3 2.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING The Series Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Organisers Accreditation will be required from Wednesday 4 th October Each entry will be allocated 4 VIP car parking passes to park in the Harris Park car park located in front of the general admission car park. All other Team vehicles will be permitted to park in the general admission car park Each caterer will be allocated 1 transit car pass for delivery purposes only. Cars with this pass must park in the general admission car park. Any vehicles in the paddock will be towed. CHAPTER 3 - TECHNICAL 3.1 SCRUTINEERING Scrutineering will commence at 0730 on Thursday 5 th October BRAKE SYSTEM Further to the table 5. 5 Channel Name (Alias) Units Logging Rate (Hz) Ground Speed kilometre/hour km/h 100 Lap Beacon 1 Lap Distance metre m 10 Super Soft Tyre 1 Steered Angle degree 100 Throttle Pos percent % 100 Wet Tyre 1 CHAPTER 4 - SPORTING 4.1 CARS TO CARRY VIDEO RECORDERS Further to Rule B3.2.12, SD cards must be cleared and reformatted prior to the 30- minute signal for race 20 on Sunday 8 th October 2017, however, must not be cleared prior to 30 minutes after the completion of Sunday s warm up, without written permission from the S&TD. 4.2 DRIVER CONDITIONS POLICY In accordance with Rule D3.8.4, the nearest Town or City to the Circuit, as listed by the Bureau of Meteorology is Bathurst. 4.3 PRACTICE All Drivers are permitted to drive in practice part 1, 3, 5 and Only co-drivers are permitted to drive in practice part 2 and The Stewards may, in their absolute discretion, order that a Driver who has not completed a suitable number of laps in practice part 1, 2 or 3 combined, be required to drive the Car in another Session/s as the Stewards see fit The use of refuelling towers is permitted during practice part 6 and parallel parking is mandatory during this Session. 4.4 STARTING PROCEDURE Delete Rules D9.1.1, D9.1.2 and D9.1.3 and replace with the following: Thirty Forty minutes: When 3 40 minutes remain before the formation lap, a warning will be sounded. At this time all Cars must be in their Pit Bays at an angle of 45 degrees with the nose of the Car pointing toward pit exit Twenty Thirty-Five minutes: When 2 35 minutes remain before the formation lap a warning will be sounded, pit exit will open and the Cars will leave their Pit Bay for 1 reconnaissance lap, at the end of which each Car must stop on their allocated grid positions, and pit crew may then approach the Cars for final preparation. At the end of the reconnaissance lap and when approaching the back of the grid, all Cars must keep their engine running until it has stopped in its respective grid position. Cars must exit Pit Lane in Pit Garage order. A Car will not be permitted to move out of its Pit Bay until the previous Car has wholly entered the fast lane unless the previous Car has an obvious problem and cannot exit its Pit Bay. Any such Car will be required to remain in its Pit Bay until the last Car in Pit Garage order has entered the fast lane and passed it to exit Pit Lane. An audible warning will sound 2 minutes before the closure of the Pit Lane exit. Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Supplementary Regulations Page 5 of 13

6 9.1.3 Fifteen Twenty-Five minutes: When 1 25 minutes remain before the formation lap, a warning will be sounded: the Pit Lane exit will be closed at this time. Cars qualified to start but which have not exited the Pit Lane may be permitted to start the race from the Pit Lane exit, pursuant to Rule DError! Reference source not found.. Cars starting from Pit Lane exit must not stop at Pit Lane exit until this time. 4.5 PIT LANE PROTOCOL Cars must traverse the Pit Lane wholly within the fast lane and must not traverse the working lane save to enter or exit their own Pit Bay, and then only within 2 Pit Bays of their Pit Bay. 4.6 TYRES In addition to Rule D18.1.9, Teams are permitted to scrape the shoulders of tyres to inspect for damage to a maximum of 50mm from the inner edge Delete Rule D and replace with the following: In addition to a Team s Supercars Test tyre allocation and those listed in the Table DError! Reference source not found. all VCS Cars are permitted one set of four (4) pre marked soft compound tyres for the Championship year for the sole purpose of warming up a Car only at an Event, including qualifying. These tyres are also permitted to be used for a True Colour Track Walk session. For this Event, Teams are permitted to select a set of four (4) warm up tyres after practice part 3. These tyres are only to be used for the sole purpose of warming up a Car, and are permitted to be used in qualifying. These tyres must be used as a set of four (4) Delete the TABLE 1 VCS Tyres in Rule D and replace with the following: Circuit Additional Driver Pre-Marked All Drivers 2016 Hard Event Allocation 4.7 APPAREL GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PIT CREW Further to Rule D22.3.5, for the duration of Sessions when the use of refuelling towers is permitted, all personnel in the front 50% of the Pit Garage that opens onto Pit Lane, must be wearing long pants. Soft Super Soft Mt Panorama 0 16S 2016 Hard Wet CHAPTER 5 - OPERATIONS 5.1 ACCESS TO PADDOCK The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of Supercars Transporters (including prime movers) must only be parked in the paddock Transporters must not enter the Circuit before 1600 on Monday 2 nd October Transporter park up on Monday 2 nd October 2017 will only take place between 1600 and It will resume at 0830 on Tuesday 3 rd October Transporters must not be unloaded prior to 1000 on Tuesday 3 rd October Teams are not permitted to set up any equipment in their garage prior to transporter unload. 7 5.1.7 With the exception of 2.2.4, no passenger vehicles are to enter the Supercars paddock from 0830 on Tuesday 3 rd October Passenger vehicles with a transit pass will be permitted to enter the paddock on a short-term basis, but will be required to park in the general admission car park Approved and accredited Team motorhomes are not permitted to enter the paddock until after 1400 on Wednesday 4 th October Motorhomes that arrive at the Circuit prior to the time listed above, will be permitted to park in the support category car park on the outside of the Circuit, access off Ray Bant Drive Those vehicles with a transit pass can access the Supercars paddock by: If the Circuit is open: passing through the admission entry gates and reverse direction along Conrod Straight, then right into the paddock via the gate prior to the ARMOR ALL bridge. To avoid unnecessary delays, please use this entry where possible If the Circuit is closed: along Panorama Driver towards the Circuit. Once at the Panorama Drive roundabout, turn left and enter Gate 1, which passes through the Chase tunnel and into the paddock area. NOTE: The tunnel is 3.1 metres high by 2.7 metres wide Vehicles without a car pass will not be permitted entry. 5.2 RACE TRACK WALK Teams are permitted to undertake their Race Track walk on Wednesday 4 th October 2017 between 1200 and All Team personnel participating in the Race Track walk must wear a high visibility vest The Race Track will still be a public road at this time, so please keep to one side where possible. 5.3 BRIEFINGS A briefing for all Competitor s Team Managers will be held at 1745 on Wednesday 4 th October 2017 in the Briefing Room, located adjacent to the Scrutineering Bay in the Supercars paddock area A briefing for all Competitors and Drivers will be held at 1345 on Friday 6 th October 2017 in the Briefing Room, located adjacent to the Scrutineering Bay in the Supercars paddock area A Refuelling Safety Briefing will be held at 1730 on Friday 6 th October 2017 in the Briefing Room, located adjacent to the Scrutineering Bay in the Supercars paddock area. Attendance for the following Team personnel is compulsory for each Car: The refuelling hose operator The fire extinguisher operator The deadman handle operator The Team Manager Rules listed under D4.2 also apply for the Refuelling Safety Briefing. 5.4 TYRE FITTINGS Control tyre fitting will commence from 0900 on Wednesday 4 th October 2017 in the Dunlop garages located in the Supercars paddock. 8 5.5 TRANSPORTER DEPARTURE AFTER THE EVENT Unless otherwise advised by Supercars, no Team transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars paddock prior to 2 hours after the completion of race 20 on Sunday 8 th October TRANSPORTER PARADE The transporter parade will be held on Wednesday 4 th October Below is the basic outline of the parade: hrs: Transporters to begin arriving from Mount Panorama along Havannah Street, facing the Great Western Highway intersection for parade start. Stop at transporter marshalling point. Competition winners arrive at transporter marshalling point hrs: Competition winners to be in trucks. Police in position hrs: Parade commences along Great Western Highway (Kendal Avenue), continuing past Durham Street, turning left into William Street, continuing to Mount Panorama The right-hand lane of the highway will remain open to traffic throughout the parade, therefore, transporters must remain in the left-hand lane. CHAPTER 6 - MARKETING 6.1 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE Teams must adhere to the activities outlined in the promotional schedule and/or any subsequent updates as provided by Supercars On Sunday, prior to race 20, the Primary Driver and Co-Driver will be required at the front of the grid at GRID WALK Where permitted, movement of non-team personnel on and off the grid must only be via the point/s as described in the Competitor s Team Managers Briefing Promotional staff, Drivers and crew (up to 8 people per Car) are the only people permitted on the grid in addition to those that are wearing a grid sticker. CHAPTER 7 - SPECIFIC CIRCUIT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS 7.1 EVENT OPERATING HOURS The Event operating hours for the purpose of Rule D28 are as follows: Thursday 5 th October Friday 6 th October Saturday 7 th October Sunday 8 th October After race 20 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Supplementary Regulations Page 8 of 13

9 7.2 MEDICAL SERVICES The Medical Centre is located at pit entry and will be operational during the following times: Wednesday 4 th October Thursday 5 th October Friday 6 th October Saturday 7 th October Sunday 8 th October Any medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours outlined in 7.2.1, please contact 000. The address to give to Emergency Services is: Your Specific Location Eg: Garage 1, Pit Complex, Pit Straight, Mount Panorama, Bathurst NSW. 7.3 PADDOCK MANAGER The paddock manager for this Event is: Name: Jason Routley 7.4 SITE SAFETY ADVISOR The site safety advisor for this Event is: Name: Kathryn Lee 7.5 WASTE PRODUCTS All personnel must be made aware of the fact the NO waste of any nature may be tipped into the storm water drains located with the support compound All storm water drains lead directly to the Macquarie River and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be monitoring the situation in the lead up and throughout the Event This ban includes the washing of any wheel rims within the vicinity of storm water drains Competitors are advised that the EPA is taking an extremely proactive approach to this matter and Teams are put on notice that any infringement of this directive will result in action being taken by either the Promoter or the EPA or both. The EPA has the ability to prosecute offenders with heavy penalties The Promoter has provided an area for disposal of waste oil and/or fluid products that are located near the Circuit fuel dump. This is not for the disposal of used Car parts (i.e. oil filters etc.). 7.6 TRUCK WASHING Transporters must not be washed in the paddock.
