1 Year 2007 Catalogue of Goods EREIN WE PRESENT TOY SOLDIERS of remarkable quality and historical interest, manufactured of the finest materials & most painstakingly executed. Our Models are finished in the distinctive style of Mr. William Britain, Junr. of London, England. Although formed of solidcast tin rather than the hollow-cast metal for which Mr. Britain is justly renowned, it may be said that in both general & detailed appearance our Goods most faithfully recollect the character of those they seek to emulate. We call our customer's particular attention to the correctness of proportion & pose, the trueness of colouring & application of paintwork, the exactness of jointure & assemblage, the authenticity of grouping, presentation & boxing. It should also be noted that, like those of our predecessor, our Goods are to be enjoyed as toys: our artillery pieces fire, our limbers roll, our arms move, etc. But also be assured that our Models are unique & original & in no way may be considered facsimiles. Quite the contrary; for whilst choosing the same language, as it were, we wish above all to say that which Mr. Britain has left unsaid. Nor are selections for representation made in an haphazard manner. Careful consideration has been taken to include subjects of individual historical note which, owing to singularity, innovation, renown or like characteristics attract attention to themselves. But even beyond this, each season a range of groupings is made, related in theme, so as to present a lively & picturesque tableau of the subject undertaken. In previous years we have been pleased to place before our Public examples of the great military events of the Victorian Age. More recently extensive ranges of models from the American Revolution, Buffalo Bill's Wild West, the War of 1812 and now, in our 20th year, the Mexican-American Wars have been added. 31 Ordering & Particulars Pricing, ordering and payment At present most sets are made to order. A receipt and shipping date is sent when the order is received. A 1 to 2 month back order period should be anticipated. Some "in stock" sets may be available on our web site at wmhocker.com/stock.htm. Prices in this catalog are effective through the year of the catalog date. There are no price discounts. Tax: Californians add 8% sales tax. Shipping: To the USA: $5 per set. To Canada: add the greater of $10 or 8% of the amount ordered (excluding tax). Elsewhere: add the greater of $30 or 15% of the amount ordered. All US orders are sent priority mail. International orders are sent air parcel post insured and declared for their full value. Payment: Payment should be made at the time of ordering. For US orders include personal check or money order when ordering. Credit card payments (MC, Visa and Discover only) may be acceptable in hardship situations. For foreign orders include when ordering: (1) foreign bank draught or personal check drawn on US bank in US$, (2) international postal money order in US$ or (3) credit card info (MC, Visa and Discover only). Checks or money orders should be made payable to Wm. Hocker. Set numbering and composition All sets are numbered consecutively when introduced into the Wm. Hocker line. In addition, each set is given a number at the time of sale to mark that particular set. Thus, Set 3/61 indicates this to be the 61st of set # 3 to be sold. Set compositions and paint schemes may be modified over time. Special orders Companion sets (e.g.: 5 troopers instead of the typical 4 troopers and officer) or additional matching figures for any set already ordered may be special ordered. The cost is $22 per infantry figure and $35 per cavalry figure. Include an existing figure when ordering if exact paint matching is necessary. No other special paintings or compositions can be undertaken. Castings, individual guns and individual figures are not for sale. Questions?
