1 19 TH FINA DIVING WORLD CUP 2014 LETTER OF INVITATION Dear Sir or Madam, It s our great pleasure to invite your diving team to participate in the 19th FINA Diving World Cup. Please find below some useful information concerning the event: 1. Date and Place The event will be held from 15 to 20 July 2014 in Shanghai, China. 2. Venue and Facilities Competition will be held in the Outdoor Diving Pool (The Moon Bay) of the Oriental Sports Center. The diving pool consists of 3 1m boards, 3 3m boards, 10m, 7.5 m, 5m, 3m and 1m platforms, covered with Mondo non-slipped surface. Showers and Jacuzzi (3m 3m) are available. The dry-land training area is equipped with 2 boards, 2 trampolines, and several mats. 3. Events The FINA Diving World Cup comprises the following events for men and women: 3m Springboard, 10m Platform, Synchronized 3m Springboard, Synchronized 10m Platform, and Team Event. 4. Competition Format 3m Springboard and 10 m Platform in the individual events are run according to FINA rule D.2.3, i.e. the Olympic Format with preliminary competition comprising dives with free degree of difficulty, semi-finals for eighteen (18) divers comprising dives with free degree of difficulty and finals with twelve (12) divers with free degree of difficulty. The preliminary, semi-final, and final competitions are separate events, each starting from zero (0) points. Synchronized diving is run according to FINA Rule D 2.4 with preliminary competition and a final for the twelve (12) best teams Team Event shall be run as a direct final.

Team Trophies: Team trophies are awarded to the best men's team, the best women's team and the best combined team based on the placings in the individual and synchro events according to the following points system: 1st 40 pts 7 th 18 pts 13 th 6 pts 2nd 35 pts 8 th 16 pts 14 th 5 pts 3rd 31 pts 9 th 14 pts 15 th 4 pts 4th 27 pts 10 th 12 pts 16 th 3 pts 5th 24 pts 11 th 10 pts 17 th 2 pts 6th 21 pts 12 th 8 pts 18 th 1 pt 7. Participants: Each FINA Member Federation can enter two competitors for each individual event and one team for each synchro event. The team diving competition involves one female and one male diver from the same Federation. 8. Withdrawals: FINA Rule GR 7.2 will apply. 9. Officials: Any FINA Member Federation may nominate, at its own expense, one or two judges, whether or not it is entering divers. The nominated judges should be those included on the FINA Diving Judges List Federations entering four divers or more are obliged to enter one judge. No judge may work as a coach during the World Cup but can hold other positions within the team. The nomination must be made to the FINA Office and the China Swimming Association no later than 10 May 2014

Training The venue will be available for pre-competition training from 12 to 14 July Teams will be divided into groups for different training sessions according to the final entries received by the Organizing Committee. 11. Entries: Entries must be submitted to the FINA Office and to the China Swimming Association as follows: Preliminary team entry (and judges): 10 May 2014 Final team entry: 10 June 2014 Individual entries: 10 June Important Dates Arrival: 12 July 2014 Competition dates: 15 to 20 July 2014 Departure: 12:00am 21 July Official Hotel and Rate Official Hotel for both Teams and FINA officials: Shanghai East Asia Hotel (four-star rated) Address: No. 800, Lingling Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, China Tel: Shanghai Olympic Club Hotel (four-star rated) Address: No. 1800, Zhongshannan er Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, China The prices including full board and local transportation are: Single room: USD 220 per person/ day Double room: USD 180 per person/ day For each team between one (1) and five (5) competitors, the Organizing Committee (the OC) shall bear fifty per cent (50%) of the accommodation expenses of all the competitor(s) and for one (1) team official. The remaining fifty per cent (50%) shall be paid by the participating federation, who shall also be solely responsible for the accommodation costs of any additional team officials. For each team between six (6) and ten (10) competitors, the OC shall bear fifty per cent (50%) of the accommodation expenses of all the competitors and for up to two (2) team officials. The remaining fifty per cent (50%) shall be paid by the participating federation, who shall also be solely responsible for the accommodation costs of any additional team officials. For each team with eleven (11) or more competitors, the OC shall bear fifty per cent (50%) of the accommodation expenses of ten (10) competitors and for up to two (2) team officials. The remaining fifty per cent (50%) of the accommodation expenses for these twelve (12)

5 persons shall be paid by the participating federation, who shall also be solely responsible for the accommodation costs of any additional team members (competitors and team officials). A 50% deposit of the accommodation fees shall be preceded no later than May 20th, and the rest of the fees shall be placed before June 28th. Transportation The OC will provide airport transportation at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) and Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG). Arrival and departure from other airports will not be provided. Official Hotels both for Teams and FINA officials are about 20 minutes drive to the venue, and transportation will be duly arranged 15. Doping Control Doping control tests will be conducted according to FINA rules. 16. Medical Service During training and competition dates, lifeguards will be on site to provide first aid.
