3 INTRODUCTION The following pages provide relevant information on the nomination schedules and conditions of the remaining 2013 BTBA Series races, and the proposed BTBA Sale-Graduate races (from June to December). The 2013 BTBA Breeders Stakes Program (Yearling Nomination Schedule) and information relevant to Stallion Nominations are also included for your convenience. BREEDERS STAKES RACES & NOMINATIONS SCHEDULES 2013 (June December) 2 3

4 THE BREEDERS SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP [Gr.3RB-Bar] (Barbados-bred 3YO+ - About 5.5 furlongs or 1100 metres) To be run on August 17, 2013 PURSE/VALUE OF RACE Minimum Guaranteed - $20,000 Open to THREE-YEAR-OLDS and OLDER in 2013, foaled in Barbados and sired by Breeders Stakes Stallions (stallions registered with and whose returns have been duly made in accordance with the regulations issued by the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association in the year during which the subject horses were sired), and which are eligible by virtue of having paid all the general and required, accepted and registered qualifying nominations. The weights to be carried by each horse will be in accordance with the Weight-For-Age Scale for the month in which the race is to be run. Fillies and Mares will receive a Sex Allowance of 5lbs from Colts and Geldings. NO APPRENTICE, MAIDEN nor RATING ALLOWANCES. PRESCRIBED NOMINATION SCHEDULE 1 st Nomination of $150 payable on or before Friday, June 14, nd Nomination of $200 payable on or before Friday, June 21, rd Nomination of $250 payable on or before Thursday, July 04, th Nomination of $275 payable on or before Friday, July 19, th Nomination of $325 payable on or before Wednesday, July 31, 2013 Any owner who fails to subscribe by the due dates stated above may subscribe at any of the later dates, provided the previous unpaid nominations are paid together with the penalties according to the following schedule. If at least the first nomination is paid for a horse, but the horse still not paid up for in full by the 5 th nomination deadline, that horse may still be made eligible via payment of the Late Penalty by its deadline (again provided all previous unpaid nominations are also paid). If no nominations were received for a horse, then the Supplementary payment becomes due and payable by its deadline, in lieu of the other nominations and penalties, in order for that horse to be made eligible. PENALTY SCHEDULE STAGE DUE DATES PENALTY 2 nd June 21, 2013 $200 3 rd July 04, 2013 $400 4 th July 19, 2013 $600 5 th July 31, 2013 $800 Late Penalty August 01, 2013 $1,000 Supplementary August 02, 2013 $2,600 Please note that the 3 rd nomination is payable on a Thursday, and the 5 th and final nomination is due on a Wednesday. 4 THE 2013 BREEDERS STAKES PROGRAM (YEARLING NOMINATIONS) Upon payment of a non-refundable $500-nomination fee, all Yearlings of 2013 sired in Barbados by Breeders Stakes Stallions - i.e. stallions registered with (and whose returns have been duly made in accordance with the regulations issued by) the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association in the year during which the yearlings were sired, will be eligible to run in any of the following Breeders Stakes races for which the horse qualifies either by age, sex or points according to the following schedule. (Further nomination payments will be required for each individual race.) 1. A race for two-year-old horses over 1,100 metres, to be run during the Third Season of racing, A race for three-year-old horses over 1,570 metres, to be run during the First Season of racing, A race for three-year-old and older horses over 1,100 metres, to be run during the 2015 Racing Calendar, and in such subsequent years as may be determined by the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association and The Barbados Turf Club. 4. A race for three-year-old and older horses over 1,800 metres, to be run during the Third Season of racing, 2015; and in such subsequent years as may be determined by the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association and The Barbados Turf Club. Nomination Deadline: Friday, July 26, 2013 The nomination fee of $ must be received by the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association on or before July 26, 2013 and by 4:00p.m. at the Registered Office of the Barbados Turf Club, The Garrison, St. Michael. If nominating after July 26, 2013 a penalty of $1, along with the unpaid $ nomination is due, and must be received by the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association on or before August 30, 2013 and by 4:00p.m. at the Registered Office of the Barbados Turf Club, The Garrison, St. Michael. If nominating after August 30, 2013 a penalty of $2, along with the unpaid $ nomination is due, and must be received by the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association on or before September 27, 2013 and by 4:00p.m. at the Registered Office of the Barbados Turf Club, The Garrison, St. Michael. Payments made by cheque and delivered through the post, or howsoever else made must be posted or delivered so as to be received at the Registered Office aforesaid by or before 4.00pm on the due dates, and unless received by 4.00pm on the due dates will not be accepted. 5

5 List of Stallions (2013) Nomination fees have been received and returns are now due for the following 23 stallions, in order that their offspring sired in 2013 may be eligible for nomination to the BTBA in STALLION RETURNS 2013 MEMORANDUM TO STALLION OWNERS Please be reminded that the 2013 Stallion Nomination process which entitles your stallion to be registered as a 2013 Breeders Stakes Stallion requires that returns be submitted for the subject stallion. The Stallion Returns Form must be completed (with all mares covered by the stallion in 2013 listed, noting whether the mare(s) was/were tested as in-foal/not-infoal), and signed by the owner/authorized agent before being submitted. Stallion owners MUST list the names of ALL mares covered by each stallion. Failure to list any covered mare s name (by the final deadline set out below), will make any resultant foal ineligible for nomination to the Breeders Stakes Program, unless a $ penalty is paid along with the Yearling Nomination fee, at the time the 2015 yearling nomination fee is due. Completed Stallion Returns Forms must be placed in the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association s box on or before 4:00p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the registered office of The Barbados Turf Club. Forms submitted after the 4:00p.m. deadline on the aforementioned due date will incur a penalty of $100 if received by 4:00p.m. on September 27 th, If received after September 27 th, 2013, and by 4:00p.m. on October 31 st, 2013, a penalty of $ is incurred. 8 IMPORTANT NOTES 2013 BTBA BREEDERS STAKES RACES Please see Appendix II for the list of Two-year-olds of 2013 which were nominated to the Breeders Stakes Program. For each of the aforementioned 2013 races, payments made by cheque and delivered through the post, or howsoever else made must be posted or delivered so as to be received at the Registered Office aforesaid by or before 4.00pm on the due dates, and unless received by 4.00pm on the due dates will not be accepted. The schedule for the races to be run, and all conditions herein stipulated are subject to the clause that if due to financial or other unforeseen circumstances all or any of the races cannot be staged (or a specific condition met), then any other schedule, condition or determination will be at the sole discretion of the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association without any liability whatsoever to the Barbados Turf Club or the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association. Adequate notice will be provided in the event of such changes. Yearlings of 2012 for which the Yearling Nomination fee was not paid, are eligible for the Breeders Stakes of 2014 (not shown) and the Turf Breeders Stakes (of 2014, and when otherwise held) only, provided its respective sire was nominated in full the year in which the yearling was sired. Yearling Nomination is not necessary for eligibility to nominate to these two (2) races; however Yearling Nomination entitles a horse for eligibility to ALL BTBA Breeders Stakes Races. BREEDERS PREMIUMS Breeders and Sires Premiums will be paid in amounts determined by the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association and The Barbados Turf Club. BTBA BREEDERS AND SIRES INCENTIVES WILL ONLY BE PAID TO BREEDERS WHO ARE BTBA FINANCIAL MEMBERS AT THE TIME THE RESPECTIVE RACE IS RUN. NUMBER OF STARTERS and QUALIFICATION TO START The maximum number of starters will be TWELVE. In the event of more than twelve horses being declared to start, qualification to start will be determined based on the performance of each horse in its last four races, in accordance with the points schedule set out below. POINTS SCHEDULE WIN 2 nd 3 rd 4 th Maiden Race Open Race - W/A, Allot. Or H/C Nomination/Subscription Race In cases where horses have the same number of points (or no points at all), qualification will be determined by drawn lot. For all 2013 races, there will be an Entry fee of 2.5% of the first prize payable on the day appointed for the taking of General Entries. NOMINATIONS AND PENALTIES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Entry fees only will be refunded to any horse eliminated from a race. PURSE / VALUE OF RACES The purse for each of the 2013 Breeders Stakes Races described above will include the total amount of prescribed nominations received for the respective race, plus 50% of all penalties (less 15% deducted for the administrative cost); plus such amounts as may be added by the Barbados Turf Club and a Sponsor. 9 THE SALE-GRADUATES FUTURITY (CR) (Barbados-bred 2YO s - About 5½ furlongs or 1100 metres) To be run on September 14, 2013 PURSE/VALUE OF RACE Minimum Guaranteed (For Sale-Graduates Only) - $20,000 (For Non-Sale-Graduates Only) - $12,000 Open to TWO-YEAR-OLDS of 2013 foaled in Barbados and registered as Barbados-bred. Preference for entry shall be given to BTBA Sale-Graduates (horses which have either passed through an associated BTBA sale, or have qualified via payment of the Eligibility Fee by the applicable deadline for its agegroup). (See also Preference to Start and Number of Starters below) The weights to be carried by each horse will be allocated as shown below: Winners lbs Maidens... Allowed 7lbs Fillies to receive 5lbs from colts and geldings. If at the close of entry and/or declaration (or on raceday, subject to Rule 90B) the highest weight is less than 123lbs, then that weight shall be raised to 123lbs and all other weights raised equally. This race is one of the incentives proposed in the Terms & Conditions of the Sale. Therefore, there is an additional $5,000 Bonus payable to any SALE- GRADUATE winner of this race which qualifies for this incentive, by virtue of being legitimately purchased in an associated BTBA Sale. SALE-GRADUATE RACES 2013 (June December) 14 BREEDERS PREMIUMS Breeders and Sires Premiums will be paid in amounts determined by the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association and The Barbados Turf Club. In addition, Sale-Graduates Breeders Incentives will be paid to the registered breeders of the 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd -placed Sale-Graduates as follows: (1 st ) $880.00; (2 nd ) $480.00; (3 rd ) $ Sale-Graduates Sires Premiums will be paid at a rate of 40% of the Sale- Graduates Breeders Incentives. PREFERENCE TO START and NUMBER OF STARTERS The maximum number of starters shall be TWELVE. In the event that more than twelve horses are entered and/or declared to start, elimination will be in accordance with Regulation (i) and (ii) albeit non-sale-graduates shall be eliminated before Sale-Graduates. 15

10 THE SALE-GRADUATES SPRINT CUP (Handicap) (Barbados-bred 3YO+ About 5½ furlongs or 1100 metres) To be run on September 14, 2013 THE SALE-GRADUATES VASE (Handicap) (Barbados-bred 3YO+ About 10 furlongs or 2000 metres) To be run on September 14, 2013 PURSE/VALUE OF RACE To be determined. Open to THREE-YEAR-OLDS and OLDER in 2013, foaled in Barbados and registered as Barbados-bred. Preference for entry shall be given to BTBA Sale- Graduates (horses which have either passed through an associated BTBA sale, or have qualified via payment of the Eligibility Fee by the applicable deadline for its age-group). 11 THE SALE-GRADUATES CHAMPION STAKES (CR) (Barbados-bred 3, 4 AND 5YO - About 7.8 furlongs or 1570 metres) To be run on September 14, 2013 PURSE/VALUE OF RACE Minimum Guaranteed (For Sale-Graduates Only) - $25,000 (For Non-Sale-Graduates Only) - $13,000 Open to THREE, FOUR and FIVE-YEAR-OLDS in 2013 foaled in Barbados and registered as Barbados-bred. Preference for entry will be given first to BTBA Sale- Graduates (that is, horses which have either passed through a participating and associated BTBA Sale as either sold or unsold Lots, or horses for which the required Eligibility Fee has been paid by the prescribed deadline in order to forego passage through the sale ring). 4YO and Older - 128lbs 3YO - 122lbs Fillies and Mares will receive a Sex Allowance of 5lbs from Colts and Geldings. There will be NO MAIDEN ALLOWANCE. This race is one of the incentives proposed in the Terms & Conditions of the Sale. Therefore, there is an additional $5,000 Bonus payable to any Sale- Graduate winner of this race which qualifies for this incentive, by virtue of being legitimately purchased in an associated BTBA Sale. IMPORTANT NOTES BTBA SALE-GRADUATE RACES Please see Appendix I for the appropriate list of Sale-Graduates. PURSE DISTRIBUTION All Sale-Graduates will be eligible for the full purse. However, non-sale- Graduates are only eligible for the portion of the purse contributed by the Barbados Turf Club. Prize money for Non-Sale-Graduates will be distributed by the Barbados Turf Club as set out as follows: (1 st ) 55% (2 nd ) 23% (3 rd ) 14% (4 th ) 8% Sale-Graduate prize money will be distributed by The Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association as set out below: (1 st ) 55% (2 nd ) 22% (3 rd ) 12% (4 th ) 6.5% (5 th ) 4.5% There will be a required Entry Fee of 2.5% of the first prize, which is nonrefundable except for a horse eliminated as a result of excess entries. The schedule for the proposed Sale-Graduate races to be run, and all applicable conditions herein stipulated are subject to the clause that if due to financial or other unforeseen circumstances all or any of the races cannot be staged (or a specific condition met), then any other schedule or condition or determination will be at the sole discretion of the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association without any liability whatsoever to the Barbados Turf Club or the Barbados Thoroughbred Breeders Association.
