The officers, board members, activity coordinators including Bridgette and others are working hard to improve our club. I would personally like to hear any comments or suggestions you might have. On the same note, to keep costs down our club depends on volunteers. We have numerous events coming up, and any help would be greatly appreciated even if you only have a few hours to spare. Last but not least, we always welcome new faces to the club. If you have any coworkers, family, friends (etc) that share the same interest as we do, tell them about us, and or bring them out for some fun. Thank You, Jay Bambrough, President jay425olds@yahoo.com Dick Malsch dickmalsch1@gmail.com

4 North Bristol Sportsman s Club 4 Member e News Membership Renewals The New Year is about to arrive and that means it s time to renew your membership. NBSC membership runs on a calendar year, January 1st to December 31st. The Membership renewal form is on the following page. You can, also, find a form on our website. That form is auto-fill, so you can fill out on your computer, print and mail-in with your membership dues. That method is preferred, as the typed info is much easier to read. Membership renewals are due by March 31st. Membership Director Tom Seasor The following is a review of the Pistol Range Orientation Range Layout: 1. The Pistol Range is a 50 Meter Range with eight (8) shooting stations. The fence posts along the sides of the range are at +/- 10 yard intervals. 2. The range is open to Members who have completed the Orientation, from 9:00 am to sunset, except on days that special events are scheduled. 3. The Gate should remain closed while shooting and should be locked by the last person leaving the range, unless the 200 Meter (Rifle) Range is open. 4. Signs are posted governing Member conduct. 5. Parking: there is no parking in the driveway by shooters or guests; driveway parking is for Active Range Safety Officers (RSOs) only. 6. Sigh in/out: Members and guests must sign in and provide all required information on the sign-in sheets located in the mail box (with one name per line). prior to shooting and sign out, when finished 7. Firing Line: the Firing Line is designated by Railroad ties and there is no shooting forward of the Firing Line. All shooting must be conducted from the firing line. Range Directors or Range Safety Officers may modify this requirement during supervised special events. 8. There are four (4) shooting benches for each two lanes and are moveable. Keep them at the line. 9. Target Standards: Shooters must use only the target standards provided. Alternate targets may be used, but only with the approval of a Range Director or Range Safety Officer. Standards can be moved by pulling them with the use of the steel hook on the range. Paper targets only, except during special events.

9 North Bristol Sportsman s Club 9 Range News Pistol Range Orientations Any Member that has not maintained continuous Membership or the continuous payment of the Range Maintenance Fee (RMF) must re-take the Orientation when reactivating same to continue with the use of the Pistol Range. The Member when returning, will be considered a new member and not a renewing member. The reason for this, is that over time the Orientation has changed and been updated. New Web Page Design is on they way

10 North Bristol Sportsman s Club 10 Monthly Drawing Volunteers are the key to every event and activity that takes place at the club. Their contributions come in all forms, from maintenance and repairs to cooking and serving as RSOs. To recognize the importance of volunteer time, the club does a drawing at each monthly meeting. The names of two or more volunteers, who s put in at least 4 hours of time in the previous month, will be randomly drawn to win prizes. This is just a small way of saying thanks for everything you do. The Board Members News Looking for help? Maybe we can be of assistance Periodically Members contact our Membership Director (Tom Seasor) seeking names of Members that could assist in teaching: Trap, Skeet, Hand Gun, Archery. There may or may not be a financial charge. Bring a pair of gloves, any tools you might think will be useful and a few bottles of water. A few weed wackers and brush cutters would also be very helpful. These work days always involve a lot of laughs and horsing around, so bring a smile too Smitty s Guns 575 London Rd. Deerfield, WI Mon. Thru Fri. 8:00am - 6:00pm Saturday s 8:00am - 4:00pm

11 North Bristol Sportsman s Club 11 R3 R a n d o m R a n g e R a n t s Now it s Spring!!!! All kinds of shooting going on. Skeet on Thursdays, Trap starting soon on Monday and Wednesday. Events to attend and participate in. WOW, how can we do it all. Plus, Easter Eggs to find soon, one last bunch of Smelt to devour. April is a good month. Except we lost a couple more old friends recently, members of our club, and other clubs that some of us frequent. Although we lose some old friends, we continue to gain new ones at the club, and have some young shooters that enjoy the club too. Lots of fun stuff coming up soon. The Ping, Ping, Ping of ringing steel, caused by the Rimfire Shooting will soon fill the air. Get down and watch, and join the fun when you can. Rifle shooting is getting more active, and with the expanded hours, we get more new faces hanging around. Don t forget to say Hi and make them feel welcome. Remember, us Gun Club Members really are nice folks! Try to show that side to the strangers. The last Smelt fry is in the works, the first 3 went really well, and the new recruits are doing a great job fitting in and making it work. This one will be a challenge, Many of the old reliable folks, that have helped for years, have conflicts, and medical issues that will keep them from helping out. Jump in and be that guy for this next event. Learn the tricks of the trade in high volume Smelt production, and have a great time at the club. It s always a great experience to help, hang out and see all the folks that come out to enjoy our club, great food, and support us as members. These events keep the club going and make it an important part of the community. Do what you can to help. Watch for announcements and dates to participate, help and shoot or just hang out with some great folks. The Website and social media information is all being upgraded, expanded and hopefully will make your Club information and experience even better. Watch for cool, new stuff going on. See you at the club, Thursdays, FRIDAYS, Saturdays and Sundays. Shoot straight and be Safe. See you at the Club. Have Fun. Keep Smiling.
