15) DONA NINA - (10) DREAM THE BEST - (11) DAD DU CEDRE - (9) DIXIT DANICA

Race 7 1. BONJOUR - Reassured under the saddle last month but less productive under harness and not a serious proposition 2. CRAZY LOOK - Delicate but useful type with a good entry here but stays shod this time and others preferred 3. BRAVE ATOUT - Particularly effective in last four when barefoot. Scored nicely at Cagnes late February and is well-positioned to put on another good show 4. CLARA DALLAUCH - Regularly in the thick of things and solid at Caen ten days ago. First time at the venue but looks competitively well in 5. CASINO D'OURVILLE - On cracking form of late and latterly won a Class C smartly at Cagnes. Barefoot again and can repeat 6. CLARA DU BOCAGE - Seldom disappoints when she can maintain stride but has been off for four months and can be passed over 7. BOTTARUS - Faithful servant for the most part but unplaced in last two. Has speed though and should appreciate these conditions 8. BACCARA DE TUNIS - Not the most dependable of horses but should be fit by now and could get a look in 9. CLEMENCE D'EM - Tough type that recently made her re-entry and with shoes on will have little to offer 10. BEST OF DU VAL - Has been out of the picture since his return to competition and needs to show marked improvement 11. BLUE WINNER - Complicated type that is more suited to the claiming division these days and from the second line will have no chance (5) CASINO D'OURVILLE seldom fails to give a good account when barefoot and following his recently convincing success at Cagnes should be able to double his money. (3) BRAVE ATOUT is somewhat better situated behind the car and in present shape looks the principal danger to the former's supremacy. (4) CLARA DALLAUCH is as consistent as they come and the nature of her recent Caen effort bodes well for her chances. (7) BOTTARUS starts wide but regularly acquits himself well here and should be able to put his turn of foot to good use. (5) CASINO D'OURVILLE - (3) BRAVE ATOUT - (4) CLARA DALLAUCH - (7) BOTTARUS

Race 8 1. AVRIK DE GUEZ - Ended last season on a poor run. Is shod for return and no chance 2. CLIF DU POMMEREUX - Multiple group-placed horse that has begun to show improvement and from the 2-spot looks a decent prospect 3. VIC DU POMMEREUX - Not the most reliable but caught the eye in a recent event at Vincennes and will have his supporters 4. CALY LOULOU - Solid since returning to racing barefoot. Excellent 5th in the Prix de Selection and ideally placed in front. Claim 5. VA TRES BIEN - Looked decidedly ordinary before the break and can be confidently ruled out 6. BAD BOY DU DOLLAR - Tough type that has excuses for recent clinker in Paris and should make his mark provided his wheel stays intact this time 7. ARIANE DE CAPONET - Good consistent campaigner in both codes. Currently enjoying a fine run and although drawn wide can still go close 8. CALIN DE MORGE - Sent for a brief spell following a brace of poor efforts in Paris but will have freshened up and should get back in the game 9. ULYSSE MARIA - Has been racing respectably of late but shoes back on and others preferred 10. UGO D'URZY - Last finished in the frame over two years ago and will pose no threat 11. VENCEDOR - Useful trotter but has just one race in him since the layoff and appears to be facing a stiff test 12. CROSS DAIRPET - Regularly gives everything he has but is no great fan of Parilly and the draw will do him no favours The reliable (4) CALY LOULOU comes to Lyon off the back of a fine G.I Prix de Selection performance and has the ideal conditions in which to impose for the first time in 13 months. She is unlikely to have it all her own way though if (2) CLIF DU POMMEREUX can progress from his promising run in Paris two weeks ago. (7) ARIANE DE CAPONET starts wide but is in fine shape and can be backed with confidence. The reinvigorated (6) BAD BOY DU DOLLAR endured some misfortune last time out and over this faster trip should more than make amends.

(4) CALY LOULOU - (2) CLIF DU POMMEREUX - (7) ARIANE DE CAPONET - (6) BAD BOY DU DOLLAR

MARSEILLE-VIVAUX - 15th March Trainer of the day : Patrick Khozian (102, 205, 502, 704) Jockey of the day : Guillaume Millet (102, 205, 506, 704) Horse of the day : Diamond Wine (402) Dark Horse : Win On Sunday (714) Race 1 1. QATAR RIVER - Well beaten in a maiden on fibresand at Deauville latest. Faces an easier task here 2. COMPULSORY - Placed in eight of ten and indeed was runner up in last four so must be counted in 3. SAX - Improved last run when blinkered for the first time at Lyon la Soie. Same feature applies today 4. COMBOURG - Made promising debut at Lyon la Soie on 1 March in an identical race. Strong claims 5. METASTRESS - Down the field on both starts to date and is hard to like 6. ROGNAC - Well beaten on debut race at Cagnes sur Mer two months ago. Has plenty to find 7. RUDY MAN - Best efforts have been registered in the claiming division. Small place chance 8. FIRST DES SOURCES - Good debut over course & distance last November but has been in mixed form since 9. VIA CAPPELLA - Not devoid of ability but more effective in the claiming division. Not a priority 10. EL DIVO - Good last two runs in claimers. First start for new yard. Can surprise 11. TIMOUR LENK - Has yet to make the frame after four starts in this league. Others are preferred The way (4) COMBOURG quickened last time was very impressive and he must have plenty more to offer having that first experience under his belt at present. He will be retained ahead of (1) QATAR RIVER who steps down in grade and (2) COMPULSORY whose experience is a big asset in a race like this. (3) SAX is on

the up and must be respected. (4) COMBOURG - (1) QATAR RIVER - (2) COMPULSORY - (3) SAX

Race 2 1. SHEHAB - Effective in this division and surface so must be closely monitored 2. CADENCIA - Off the mark on turf at Hyeres last month. On a tough mark on handicap debut 3. GRAND GALA - Course and distance winner. Erratic but capable on a good day and cannot be overlooked 4. OPERATOR - Won well over course & distance latest. has a five pounds penalty to defy 5. SILVER DOLLAR - Very effective over this course & distance. On a workable mark and must be respected 6. JASPER - Hard to fault in this division. Has a good record over track & trip. Player 7. ARIZONA RUN - Veteran who is still game at the age of ten. On a tough mark at present though 8. PRIME SUSPECT - Won a handicap at Saint-Cloud last September but has lost his way since 9. ZINZICHERA - Got back in the game at 68/1 when finishing fourth in an identical race at Cagnes sur Mer latest. Unlikely to reproduce such feat 10. ROYAL CALAS - Beaten a long way on comeback run over course & distance. Should be fitter this time 11. FAIR MOON - Not beaten far last two times in identical contests and can grab a small place with a good run 12. LA BELLE ETOILE - Well held last time out over 2000m. Rise in trip will favor but still on a high mark Preference is for (1) SHEHAB who sets a fair standard on his runner-up effort behind Kailyn. (5) SILVER DOLLAR has strong form over this course and distance and looks the big danger to the selection. (6) JASPER did not go unnoticed last time out at Lyon la Soie and enters the equation. (4) OPERATOR is on-form and has to be considered. (1) SHEHAB - (5) SILVER DOLLAR - (6) JASPER - (4) OPERATOR

Race 3 1. WEJDAH - Has only shown limited ability in three starts on turf thus far 2. REVE TOUJOURS - Experienced filly but has shown very little in eight starts and best to look elsewhere 3. ARUSHA - Has been knocking on the door since the end of last year. Big player 4. TERRE SAONOISE - Made promising debut at Lyon la Soie last October but disappointed on comeback race at the start of the month. Should do a lot better 5. FARADAY LE DUN - Made promising debut on turf at Marseille-Borely at the end of last month. Player with improvement likely 6. GRANDE VADROUILLE - Not disgraced in a handicap on fibresand at Cagnes sur Mer. Place chance 7. MARSEILLE - Down the field on debut race at Cagnes sur Mer last January. Has a lot to find 8. ARCHANGEL - Not beaten far in an identical race at Lyon la Soie latest. Has more to offer and can make the frame 9. CHINA PEARL - Never made the frame in seven starts so far and is unlikely to trouble the judge There was a lot to like about (3) ARUSHA recent efforts and she can put that experience to good use to finally record a well-deserved first success. The form of (5) FARADAY LE DUN's debut race has worked out well and she must be closely monitored. (8) ARCHANGEL is an improving filly who should be on the shortlist. (3) ARUSHA - (5) FARADAY LE DUN - (8) ARCHANGEL - (1) WEJDAH

Race 4 1. WOOLDIX - Useful colt in the claiming division but will have limited aspirations in a race like this 2. DIAMOND WINE - Outclassed rivals in a class 2 last time out while blinkered for the first time. Steps up in grade with every chance 3. PIMPINEHORSE - Good last run in a claimer over course & distance. Things are much tougher today 4. DANCE COLONY - Very consistent filly whose sole win came on fibresand. Place chance 5. TOUJOURS READY - Second to a very promising juvenile at Cagnes sur Mer. Won first time out and form has since worked out well 6. MISVA - Effective on both turf and fibresand. Improving and should not be underrated 7. PEACEFUL CITY - Two career victories in claimers and appears to have limited chances here (2) DIAMOND WINE made short work of his rivals at Deauville while fitted with blinkers for the first time. With the same headgear today he will take a power of beating. The Rouget-trained (5) TOUJOURS READY was second to a very promising colt last time and with plenty of progress to offer she is the main threat to the the selection. (2) DIAMOND WINE - (5) TOUJOURS READY - (4) DANCE COLONY - (6) MISVA

Race 5 1. CREPUSCULEDESDIEUX - Very handsome profile with eleven wins from fifty three. Very effective over course & distance 2. KAYENNE - Consistent mare that has a good record over course and distance. Enters the equation 3. GRIS D'ARGENT - Well beaten on comeback race in heavy ground at Angers. Ships a long way for the race 4. BAHAR - Not devoid of ability but faces a tough assignment in this division 5. ALI SPIRIT - Enjoyed a fruitful 2017 season in the claiming division but has his work cut out here 6. DIWAY - Not disgraced last time in a Quinte race. Previous form is solid. Must be respected 7. SAILANA - Fine filly in Switzerland but has it all to prove on french soil (1) CREPUSCULEDESDIEUX boasts an impressive record of seven victories and four podiums from eleven runs over course and distance and is expected to leave behind his last below-par effort. (2) KAYENNE is a fine mare who simply does not know how to run a bad race and she will lead the opposition with (3) GRIS D'ARGENT who is sure to show a lot of progress following his return to action. (1) CREPUSCULEDESDIEUX - (2) KAYENNE - (3) GRIS D'ARGENT - (6) DIWAY

Race 6 1. VADLANA - Very effective in this division. Tries the trip and must be shortlisted 2. CAP AIGUADES - Never a factor in five starts to date including one in this division. Hard to fancy 3. PORT DEAUVILLE - Runner-up in an identical contest at Cagnes sur Mer latest. Still a maiden after eight starts 4. FILLE DARGENT - Off the mark in an identical contest over one mile at Cagnes sur Mer. Tries the trip 5. PREMIER CONSUL - Placed just once from six runs last year. First start for new yard 6. AROK - Finished third on debut race in a maiden last October on turf. Big expectations on comeback run 7. HAZARDEUSE - Showed better intentions in last run on turf but things look tougher back on fibresand 8. ANGEVINE - Never a danger in seven starts to date including six in this division. Ignore 9. GAIA DE CERISY - No better than fifth from twelve starts and is unlikely to trouble the judge (6) AROK showed a bit of temperament on debut race on turf last year but should fare much better this time and is taken to go off the mark on his first attempt in a claimer. Nonetheless (1) VADLANA is the one with the best credentials and is likely to give a lot to do to the selection. (3) PORT DEAUVILLE and (4) FILLE DARGENT can be in the shake-up. (6) AROK - (1) VADLANA - (3) PORT DEAUVILLE - (4) FILLE DARGENT

Race 7 1. CIELO RASO - Pleased when third in the race of reference at the start of February but subsequently flopped at Cagnes sur Mer 2. LEAPING - Effective over this course & distance. Well held last two times out in this division 3. MOT DE PASSE - Consistent in this division. Competitive off current mark and must be respected 4. ROBIN BLOOD - Blows hot and cold but ran a big race over track & trip on penultimate start and cannot be discounted 5. AMERICAN SONG - Useful in the claiming division but seems on a tough mark and others are preferred 6. STAR WHITE - Well beaten on both starts since back from a spell. Has plenty to find 7. FLEURON - Never a factor in four starts this winter and needs to reaffirm at present 8. YARD BIRD - Hard to make a case on form and can confidently be passed over 9. BRANCAIO - Has gone out of form since June last year and is hard to consider 10. TESORO MOI - Still a maiden after twelve runs and if anything seems to be regressing 11. ERNIE - One success from thirty nine runs does not make the best of reading so dismissed 12. FINE ANGELS - Well beaten on both starts since back on the flat. Hard to consider 13. DE BON MATIN - Will come on from last run but remains more effective on turf and best to watch 14. WIN ON SUNDAY - Very competitive off current mark. Good last run at Cagnes sur Mer and has obvious claims (3) MOT DE PASSE displayed an interesting effort on turf last time. Upped in trip today he can make it back to the winning enclosure. (4) ROBIN BLOOD has run extremely well on both starts over course & distance and can leave behind his last effort. (14) WIN ON SUNDAY and (1) CIELO RASO have obvious claims for podium. (2) LEAPING cannot be dismissed.
