Combining two of your favorite things, Running and Craft Beer! We promise a great 1 mile race for you to push yourself and a 6k race which will provide you with a little different distance than your normal weekend 5k. Oh, and you race registration get s you into the Micro Brew Mile Craft Beer Festival for only $ (while they are available!) How awesome is that! Your Awesome Micro Brew T-Shirt (Shirts guaranteed to the first 500 pre-registered runners by June 12 th, but if for some reason we run out for race day sign up, don t fret we will get you your shirt as soon as possible, so just stay cool!) Race Bib Bib will include beer tickets to the Post Race Party taking place on 14 th Street. (Plenty of Galena Brewery Golden Keg Beer (you ll see ) to all registered runners as well must be 21 to drink!) 1 Mini Jimmy from Jimmy John s Newest 5 th Avenue Location, Post Race snacks and fruits on hand!! MYLAPS Bib tag Your chip is in your Bib this year!! Now go pin on your bib and go run super fast!!! If you are 21 and plan on drinking during the Post Race Party or Craft Beer Festival, please bring your ID with you to get your wrist band placed on your wrist during Packet Pick Up. please DO NOT TAKE IT OFF, or you will have to show your ID again to get a wrist band after the race in order party like it s 1999 Can someone else pick up my packet? Yes, they will need to sign for you stating they have picked up your packet. On-Site Registration Yes, If you were unable to register online, come down Friday or Saturday and get registered!

4 When and Where? Saturday, June 16 th 2018 Parking lot T (parking lot behind The Barrel House) 5 th Avenue Moline, between 13 th Street and 14 th Street. Must have Valid ID and be 21 at the Gate to DRINK! NO ID, NO DRINK. Please remember that there will be no parking on 5 th Avenue from 1:30-6:30pm due to the race, so please plan ahead on parking. Remember to plan ahead on your way home too, please NO DRINKING AND DRIVING! General Admission Entrance is 5 PM 8 PM, $35.00 dollars at the Gate while they last Designated Driver Entrance (No Drinking ) is 5 PM 8PM, $5.00 dollars What will I get? General Admission - Your Awesome Taster provided by River Bend Race Productions & Mandle Design, 15 Sample tickets, additional ticket sales on site, appetizers from the best downtown Restaurants Barrel House and Bier Stube! Free pulled pork sliders from Hy-Vee Avenue of the Cities! (5:00 7:00 only or while they last), live entertainment from The 309 (5-8pm). On-Site during Festival There will be a glassware, merchandise tent, and the other great vendor s on site for purchase of some goods, as well as the numerous breweries on site pouring samples of their goods. So bring your debt card, credit card, cash or check if you want to purchase some glassware or merch! Additional Sample Tickets for sale near entrance.

5 When? Saturday, June 16 th, 2018 Athletico Open Wave will start at 2:00PM Open to all ages, runners and walkers. Walkers must be able to hit a sub 20:00 min pace. Competitive Division - Combined Men and Women Combined Men and Women this year to help everyone push themselves towards that fast Mile PR!! Women - Sub 7:00 pace required Men Sub 6:00 pace required - will start at 2:00PM Masters Division Combined Men and Women There will be a cash prize for the overall Masters Male and Female. Must be 40 years old on up to qualify. - will start at 2:00PM Fleet Feet Elite Women Division Sub 6:00 pace required - will start at 2:25PM Fleet Feet Elite Men Division Sub 5:00 pace required - will start at 2:25PM 6K will start at 2:45PM Award Ceremony will start at 3:45PM

Starting Line Look for the Starting Line Flags on 5 th Avenue, between 14 th & 15 th Street Finish Line Oh YOU WILL SEE IT It will be at the intersection of 14 th & 5 TH AVE What time should I arrive? Please plan on getting downtown early to ensure a parking spot that is not located on the course. Carpooling, Uber, and taxi is the best means of transportation to save time and not having to worry about driving home later if you plan on drinking. Please plan on being downtown Moline at least mins prior to your race to ensure proper warm up, stretching, and to find parking. Please see the City of Moline Parking map in this packet to find proper parking. There will be NO parking on 5 th Avenue between 13 th and 16 th Street as that will be part of the course and closed to traffic and parking. There will be parking on 5 th Avenue East of 16 th Street. There will be plenty of parking downtown Moline, but please plan ahead on where you would like to park. Car pooling is highly encouraged, so bug that friend or family member who has the SUV/Van to drive all of you!

7 For all your hard work you deserve a prize! Award Ceremony 3:45PM ish - 14 th Street Post Race Party Main Stage The top three overall fastest times in the Mile and the 6K (excluding any runners with either high school or college eligibility) will be awarded a cash prize. The Overall fastest Masters Male and Female will receive a cash prize. The Top Male Clydesdale and Female Athena will receive a cash prize. The top five overall runners in each wave of the mile will win a customized, commemorative pint glass. The top 3 in each age group of the 6K will receive our awesome limited edition Micro Brew Mile Pint Glass. Hugs, High Fives, and Selfies with the Race Director, or any member of the Micro Brew Mile committee is encouraged by all our participants.

8 And please remember, we reserve the right to stop serving anyone, at anytime if any Tomfoolery should ensue, and our local law enforcement will be on hand to make sure we are all playing nicely. Did someone say Party? Did Someone say Craft Beer Festival? After you finish your mile wave or 6K For the Racers, join us during the Post Race Party taking place on 14 th Street for snacks (fruit, bagels, cookies), Jimmy John s Mini-Jimmy s, Awesome Galena Brewery Beer, rocking tunes from the MAC, post race stretching from Athletico and Merchant Sales from Fleet Feet and Running Wild (Burlington/Quincy store), The Happy Mutant, Ryan Rub, and BluJacket. The Micro Brew Mile Craft Beer Festival will also be taking place (5-8pm) and as a registered runner, you will get a discounted entry ($10.00 dollars savings when purchased online before hand or at the gate while available). Show your ID at Packet Pick Up to get your wrist band placed on you (if you are over 21 and plan to consume any alcohol) or show your ID and Bib Number at the Gate to get your Taster with 15 sample tickets (additional ticket sales on site). Race participants who plan on drinking alcohol during the Post Race Party will receive a wrist band. If you took advantage of the $10.00 dollar deal to enter the Craft Beer Festival, you will receive a single (different colored) wrist band, that says you are 21 and paid took advantage of the $10.00 deal for the Festival. That will get you beer in the Post Race Party, and the Festival. These MUST be placed on during Friday s Packet Pick up to avoid making kittens sad don t make kittens sad In the 14 th Street Post-Race Party area you will find fruit, bagels, cookies, free cold water, free cold pop, your one free Mini Jimmy, craft beer tickets (on bib) and access to plenty of Galena Brewery Golden Keg beer. And good tunes from the MAC will keep you rocking all night, 2:00-5:30pm. 14 th Street Post Race Party Wrist Bands for any non-registered race participants will be $10.00 dollars and covers beer only during the 14 th Street Post Race Party only. Only those with the 14 th Street Wrist Bands will be allowed to drink Beer in the 14 th Street Post Race Party. Day of Craft Beer Festival wristbands for registered runners who did not sign up online for the Craft Beer Festival will be $10.00 dollars and located at the Wrist bands tent located on 14 th Street and at the Micro Brew Mile Tent located just outside the Post Race Party near the Alley. All runners must bring an ID to get a wrist band placed on them either at the Packet Pick Up or at the gate after they finish the race in order to par take in any adult beverages. No ID, No wrist band, No adult beverages, Period.

9 You must have a great time, Tell your friends who could Not make it, and come back to run the 2019 Micro Brew MILE or just party with us during the craft beer festival again next year, Saturday, June 15 th 2019!! (Registration and ticket sales open after the race) What breweries you ask? If you are 21 be prepared to Sample! (One ticket equals one 2 oz sample) Remember your ID! You must have your ID to get a wrist band you must be 21 to consume alcohol

11 1 Mile Route June 16 th 2018 Downtown, Moline, IL Flat and Fast, this spectator friendly course will start on 5 th Avenue between 14 th and 15 th Street (Green Arrow box below). Runners will run east on 5 th Avenue until turning left on 19 th street, followed by another left onto 4 th Avenue which you will continue on until taking another left on 13 th Street followed by another left onto 5 th Avenue and then head into the finish line (Red Arrow box below). 1/2 3/4 1/4

12 6K Route June 16 th 2018 Downtown, Moline, IL Just one big loop, one small loop, then Finish!! Flat and Fast, this spectator friendly course will start on 5 th Avenue between 14 th and 15 th Street (Green Arrow box below). Participants head East on 5 th Avenue until turning left on 19 th street, followed by another left onto 4 th Avenue which you will continue on until taking another left on 4 th Street followed by another left onto 5 th Avenue and then continue East until turning left onto 19 th Street, followed by another Left onto 4 th Avenue which you will continue on until taking another left onto 11 th street, followed by another left onto 5 th Avenue and then the sprint home towards the Finish line located at 14 th Street (Red Box) There will be 4 water stops along the course, and cold bottled water at finish 1 M W W Big Loop first W 2 M W starting at 19 th Street, You will need to stay in the northern most lane for your first loop of the 6K on 4 th Ave. There will be a sign and volunteer there. This is to separate the 6K First Loop from the 6K Finishers Lane, so the pace vehicle can make it s way towards the finish line. There will also be a 6k Finishers lane starting at 11 th Street on 5 th Avenue so no one is blocking anyone at the finish line. Big Loop First Small Loop Second

13 The Children s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities The Children s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities is a major service provider for children and families throughout Western Illinois and Southeastern Iowa. It is a great privilege and responsibility to help children with developmental disabilities achieve their highest level of independence. The Children s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities are licensed therapists in Early Intervention Services for both Illinois and Iowa providing therapy services to children with developmental disabilities and developmental delays. Over the years, thousands of individuals and their families have benefited from their services, regardless of their ability to pay for the services. They are here to help answer your questions and concerns and can put your family in touch with those they have helped. As a non-profit agency, they have the ability to visit your child in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. Direct therapy services to children are provided only by therapists who are licensed in both Illinois and Iowa. The Children s Therapy Center does not use aides or assistants in direct therapy to children. There will be a Charity Tent on Site for additional donations, remember every little bit helps us fight for a cure against this horrible disease!!!

14 Mississippi Bend Trykes - Creating Mobility and Independence for People with Disabilities - Our Mission: AMBUCS is a national organization whose Mission Statement is: Creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities. The organization raises funds to provide adapted tricycles to children that are unable to ride a traditional bicycle. Our local chapter of AMBUCS, Mississippi Bend Trykes was formed in January We serve individuals in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, and we currently are the only chapter in the entire state of Iowa. 15 The Chris "SPEY" VanSpeybroeck Memorial The Chris "SPEY" VanSpeybroeck Memorial is a non-profit memorial scholarship fund started in August of The primary goal of the Memorial is to educate and increase awareness of meningococcal disease and provide scholarships to graduating seniors from local Illinois High Schools (Alleman, Rock Island, Moline, United Township, and Geneseo) who will attest to obtaining the vaccination. The Chris "SPEY" VanSpeybroeck Memorial mission is to educate families and others about bacterial meningitis and preventative approaches to the disease. In particular, the Memorial is focused on raising awareness and protection among adolescents and young adults, many of whom can be protected through education and vaccination efforts. Goals: -To help educate families and others about the dangers of bacterial meningitis and preventative approaches to the disease -To support research and development of improved meningitis vaccines through the National Meningitis Association There will be a Charity Tent on Site for additional donations, remember every little bit helps us fight for a cure against this horrible disease!!!

If you give us your best Micro Brew Mile Game face, we might even use it for some promotional items next year!
