The following information has been designed to assist your National Federation in its attendance to this event. Covering 61 acres of land and located on the Dubai Bypass Road, the complex is the largest sporting facility in the city and has seating for 15,000 spectators. It boasts two 50-metre pools, both with moveable floors to allow conversion to 25-metre pools, catering for long or short course events, as well as a diving pool. In a city already full of superlatives, the building s striking architecture will ensure global recognition of the venue as a memorable and iconic facility in Dubai not only for Olympic standard swimming and diving events but also as a truly world class multi-sports arena. The completion of the venue, which also boasts fifteen hospitality boxes, six hospitality suites, the Royal Box, a Ladies Box, a 60-seater media conference room and a media centre with space

4 for 194 journalists, is a source of great satisfaction to the Dubai Municipality and the Dubai Sports Council. ATHLETE MEDICAL SERVICES First aid will be available at the competition venue during training and competition for divers. The designated hospital will be: Rashid Hospital Oud Metha Street Bur Dubai P.O. A doctor will be onsite at the venue during competition times to provide medical treatment. Ice will be available at the competition venue for the treatment of injuries. DIVERS AND TEAM OFFICIALS SEATING Those divers that are competing in the event taking place will only be allowed on poolside. An area on the pool deck will also be provided for divers and team officials. SPORT INFORMATION DESK The Sport Information Desk will be located at the athlete s entrance to the pool. This desk will be a primary information distribution point for competition information. ACCREDITATION DESK The Accreditation Desk will be located in the Main Entrance of the Hamdan Sports Complex and will be open from 17th March Accreditation must be submitted online through the dedicated Online Platform for all that participating National Federations. OC will send a Link with Username & Password to upload all the data on the Online System by 20th February 2015.

5 All National Federations participating should send to the OC by a passport size photo for each team member participating in jpeg format, just for reference. RULES The FINA/NVC Diving World Series will be conducted under FINA rules. JUDGES Scoring: For the individual competitions, scoring will be in accordance with FINA Diving Rules For the synchronized competitions there shall be 9 judges, comprising 4 execution judges and 5 synchronization judges. The scoring will be in accordance with FINA Diving Rules PRIZE MONEY Each Event: The HMF/OC shall provide and pay prize money to a total of US$ at each Event to be divided between all of the 10 individual and synchro events, as follows: 1 st place: US$ nd place: US$ rd place: US$3 000 Sub-Total Total x 10events = US$ US$ Overall Prize Money: FINA shall pay the overall prize money of USD to be divided between all of the 10 individual and synchro events, as follows: 1 st place: USD nd place: USD rd place USD th place USD th place USD th place USD Sub-Total USD Total x 10 Events=USD

6 A diver participating in an Individual Event is entitled to the overall prize money only if he/she takes part in all the meets of the Series. If a diver for reason of illness or injury is forced to withdraw part way through an event, the athlete will be deemed participated and will still be eligible for the prize pot as long as they participate in the remaining legs. For synchronized events, overall prize money will be paid only if a national federation s team takes part in all the meets of the Series VISA INFORMATION The UAE Swimming Federation will provide an entry visa to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for all the participants of the World Series. Visa requirements for entering UAE vary for different nationalities and it is always advised to check regulations before travelling. Currently, every nationality entering the UAE needs a visa except citizens of GCC countries (Gulf Cooperation Council: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia), expatriate residents of the GCC (certain nationalities and professions) and citizens from countries mentioned in the chart below. Please note that the passport needs to be valid for at least 6 (six) months from the date of entering the UAE. Visa applications will be accepted no later than by February 20th 2015 and will be processed only for approved and accredited participants.

7 TRANSPORTATION Transport will be provided free of charge between 16 th 22 rd March for all divers and team support staff who submit their flight information no later than 1 st of March Official Event Airport is Dubai International Airport (DXB). Travel Information must be submitted online through the dedicated Online Platform for all that participating National Federations. OC will send to each participating NF a Link with Username & Password to upload all the data on the Online System by February 20th All Participating National Federations in the FINA/NVC DWS 2015 should send to the OC on uaeswimmingfederation@gmail.com the completed forms enclosed, for reference only. Transport will only be provided to those that submit their flight information by March the 1 st Detailed transport schedules will be provided at the Delegation Registration Meeting and will also be available at the information desk at your hotel ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS Divers and Team Officials: The OC will provide accommodation in 4-star hotel with full board (3 meals per day of adequate quantity and quality) for all the qualified divers and, for 1 team leader/coach for each of the other DWS host countries for up to 7 days and 7 nights.
