1 2015 Shooting Schedule General Scheduling: Thursday evening Matches: Matches will start promptly at 6:00pm, so please arrive at 5:30pm for set-up if at all possible. International Matches: Air Rifle, Air Pistol, Standard, Free and Center Fire/Sport Pistol, see schedule. Indoor range reserved from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Club meetings will be on the 3 rd Thursday of each month, after the match. Bench Rest: Shooters meet on Wednesdays each week at the outdoor range, 8am to 4pm, visitors welcome. Rifle range is not closed to others. Junior Air Gun Meeting & Practice: Wednesday evenings 7:00-8:30pm, October 22 rd to March 11 th at the indoor range. Indoor range reserved 6:30 to 9:00pm USPSA information and match descriptions can be found on the web site: NOTES: Target equipment consists of palm-rests, slings, shooting jackets, gloves, etc. Target equipment does not include safety equipment, shooting mat, or spotting scope. Start times are at the discretion of the range officer due to weather conditions. Matches are awarded Lewis or Standard points. Lewis points allow shooters of various skill levels an opportunity to place in our points system. Points are redeemed during our annual banquet in the form of raffle tickets..22 Rimfire counts for 90% of the score in the Centerfire NMC and 85 % for 40/44/45 NMC. Indoor Range: No magnum loads. No 17 HMR rounds. Lower indoor range traps are for 22LR only. Shoot only at targets that are in the traps openings at the indoor range. Targets must be at backstop no intermediate distances allowed. DO NOT shoot from in front of the defined firing line. Police your own brass Outdoor Range: Police your own brass If you bring your own targets and stands - take them home with you If you utilize club stands - put them away when you are finished There is no trash service - please clean up your own trash, i.e. plastic jugs Schedule Abbreviations: NMC NRA National Match Course. 4 April 2015, continued 23 April Thursday O Highpower Rifle Training Night The High Power Training night will cover the fundamentals of High Power taught by Kevin McDonald, who holds classifications of High Master in Long Range and Across the Course, part of the team that set one of the 1st National Records at the 100 yard course of fire, distinguished rifle and two time President s 100 member. The training will cover the following as well as items of interest: 1. Natural point of aim, dominant eye. 2. Positions (Offhand, Prone, Rapid Prone and Slow Prone) 3. Sling setup for sitting and prone shooting. 4. Preparation for rapid fire strings as well as loading and reloading during the rapid fire strings. The focus will be geared towards the shooting of the AR15, M1A, M1 Garand and the match rifle. However, any center fire rifle, bolt or semi-auto with a 5 shot magazine is acceptable.
