15 Russia - Kazan 2 1 EXTRA PERSONS/ADDITIONAL DAYS 4.3 Extra persons/additional days According to the IHF Regulations, each team will be provided with 5 twin and 4 single rooms. A physiotherapist of each team will be accommodated in a room of a larger size in order to place there a massage table. Please highlight the name of a physiotherapist when sending a rooming list to the OC. The standard delegation size of a team is 14 persons. Federations are free to bring extra persons or to arrive earlier than the official arrival day (23 of July). The costs for extra persons and additional days shall be covered by the participants. The payment for extra persons or additional days shall be made in advance to the account of the HFR. Deadline for room requirements is no later than on 5 of July. 15

16 Russia - Kazan 2 1 SERVICES 4.4 Services Laundry service for teams At every hotel there is a laundry service available for the teams. Snacks Teams will have a coffee-break area (tee, coffee, pastry) at the hotels at all times. Ice Ice available for the teams at the hotels at all times. 16

17 FULL BOARD 4.5 Full board According to the Regulations, all teams have a right to 3 meals per day: Breakfast Lunch Dinner TO BE SERVED AS OPEN BUFFET Opening hours of the restaurants and the snack buffet will be provided in Team Info 2. The teams will be provided with a variety of food and drinks. Soft drinks will be available free of charge during meal times. On match days the teams will be provided with 1,5 liter of water per person; on training days the teams will receive 1 liter of water per person. On match days the teams are also entitled to have a snack before the match. If members of your delegation have some restrictions on food due to allergies, religion purposes or another reasons, please inform the OC no later than on 5 of July. 17

18 MEETING ROOMS 4.6 Meeting rooms All the team will have a right to use meeting rooms at the team hotels with a projector. 20 Russia - Kazan 2 1 INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE 5.1 International arrival/departure The official airport of arrival and departure during the 2018 Beach Handball World Championships is International airport Kazan (KZN). The official arrival day for the participating team is 23 of July. The official day of departure is the day after the finals, i.e. 30 of July. All teams have to book flight tickets on their own and are obliged to send their flight schedule to the OC and to the IHF no later than on 24 of June. Volunteers will meet the teams, escort them to the buses that will transfer teams to the hotels from the airport (when arriving) and from the airport to the hotel (when departing). 20

21 Russia - Kazan 2 1 LOCAL TRANSFERS 5.2 Local transfer During the Championship, a shuttle bus system will be introduced between the team hotels and the venue. More details about local transfer, shuttle schedule will be provided in Team Info 2 21

23 VISA 6.1 Visa The following teams DO NOT NEED the Russian visas: Argentina Brazil Paraguay Thailand Uruguay The rest of the teams HAVE TO APPLY FOR THE VISAS. Given the high summer season it is better to apply for visa way beforehand. The OC will assist you with the invitation letters. Please contact for visa invitation as soon as possible. Please note, that passports should be valid at least 6 moths after departure from Russia. For clarifying all details on visa application procedure and necessary documents please contact the Russian Embassy in your country. 23

29 WEATHER 7.2 Weather The average temperature in Kazan in July is about 20 C. Due to Kazan s inland position, the summers in the city are often hot and dry, but anyway you always should be prepared for rain. Temperatures in Russia are measured in Celsius degrees. 30 CURRENCY 7.3 Currency Official currency on the territory of Russia is the Russian Ruble. You can exchange currency of your country for the Rubles in banks departments and in ATMs. Your Team guide can advise you where it is better to make a currency exchange. 30
