Only Event issued car passes will be accepted Each entry will be allocated 4 passes for CP5 (Teams Car Park) located behind the support paddock garages. 3 2.2.5 Each Team caterer will be allocated 1 CP5 car pass and will be permitted to enter the paddock for the sole purpose of delivering supplies. These cars must not park in the paddock, but in CP5 (Teams Car Park) No cars are to be parked in the Supercars Paddock from Friday 16 th to Sunday 18 th June All Series Accreditation, including all Event issued sport accreditation and all Event issued car passes (CP2, CP3, CP4, CP5, CP6, CP7), must use Entrance B (via Marlow Road) to access the Event during the following hours: Friday 16 th June Saturday 17 th June Sunday 18 th June Outside of these hours access is via the Security Checkpoint at Entrance A. CHAPTER 3 - TECHNICAL 3.1 SCRUTINEERING Scrutineering will commence at 0730 on Friday 16 th June MINIMUM WEIGHT In accordance with the requirements of Rule C4.1.1, all Wildcard Entry Drivers that have not competed in a race of the 2017 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, will be required for weighing by Supercars Officials at 1130 on Friday 16 th June 2017, in the scales garage. 3.3 TELEMETRY Delete Schedule C1 Table 11. 5 Channel Name (Alias) Units Logging Rate (Hz) Throttle Pos percent % 100 Wet Tyre 1 CHAPTER 4 - SPORTING 4.1 DRIVER CONDITIONS POLICY In accordance with Rule D3.8.4, the nearest Town or City to the Circuit, as listed by the Bureau of Meteorology is Berrimah. 4.2 PIT LANE PROTOCOL Cars must traverse the Pit Lane wholly within the fast lane and must not traverse the working lane save to enter or exit their own Pit Bay, and then only within 2 Pit Bays of their Pit Bay. 4.3 COMPULSORY PIT STOPS Delete Rule D and replace with the following: For race 11 the following will apply in addition to Rule D12.1: Each Car must complete 1 Compulsory Pit Stop (CPS) A Car may only complete its CPS after the leader commences lap If the leader commences lap 5 by exiting Pit Lane after completing a pit stop as detailed below, it will be considered to have completed its CPS During the CPS it is a requirement of each Car to stop in their Pit Bay and change a minimum of 2 tyres. The tyres removed cannot be refitted to the Car during that stop The Penalty for failure to complete a CPS will be a time Penalty added to that Car s race time Should the safety car be deployed prior to the leader commencing lap 5, and the safety car period continues after the commencement of lap 5, the CPS window will not open. Teams will be updated as to when the window will open via RMC and the LAN If a Car enters the Pit Lane entry road at the end of its fourth lap under green conditions and a safety car is deployed prior to them crossing the Control Line, they will be considered to have satisfied provided they have completed that set out in TYRES In addition to Rule D18.1.9, Teams are permitted to scrape the shoulders of tyres to inspect for damage to a maximum of 50mm from the inner edge. CHAPTER 5 - OPERATIONS 5.1 ACCESS TO PADDOCK The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of Supercars Supercars Transporters must not enter the Circuit before Tuesday 13 th June 2017 and must park at the top of the hill after reporting to the NT Major Events Company Site Office, located immediately after the security checkpoint. 6 5.1.3 Transporters must not enter the Supercars Paddock before 1600 on Tuesday 13 th June Transporter unload may commence at 0830 on Wednesday 14 th June RACE TRACK WALK Teams are permitted to undertake their Race Track walk on Thursday 15 th June All Team personnel participating in the Race Track walk must wear a high visibility vest. 5.3 BRIEFINGS A briefing for all Competitor s Team Managers will be held at 1630 on Thursday 15 th June 2017 in the Media Briefing Area located adjacent to the Paddock Offices A briefing for all Competitors and Drivers will be held at 1745 on Friday 16 th June 2017 in the Media Briefing Area located adjacent to the Paddock Offices. 5.4 TYRE FITTINGS Control tyre fitting will commence from 0900 on Thursday 15 th June 2017 in the Dunlop garages located in the Supercars paddock. 5.5 TRANSPORTER DEPARTURE AFTER THE EVENT Unless otherwise advised by Supercars, no Team transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars paddock prior to 1730 hours on Sunday 18 th June Transporters must depart via Entrance B (Marlow Road to Tiger Brennan Drive). Transporters are only permitted to depart through Entrance A after 2100 hours. CHAPTER 6 - MARKETING 6.1 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE Teams must adhere to the activities outlined in the promotional schedule and/or any subsequent updates as provided by Supercars. 6.2 GRID WALK Where permitted, movement of non-team personnel on and off the grid must only be via the point/s as described in the Competitor s Team Managers Briefing Promotional staff, Drivers and those listed on the D24 personnel list are the only people permitted on the grid in addition to those that are wearing a grid sticker. 6.3 TRANSPORTER PARADE The transporter parade will be held on Thursday 15 th June All Teams are required to take a minimum of their B trailers on the transporter parade. Those Teams that have an A trailer are encouraged to take both trailers on the transporter parade All transporters are to assemble in the pit paddock area at Hidden Valley Raceway The details for the convoy are as follows: hrs: All vehicles must have arrived at Hidden Valley Raceway hrs: All drivers ready for a driver briefing to be held adjacent to the Supercars Operations Transporter in the pit paddock. Convoy to be escorted by the police to the Darwin CBD before arriving in Knuckey Street hrs: Arrive in CBD hrs: Proceed to Hidden Valley Raceway hrs: Arrive at Hidden Valley Raceway Below is the route for the parade: 1210hrs: Depart Hidden Valley Road Left Stuart Highway Daly Street Left Mitchell Street 1230hrs: Left Knuckey Street Right McMinn Street Left Tiger Brennan Drive 1300hrs Hidden Valley Raceway The convoy will be stopped adjacent to the Smith Street Mall on Knuckey Street. The Chief Minister (or representative) will pass an NT Flag to the driver of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship transporter. The convoy will then proceed through Knuckey Street en route to Hidden Valley Raceway. CHAPTER 7 - SPECIFIC CIRCUIT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS 7.1 EVENT OPERATING HOURS The Event operating hours for the purpose of Rule D28 are as follows: Friday 16 th June Saturday 17 th June 0840 After race Sunday 18 th June MEDICAL SERVICES The Medical Centre is located on the far side of the marshalling area near the TV compound and will be operational during the following times: Friday 16 th June Saturday 17 th June Sunday 18 th June Any medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours outlined in 7.2.1, please contact 000. 8 7.5 SITE SAFETY ADVISOR The site safety advisor for this Event is: Name: Tony Morphett 7.6 TRUCK WASHING Truck wash downs cannot take place in the Supercars pit paddock area or at the Circuit Teams are able to wash-down their trucks at the Territory Transit Bus Depot, Cnr Armidale and Illiffe Streets, Stuart Park The facility will be available on Tuesday 13 th and Wednesday 14 th June from Teams are asked to make a $20 donation for the use of the facility, which will be donated to a charity nominated by the bus drivers Please note that an induction will need to be undertaken and high-vis to be worn. 7.7 EVENT SERVICE PROVIDERS It is the Team s responsibility to ensure any service providers/contractors they engage who are not an endorsed supplier, have the correct credentials to access the venue. 7.8 UNREGISTERED VEHICLES/GOLF BUGGIES/QUAD BIKES All vehicles, including golf buggies and quad bikes must be registered and meet roadworthy requirements Any vehicles/golf buggies/quad bikes not registered will need to apply for temporary registration (fees apply) issued through Northern Territory s Department of Transport s Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR). 7.9 ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT All leads and equipment must meet Australian Standard 3760 relating to the testing and tagging of all equipment FIRE EXTINGUISHERS The servicing of portable units before being brought onsite is to comply with Australian Standards PITS AND PADDOCK For this Event, delete Rule E and replace with the following: E Any such lead must be positioned above the ground must be placed at a minimum height to the maximum height of the transporter of 6 meters measured from the highest ground level of the distance the lead extends.
