3 INTRODUCTION TO THE CANADA CUP SERIES PRESENTED BY TOYO TIRES The Canada Cup Series presented by Toyo Tires, is our National Competition Circuit. It is designed primarily for athletes in the Learn & Train to Compete (L2C/T2C) in the Can Freestyle Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Stages. The purpose of Canada Cup Tour is as follows: To have a targeted, competitive and sustainable domestic circuit that FREESTYLE CANADA / PSO athletes can develop their competitive skills and coaches can create an effective yearly training plan around; To identify athletes in the High Performance Athlete Development stream. To prepare athletes for the next level of international competition such as Nor Ams and other targeted international events. To design each event to its appropriate LTAD stage and develop the athletes effectively; To further support venue development (training venues) in our member progams. To create a national ranking system targeting all Canadian non-national Program; (Next Gen / NextGen or World Cup Team) athletes at the T2T up to T2C LTAD stages for Moguls, Aerials Slopestyle and Halfpipe; To recognize the top ranked male and female athletes with an award, excluding National Team / NextGen / Institute program athletes Canada Cup Champions.

4 CANADA CUP TROPHY GENERAL RULES: All events will be sanctioned by FREESTYLE CANADA under their current insurance policies and officiated as per FREESTYLE CANADAs competition regulations. Eligible athletes will be awarded points as per their identified best performances with the Competition Placing Values as per their discipline, The male and female athletes with the highest cumulative points based on the below process by discipline, will each be awarded the Canada Cup trophy Canada Cup Trophies will be given out at the end of the year, to the top Male and Top Female of each discipline National Team Athletes are not eligible for the Canada Cup Trophy;

5 CANADA CUP WORKING GROUP RESPONSIBILITIES: The FREESTYLE CANADA High Performance Athlete Development Advisory Group (by discipline) will be responsible for the following tasks: Continuously assessing and developing this criteria FREESTYLE CANADA will select a few people within the association to work together to develop clear and accurate policies to operate a rankings program. The Director, High Performance Athlete Development is responsible for managing the rankings. Review accuracy and relative factors of the ranking system on an ongoing basis Communicate to the PSOs and coaches the criteria of the ranking system by November of each year. TIMELINES: Each Spring at the HPAD meeting, identify any potential changes in the Canada Cup Ranking proceedures.. November 15th: Communicate the updated criteria for the upcoming season.

Rankings will be updated after each event throughout the season NOTES: For spot allocation to the AFP World Tour Final, there may be a different ranking methodology used. The committee will give due notice to HPAD once AFP confirms the process. The Working Group reserves the right to adjust the event values if when the event happens if the field does not reflect the below values. Only placings in the top 75% of the field will receive points

Rankings will be updated after each event throughout the season VALUED EVENTS: SUM OF BEST 3 RESULTS ARE USED Canadian Nor Am Canadian Open Tour: Stoneham COT Calgary COT Jr Nationals NOTES: For spot allocation to the AFP World Tour Final, there may be a different ranking methodology used. 10 MOGULS CANADA CUP RANKING CRITERIA TARGETED ATHLETE: Learn to Compete, Train to Compete MOGUL VALUED EVENTS: SUM OF BEST 4 RESULTS ARE USED Canadian Selections x2 Canadian Series Events Canadian Championships (Sr) TIMELINES: The ranking period will normally be December 1 through the end of the current season which is normally March 30th. In some cases events may happen in April and in these cases will be use for rankings as they are part of the current competitive season. Rankings will be updated after each event throughout the season TIE BREAKER: CDN Championships Single event. INJURY CLAUSE Injury Clause will be used for Nor Am Quota Allocations. An athlete will be allowed to pull from the previous year's results and can only use the same number of competitions and type of competitions that were missed. E.G. if they missed the 2 Canadian Series, they can use only their 2 Canadian series results from the year before. Injury Clause will NOT be used for each year's Canada Cup Award. An athlete must be injured for at least 2 events before they can utilize the injury clause
