Mossman s fifth dam Alassio, by the Nearco son Dante from Sun Princess is a three quarter sister to the great sire Royal Charger (by Nearco himself, from Sun Princess), the founder of the Turn-To male line which is a sex balanced linebreeding subject in this pedigree via Sir Ivor (his son Sir Tristram the damsire of Spinning Star, and daughter Minnie Hauk ancestress of Spinning World). This is reinforced by a valuable line to a top class Royal Charger daughter (Gay Hostess, the dam of Majestic Prince also carried by Spinning Star) and accompanied by multiple duplications of Royal Charger s three quarter brother Nasrullah, by Nearco from Mumtaz Begum herself. The Nasrullah sons Nantallah, Never Bend and Bold Ruler are all carried by Spinning Star. As with Mossman s tail female line to Mumtaz Begum, this family connection to Northern Dancer through Spinning Star strongly reinforces the duplications of that individual and his sons. Still further boosting is evidenced by the presence of the sire Great Nephew carried by the second dam of Mossman his grand dam Sybil s Sister (by Nearco from Sister Sarah) is a three quarter sister to Nearctic, the sire of Northern Dancer (by Nearco from Lady Angela, a daughter of Hyperion and Sister Sarah- the family of PRETTY POLLY) This is also the family of the stallions Luthier and Donatello, sire of Alycidon ( both individuals carried by Mossman s damsire Twig Moss) and of Sind, the damsire of Worden carried by Mossman s second dam - giving Mossman four distaff lines in all to Nearctic s family, via three very influential sons. My Babu is by Djebel from the mare Perfume, tracing to Marchetta and sired by Badruddin, a son of Mumtaz Mahal and thus a relative of Nasrullah, Royal Charger and Mossman. * Djebel s sire Tourbillon (Klairon s male line also) appears on the tail female line of Spinning Star via Cornish Prince. Cornish Prince, Never Bend s dam Lalun (both in Spinning Star) and Speak John ( the great grandsire of Mossman) are key individuals in this pedigree creating unity and balance.

4 Cornish Prince is is a member of the La Troienne family his third dam by Tourbillon from Adargatis, a mare by the Teddy son Asterus from Helene De Troie - the dam of La Troienne. Thus his ancestress Adargatis is a three quarter sister to La Troienne. Lalun is by Tourbillon s male line representative Djeddah (by Djebel, who carries a Teddy daughter as his second dam). Djeddah is the son of another Asterus daughter, while Lalun s dam was sired by Bimelech, one of La Troienne s great sons. Speak John was foaled by the mare Nuit De Folies, a daughter of the sire Tornado by Tourbillon, from Folle Nuit a daughter of the Asterus son Astrophel. Tourbillon s sire Ksar is inbred to the sire Upas, who hails from the family of Lalun. The sire Colin carried by To Market on the damline of Spinning Star and also on the damline of her sire Spinning World, is a member of this tribe. The sire Worden carried by Mossman s dam is a relative of Tourbillon. * The Teddy influence is especially powerful in this pedigree, because Spinning Star traces in tail female line to the mare Stop On Red (her fourth dam), who carries the full brothers and Teddy sons Sir Gallahad (via her sire To Market) and Bull Dog (the sire of her ancestress Lady Beware), both foaled by the matriarch Plucky Liege (additionally, their half brother Admiral Drake is the damsire of Turn-To) Both sire and dam of Success Express (sire of Mossman) have Sir Gallahad on the damline, while Dancing Champ (his damsire) is by Nijinsky (carrying the Bull Dog grandson Bull Lea and the Sir Gallahad son Gallant Fox) from a mare by Tom Fool (son of a Bull Dog Mare). An interesting pattern is created in this pedigree by the meeting of the full brothers and Sir Gallahad grandsons Flares ( Gallant Fox x Flambino), the damsire of Nantallah carried by Nureyev, and Omaha, who sired Nijinsky s ancestress Flaring Top. Nantallah is inbred to Sir Gallahad while Spinning World s damsire Riverman is an especially rich source of the blood, carrying sex balanced inbreeding to Teddy x 3 via Never Bend s dam Lalun and also lines to Sir Gallahad and Sun Teddy through his dam. Spinning World carries the Northern Dancer son Northfields (foaled by the mare Little Hut, by Bull Dog s son Occupy) and his ancestress Best In Show is from a daughter of the fine sire Mr Busher, a La Troienne family member. Lastly, inbreeding subject Sir Ivor carries the Sir Gallahad daughter Motto, and as mentioned the sire Cornish Prince carried by Spinning Star features as his third dam a three quarter sister to Teddy s great daughter LaTroienne - while another Teddy daughter Assignation is ancestress of Sir Gaylord s dam Somethingroyal. * Mossman s sire Success Express is one of the best representatives of the Princequillo male line, and is a high class conduit for the continuing manifestation of its genetic strength. Princequillo is a sex balanced linebreeding subject in this pedigree via two lines to his excellent son Prince John (also sex balanced, as great grandsire of Success Express and damsire of Riverman, carried by Spinning World) and through his Blue Hen daughter Somethingroyal, the dam of Sir Gaylord, also duplicated.
