Practice makes you a better shooter and regular time at the range is the best way to achieve this. Why not join one of our numerous leagues or activities at our club? This helps schedule regular time at the range and challenges you to try something new. Remember all our events and leagues are open to the public. So bring a friend even if they are not a member. Why don t people join? Some feel intimidated because they are not as skilled as the people there. The leaders and competitors are always willing to help out a new person. I do not have the equipment. Bring what you have and usually someone is willing to lend you what you need until you are able to get your own. What Events and leagues do we have available? Shotgun: Trap league: League meeting is March 24 th at 11 AM. Don t have a team or want more information? Contact Jerry Oglesby Rifle: High Power rifle: First Match of the year is March 17 at 1:00. Learn how to shoot standing, sitting, and prone. Club has ammo for purchase and guns that can be borrowed. So all you need to start is show up with some money. Contact Chris Bach

2 Mauser Match: Uses any center fire rifle with open sights and any center fire rifle with peep sights designed before Matches run 2 nd Saturday of the month all year long. Next match is Match 10 starting at 9 AM. Contact Justin Howler Sporting Rifle: Rimfire rifle match shot every Monday afternoon Starting May 7 th. Contact Ross Baer Indoor Small Bore Rifle: 10m match shot with 22 s. Club has some 22 s that can be borrowed. Matches run through April are Mondays at 4 pm, Wednesdays at 11, and Saturdays at 8 am. Contact Ross Baer Centerfire and Rimfire Buffalo Match: Knock down steel at long range. Next Centerfire Match is April 1 at 9 am and next rimfire match is April 15 at 9 am. Contact Doug Dotson for info on rimfire or Kyle Mustain for centerfire Handgun / Bowling Pin: What can be more fun than trying to knock bowling pins off a table as fast as you can? Matches run all year long. You can use rimfire, centerfire, revolver or pistol. If you have a handgun you can participate. Next match is March 4 starting at 1 pm in the club house. Starting April Matches start at 9 am on range 5 on the 2 nd Saturday of the month. Bullseye: How accurate can you be with a pistol? This will challenge you to be your best. Shoot all year long both indoor and outdoor. Next match is March 15 at 7 pm in the clubhouse. Contact Scott Kirchner USPSA: Want to learn how to shoot fast and accurate? This is the event for you. Next Match is April 28 and 29. Contact Ethan Mooberry How about rifle, shotgun and handgun all at the same time? Cowboy action shooting and 3 Gun matches are what you are looking for. Next Cowboy match is Match 11 at 9 am. Next 3 gun Match is July 28 and 29. Contact Kory Rickett at for cowboy action. Contact Kip Jacobson Archery: Don t forget about our 3D archery matches to keep you sharp with your bow all summer. Next match is March 17. Contact Bill Schneckenburger Outdoor Work Party: The next work party will be on March 3,2018 at 8:00AM. We will be repair and replace targets, cleaning up trash and fallen tree limbs on all ranges (including archery range), weed whacking around property, burning brush piles if possible. Bring rakes, shovels, chain saws, weed whackers, and trailers. We will also need screw guns, saws and hammers to make/repair targets frame.

Work Hours Indoor Range Cleanup: Saturday, March 11, 9 AM, Indoor Range Cleanup only due to Hunter Ed Class upstairs. Questions Call Scott (309) with Indoor range questions APRIL 20 & 21, 2018, YSSI WEEKEND WORK HOUR CREDITS: The 17th Annual YSSI Weekend is set for April 20 & 21, Help will be needed on Saturday, the 21st, on all ranges (Indoor Rifle, Shotgun, Archery, High-Power Rife, Muzzleloading Rifle, Cowboy Action Pistol, Buffalo Rifle, USPSA, and in the Clubhouse & Kitchen. We will need 3 or 4 individuals to come in on Friday the 10 AM to help get the final food, other supplies, pick up ice in the early afternoon, and perform final setup needs. We will also need 3 or 4 very early risers to come in on the Saturday the 21st and start cooking breakfast at 4 AM so that we can be ready to feed everyone by 6:30 AM. The remaining kitchen staff needs to be here by 6 AM to help finish the cooking and to get everything out and ready to feed the participants. WORK HOUR CREDITS will be given to all volunteers who assist.
