1 Kansas Pinto Year End Award Rules To participate in the Kansas Pinto Awards Program you must meet the following requirements: a. Horse must be Registered with the Pinto Horse Association of America Inc, and be properly nominated with Kansas Pinto. Prior to showing your first point class and this may be done by anyone. b. Owner of the horse and the exhibitor must be members and in good standing with both PtHA and Kansas Pinto. Prior to showing your first point class. c. ***The only exceptions to rules a & b are for Leadline, Walk-Whoa, & Walk-Trot Riders. These 3 classes are NON- ROM and are not pointed by PtHA. You may show any breed in these 3 classes. The horse must be properly nominated and the rider must be a PtHA & Ks Pinto Member. You must still meet the remainder of the requirements below. d. Nominees must be judged under at least THREE (3) Pinto Judges (National Pinto Point Show) Points from KSHA Hosted Horse Shows will count for KS Pinto Year Ends Awards Program as well, Those classes are marked with a P after the KSHA class that counts for KS Pinto Points. e. EACH class the nominee shows in must be judged by the above mentioned 3 judge combination or more, for points to count. f. Youth, Amateur and Novice Amateur points are based on the horse/rider combination. g. In open classes the points will stay with the horse no matter who showed the horse or who owns the horse as long as the owner and exhibitor are both current members of both PtHA and Ks Pinto. h. Ties will be broken by the # of judges shown under and then by the most First place wins, Second place wins and so on. i.
